GDV-101SD-RM Remote Controller

1) GVD-101SD-A: This unit records both video and audio
2) GDV-101SD-R: This unit records video only but has a RS485 for PTZ camera control
3) GDV-101SD-V: This unit records video only
GDV-101SD-A and GDV-101SD-R has a AV input cable with power output connector
for providing 12V DC power for camera or other 12V DC device, very convenient to use.
GVD-101SD-V records video only but provides the simplest cable connections for
applications where only video is recorded and no audio or RS485 control is required.

Remote Control of DVR
Go in the set-up menu
Enable motion detect function, User press this button start
motion alarm mode.
Disable motion detect function, User press this button stop
motion alarm mode.
Go to playback mode, In this mode user can play back
recorded AVI or JPEG file.
Capture a photo, Press this capture a photo like a camera.
Record a AVI file, Press this can start record a AVI file,You
clip movie every 1 min.
Navigate the menu settings, And select target at playback
mode, This key also can select direction at zoom and PT
mode.
Zoom tele function.
Zoom wide function, Also use switch browse mode at
playback.
To confirm your selection in menu and playback mode.
To switch between CH1 and CH2
To go in pan tite control, This function need work together
PTZ camera.

DVR Connection

AV input cable: Video (yellow female RCA), Audio (white female RCA), 12V DC
power-out (male), RS485 out (two-wire)
AV output cable: Video (yellow male RCA), Audio (white male RCA), alarm out (red male
RCA. This feature is currently not available)
DC Adapter split cable: 1in and 2-out. This is to provide an extra 12V DC output for
applications where the 12V DC power outlet is limited.

Please pay attention to the model that you purchased. Each model has the connection cables
with number of connectors different from the other models.
Basic Operation
1. Connect the camera to the DVR and the DVR to the television/monitor
2. Once the power is set at on, the power indicator is lit and the system starts initializing
3. The DVR will initially display the camera on Channel 1 or Channel 2(This will be
based MENU configuration). Pressing the CH button on the DVR's remote control will
cycle the display between Channel 1 and Channel 2 .
4. Pressing the PLAYBACK button will toggle between viewing the live images
and images stored on the SD card. For more details on viewing the stored images.
5. The CAPTURE button will manually start capture a photo.
6. The REC button will manually start recording. The clip of recording (1 or 5
minute movie clip, or no clip movie) is set within the Record Clip configuration menu.

7.The MENU button is used to enter the configuration menus.
8.The OK button is to confirm and select the current menu option within the
configuration menus.
9.The UP , RIGHT , DOWN and LEFT buttons are used to navigate the
settings and stored image menus of the DVR.
10.After finish setup, Press MENU button or select EXIT item can exit the
configuration menus.
11, Press the PLAYBACK button to toggle between viewing live images and the
movies stored on the SD Card.
12, When you start to view images and movies, the initial is latest image.
13, While viewing a single still image, RIGHT and LEFT will navigate to the
previous or next photo from the current date. UP and DOWN will navigate to
the images 3 before (above) or after (below) the current image in folder, which is
arranged as 3 images across
14, To browse the folders of images stored on SD Card, press ZOOM WIDE
button can browse 6 picture at one screen. Continue press ZOOM WIDE can repeatedly
to navigate the top folder. Images are stored in folders according to the date of capture.
15,Use the UP , RIGHT , DOWN and LEFT buttons to navigate up,
down, left and right in the folder view of images.
16,Press OK button to select a folder or start play selected movie.

17,Press UP button will stop movie playing.
18,Press OK button to select a folder or start play selected movie. Press MENU
button will start a menu where you can delete item on the SD card or format the
SD card.

Configuring Your DVR
After powering on the unit, press MENU button to enter the system menu to
configure the DVR.. Please notice that this unit can hold the setting for about 2-3 hours
after the power is disconnected. There is no battery inside to hold the setting
information.
Language setting
There are five languages that you can select. The default is English. Press OK
button after you make the selection.

Beep
This can be on and off. It is a system warning sound.
TV Standard
Depending on your country. You can select color system from different settings. The
default is “PAL”

Power On Channel
You can select which channel that you want to be the default when powering on. If you
select “Auto”, the system will check which channel has the video signal input and then
switch to that channel after few seconds.
Motion Dection
You can turn on or off the motion detection feature. For manual recording, you need to
turn the motion detection to “off”.

Motion Dection Sensitivity
You can select motion detection sensitivity from level 1 to level 12. Level 1 is the
highest and level 12 is the lowest. The deafult is level “3”.
Motion Source
You can select motion source from “Alarm Camera” or “DVR motion”. If you do not
purchase the “Alarm Camera” from us, you can only use “DVR motion”, which is
triggered by the camera connected to the DVR. This is most popular feature that you can
find on most of the DVR systems.
“Alarm Camera”: We sell a special 2-camera bundle with this type of camera to have a
sepcial internal connection so that the DVR can automatically switch channel to the one
which an event is detected from the alarm camera. If you only purchase the DVR, then

this feature is not available.
Motion Dection Time Slot
Between each motion detection recording, there will be time gap to fit different
applications. You can set the time gap from 1 second to 5 seconds.
Motion Dection Record Type
This allows you to set the record type from a photo to a 10 seconds video clip after a
motion is detected.

Record Clip
You can select the the record file length to be 5 minutes or unlimited (when set to “off”).
Prerecord
You can set the unit to have prerecord on or off. When is “on”, the unit will record few
seconds of video before the motion triggered recording begins. This allows you to “see”
what happened before the event occurred.

Photo Quality
You can set the captured photo quality to low, standard or high quality.
Record Video (Movie) Quality
This DVR can record video in CIF (320 x 240) or D1 (704 x 576) resolution. At D1
resolution setting, each channel will take approximately 1GB storage space per channel
per hour, so a 4GB card can be used for continuos recording for about 4 hours. It is
strongly recommended that motion detection recording should be used wherever is
possible.

File overwrite
This seeting allows you to either overwrite or not overwrite the existing files on the SD
card.
Video (Movie) Time Stamp
You can select whether to have the date and time stamp on the recorded video or not.
