I、Connecting diagram
1-1 For the high speed dome camera with alarm function (JE-900H)

1-3 Note of installing
RS485 is polarity, it must be connected Positive to Positive, negative to Negative
For the AC adaptor, the best way is put it into the alarm mounting for insuring enough power
to feed the camera

Note:
1. Code 147,148 is for the camera with alarm function.
2. Code 160, 161 is special for low speed camera
3. Code 165,166 and 95 is for special order
4. above code is fixed and stored in the camera, you must enter the code number and key “preview”
( some controller named invoke, call or function key) on controller for its function.
The code on the above table is the important details for operation the camera.
3-1 Setup and Preview Preset Positions
The camera can store the current pan, tilt and zoom position with relative number, you can quickly
preview those positions when you needed, Users can use the devices as keyboard controller to save
and preview preset positions fast and conveniently. The JE 900 series speed dome camera can store up
to 128 preset positions.
Setup preset positions
After move (pan, tilt and zoom) the camera to the position you want to monitor, enter a number for
the code of preset position and press the “PRESET” key, then you have done successfully.
Example: Set up preset position No.1
a. Use the joystick to move the dome camera to the desired position.
b. Enter “1”
c. Press the “PRESET” key

Preview Preset Positions
The function can command the camera to quickly return to the preset position you set.
Enter the number you need to preview, Press the “PREVIEW” key, then the dome camera returns to
the preset position.
Example: Preview Preset position No.2
a. Enter “2”
b. Press the “PREVIEW” key
The camera will go to the preset 2 immediately
3-2 Setup and running of Tour group
User can program the preset positions into the automatic tour in the required order, when necessary,
run the tour group, the camera will automatically scan the preset positions set in the tour consecutively
and circularly. Up to 16 preset positions can be saved in one tour group.

The code 140, 141, 142 is special for setup and run a tour group
“142” + “PREVIEW” key for command the camera to tour.
“140” + “PREVIEW” key for programming a tour group.
“141” + “PREVIEW” key for exiting the setup.
For Example, Program a tour in order to scan 1→2→5→3→4→6 preset (preset 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, was set
successfully). The steps is as below:
1. Key “140” + “PREVIEW” to start a tour setup
2. Key “1” + “PREVIEW” for the First tour position
3. Key “2” + “PREVIEW” for the Second tour position
4. Key “5” + “PREVIEW” for the Third tour position
5. Key “3” + “PREVIEW” for the Fourth tour position
6. Key “4” + “PREVIEW” for the Fifth tour position
7. Key “6” + “PREVIEW” for the Sixth tour position
8. Key “141” + “PREVIEW” to exit tour setup
9. Key “142” + “PREVIEW” to command the camera to tour, the dome camera will be in order
of 1→2→5→3→4→6 to scan.
Dwell time, and more one tour groups setup, please refer the controller menu to do.
3-3 Setup and scan between two points
The user can freely set a beginning point as the Left Limiting Position, an end point as the Right
Limiting Position. Meanwhile, the user can also set the zoom times on the position, the camera only
store the parameters on the beginning point. (Attention: If the beginning point is the same as the end
point, the dome will scan 360°) The operation is as below:
For High speed dome camera(JE900H series)
a. Set up the Left Limited Position: Operate the joystick towards left, adjust the image to the desired
position, then key 130 + Preview on controller
b. Set up the Right Limiting Position: After the Left Limiting position is set up well, operate the joystick
towards right, adjust the image to the desired position, then key 130 + Preview on controller

For low speed dome camera(JE900L series)
a. Key “160 + PREVIEW” key to activate the function for setup of left/right limited positions
b. Control the dome camera by joystick, moves it to the right direction and reaches the desired point as
a right limiting position, then Key “131 + PREVIEW” key, now the right limited position has been
done successfully. As the same, you can do left limited position setup with key “130 + preview”.
c. Key “161 + PREVIEW” to exit the setup. Now the setup of left/right limited positions is completed.
After you did above, you can command the camera to scan between tow points with below code
1. Key “132 + Preview” on controller, the camera will scan between two points with low speed
2. Key “133 + Preview” on controller, the camera will scan between two points with medium speed
3. Key “134 + Preview” on controller, the camera will scan between two points with high speed
3-4 Start 360°scanning function of the Pan/Tilt
The Camera can be 360°endless horizontal scanning for all-direction monitoring. Three speeds can be
optional: “135” for low speed, “136”for medium speed, “137”for high speed.
3-5 Setup, Activate and Exit Default Position
The unit has a default position. The user can set up default position for a key monitoring area
according to actual requirement. The function means that the dome camera will automatically move to
the default position for monitoring If it is not operated after 5 minutes.
1. Setup of the Default Position
Move the dome camera to a key monitoring area by joystick, enter number “164” and press the
“PREVIEW” key, then the setup is successful.
2. Activate and Exit the Default Position function
Enter number “162” and press “PREVIEW” key for enabling the function.
Enter number “163” and press “PREVIEW” key for disabling the function.

3-6 Setup, Activate and Exit alarm function
The diagram of alarm connecting is as following. With the alarm function, the camera auto tours up
to 4 areas where need to motion, once the one of alarm sensors is triggered, the camera will rapid run
and stay toward the where motion detected.

How to operate alarm function
Step 1: Setup at alarm preset positions.
Setup preset position 1 for alarm 1
Setup preset position 2 for alarm 2
Setup preset position 3 for alarm 3
Setup preset position 4 for alarm 4
Step 2: Setup an alarm cruising group.
All alarm preset positions (preset position 1~4) must setup in the same group.
Step 3: Running alarm tour
Enter “142+ preview” on keyboard controller to start the alarm preset cruising.
Step 4: Run and exit alarm system

Enter “147+ preview” on keyboard controller to enable the alarm function,
Enter number “148+ preview” on keyboard controller to disable the alarm function,
Attention:
a. Alarm input must be ON/OFF input signal, any other type of input signal (such as power voltage etc)
is possible to damage the unit. When there are alarm signals from multi-channels, the unit will respond
to them one by one, the interval is 2 seconds.
b. Once there is alarm signal coming in, the unit will not respond to “Scan”, “Cruising” etc functions.
Manual operation is needed to restore “Scan”, “Cruising” etc functions.
c. Whether the alarm function is enabled or not, the alarm output always responds. For example, under
the alarm function is inactive mode, the camera will not move to the position alarm triggered, but the
alarm output still responds.
e. A 2.2KΩ resistor must be connecting for the channel without detector, otherwise the camera will
thinks that there is alarm signal coming in, thus the alarm output is always on.
3-7 Configure the camera module parameter
Key “145 + Preview”on controller for enter into camera module OSD menu
Key “146 + Preview”on controller for exit OSD menu
Enter “145 + preview” on the keyboard, then camera module OSD menu will be popped on the the
screen for setting

IV、Protocol, Baud Rate and Camera ID setup
It is important to know how to setup the protocol, baud rate and camera, the camera can be controlled by
controller that is both of them with same protocol, baud rate and camera ID
4-1 For the low speed series(JE900L)
There are two Dip-switches on the circuit board, SW1 8 bit switches for setup the camera ID and baud
rate, SW2 6 bit switches for setup protocol, the setup diagram is as below:

4-2 For the high speed series(JE900H)
There are two Dip-switches beside inside cover, SW1 8 bit switches for setup the camera ID and baud
rate, SW2 4 bit switches for setup protocol (1, 2) and Baud Rate(3, 4). The setup diagram is as below:
