Care and cleaning
!
WARNING: Ensure that the unit is switched off and unplugged
before removing the blades or cleaning the appliance.
Unlock the blades by sliding them apart. Always hold the
blades behind the safety guard when handling and cleaning.
Wash the blades in warm soapy water with a soft cloth or
sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
Do not use abrasive scouring pads or powders on the blades.
After cleaning, always store the blades in the plastic sleeves
provided. Clean the blade handle with a soft, damp cloth.
Handwash only. Not dishwasher safe.
Slicing hints
- Always place food to be sliced on a wooden or plastic
chopping board. Do not slice food on china, metal or
countertops, as surfaces may be scratched. It will not be
necessary to saw at the food or force the blades through it.
- Do not attempt to sharpen the blades. To maintain blades,
do not cut through frozen foods, bones, stones or similarly
hard substances.
- For best results when carving, allow the cooked meat to
stand for 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to
settle and makes carving easier and less messy.
- Before carving meat or chicken, remove skewers. You can
leave the string around the meat. A carving fork can help
you to carve even slices.
