This fine piece of furniture will make a handsome
addition to your home. For the best results, start by
reading both the Assembly Instructions and
Finishing Hints before you begin your project.
Do not climb, sit or stand on this piece of
furniture.
Unload items from this unit prior to moving.
Do not overload shelves and drawers on this unit.
Before loading or moving this unit, check all screws
and supports for tightness.
For maximum stability, attach unit to the wall using
the enclosed hardware as per instructions.
Production Code:
Read both the Assembly Instructions and Finishing
Hints completely before beginning.
Store the parts: 1) in their box; 2) in a dry place; 3) in
temperatures ranging from 40° to 90°. (Not on a cold,
possibly damp, cement floor.)
Inspect your furniture periodically for any loose glue
joints or screws, or any other problem which may
be affecting the stability of your furniture. Tighten or
repair as needed.

If a top panel should become cupped, do not be alarmed. The top was flat when it was manufactured. It is a
natural characteristic of wood in an unfinished state to cup from uneven moisture conditions. The figure at the
right shows an exaggerated view of what could happen. This only means that the convex
side has absorbed moisture, or the concave side has dried out.
Usually a cupped panel will equalize and straighten out if both sides are exposed to
similar conditions for a day or so.

TOOLS REQUIRED:
Phillips Head Screwdriver, Mallet or Padded Hammer, Wood Glue, Tape Measure
WE RECOMMEND FINISHING THE UNIT BEFORE FINAL ASSEMBLY.
Before finishing, read enclosed finishing hints.
NOTE: Due to the fact that more than one type of hardwood is used, we recommend
testing for desired color.
To test stain for desired color on:
a) Veneer parts – apply stain to unexposed portion of Bottom Shelf (A). See FIGURE 3.
b) Alder pieces – apply stain to back of Base (B). See FIGURE 3.

2. Glue three Wood Dowels (N) in each Side
Assembly (C & E).
Tap in two Rafix Cams (O), with notch facing
the edge, into the larger holes near the top
edge of each Side Assembly (C & E).
Screw four Rafix Bolts (P) into the Top (F).
Screw Cam Connectors (Q):
• Two in each Side Assembly (C & E)
• Four in the Base (B)

4. Attach upper and lower Sleepers (D), with notches facing in, to the Left Side Assembly (C) gluing
the Wood Dowels (N) and securing each with Screws (S). The front edge of the sleepers must be
parallel with the front edge of the legs. See FIGURE 4.
Attach the Bottom Shelf Assembly (A & B) to the Left Side Assembly (C) gluing the Wood Dowel
(N) in the Left Side Assembly (C) into the Base (B). Fasten Bottom Shelf (A) in place with two
Cam Housings (R).

6. Lay the Top (F) on a protected surface and lower the Side Assemblies down over the Rafix
Bolts (P) in the top. Tighten Rafix Cams (O). Secure the upper Sleeper (D) to the Top (F) using
Screw (T) through the pre-drilled holes in the upper Sleeper (D). See FIGURE 6

5. Rotate Left Side Assembly and set in place on the right Side Assembly (E) and repeat step 4 to
secure pieces together. See FIGURE 5.

8. Stand the unit upright. Remove the outer slide section from each Ball Bearing Slide (ZA). To do
so, fully extend the slide as shown, press the release lever and remove each outer section. See
FIGURE 8.

7. To square the unit, lay it face down on a protected surface, measure from top left to bottom right
and from bottom left to top right . Measurements should be equal. If the line is
longer, tap bottom of Left Side Assembly (C) until measurements are equal. If line is longer,
tap bottom of Right Side Assembly (E). See FIGURE 7A.
Connect the two Backs (G) together using the Plastic H-Channel (U). Make sure to connect the
edges that do not have pre-drilled holes. See FIGURES 7C & 7D.
Attach the Backs (G) to the unit using Screws (V). Make sure the bottom edge of the back is flush
with the bottom edge of bottom shelf and equal distance from the sides.
Tap Tack Glides (X) into the bottom of each back leg. Thread the Adjustable Glides (Y) onto the
Plastic Inserts (Z) and tap into the holes in the bottom of the front legs. See FIGURES 7B & 7D.

10. Attach each outer slide section (ZA) removed earlier to each side of the drawer. Align the two
outer holes on the slide with the pre-drilled holes on the Drawer Sides (H) and use Screw (V)
to hold slide in place. Make sure the closed end of the outer slide section is toward the Drawer
Face (K). Secure the outer slide section with a third Screw (V) in one of the middle holes. See
FIGURE 10A.
Square the drawer by measuring from left front to right rear and from right front to left rear. The
measurements should be equal. If one is longer, hold the drawer by the corners on the longest
line and squeeze them together until square. See FIGURE 10B.
Attach two Knobs (ZB) to the Drawer Face (K) using two 1½” Machine Screws (ZC). See
FIGURE 10C.

9. Attach two Drawer Sides (H) to the Drawer End (I) with Screw (T) through the predrilled holes in
the sides. The grooves for the Drawer Bottom must line up. Slide the Drawer Bottom (J) into the
grooves. Attach the Drawer Face (K) to the Drawer Sides (H) using Screw (T). See FIGURE 9.

12. Determine where you want to locate the Adjustable Shelf (L). Tap the Shelf Brackets (ZD) into
the holes with the flat side down. Insert the shelf as shown. See FIGURES 12A & 12B. Secure
the shelf to the unit using Screws (ZE) through the holes in the bottom of the Shelf Brackets
(ZD) into the Shelf (L).
Center and attach the Double Magnetic Catch (ZF) to the underside of the lower Sleeper
(D). Make sure the back of the Magnetic Catch (ZF) is flush with the back edge of the lower
Sleeper (D). Use the pan head screws provided in the kit to secure the catch in place. See
FIGURES 12C & 12D.

11. Install Drawer into the unit by aligning the outer slide section with the inner tracks attached to
the side assemblies. As the drawer is pushed in you will feel resistance. Continue pushing the
drawer in until it is fully closed.

14. Attach each Door (M) to the unit. On each Side Assembly (C & E) there are two pre-drilled holes
to aid in aligning the door hinges. Use the uppermost pre-drilled hole to attach top hinge through
its uppermost hole. Likewise, use the lowermost pre-drilled hole to attach the bottom hinge
through its lowermost hole. Use Screw (ZH) in these holes. See FIGURE 14A. Once each door
is in place use a second Screw (ZH) in each hinge to hold it securely. See FIGURE 14B.
Attach a Knob (ZB) to each door using a 1¼” Machine Screw (ZI). See FIGURE 14C.

13. Attach two Minaret Hinges (ZG) to each Door (M). Align the outermost hole in each hinge
with the outermost pre-drilled hole in the back of the door and secure with Screw (ZH). See
FIGURE 13A. Once in place, hold the Minaret Hinge (ZG) tightly against the edge of the door
and use a second Screw (ZH) in each hinge to hold it in place. DO NOT PUT A SCREW (ZH)
IN THE CENTER HOLE OF THE HINGE AT THIS TIME. See FIGURE 13B.

15. Attach a Magnetic Catch Plate (ZF) to the upper inside corner of each door where they will make
contact with the Double Magnetic Catch. Use the flat head screws in the magnetic catch kit to
hold each plate in place. See FIGURE 15A
When the unit is in its final location, level the unit by rotating the Adjustable Glides (Y). See
FIGURE 15B.
The doors need to be level and have equal gaps all the way around. Adjust one door at a time
by slightly loosening the four Screws (ZH) in each hinge. The oval screw holes in the hinges
allow some adjustment of the door up and down and side to side. Retighten the screws once the
door is in place. When both doors are adjusted insert the third Screw (ZH) in each hinge. See
FIGURE 15C.

16. Once in place and level, install the Furniture Tipping Restraint (ZJ). Carefully follow the
instructions contained on the package.
