General Informaon
The LED on the instrument will begin rapidly blinking Orange instead of Blue (see the instrument LED codes
on page 5). If the LED is slowly blinking Orange, this indicates that less than 20 minutes of baery power
remains.
The total amount of operaonal me varies, normal use is approximately 10 hours of connual use before
the low power signal is displayed. Like a cell phone, the instrument uses more power when acve and
recording data than when in the o power state. Our recommendaon is to place the instrument on the
charger as quickly as possible aer the low power signal comes on.
Yes. The instrument will funcon without a full charge, but the operaonal me will be signicantly reduced.
You should place the instrument back on the charger to completely charge the baery as soon as possible.

The inial charge takes four (4) connuous hours of charging to complete. The rst charge is important as it
can aect the amount of power the baery will hold. Subsequent charges should also be completed in four
hours, or unl the device indicates that charging is complete.
We have designed special circuitry to protect the instrument’s electronic components. The instrument
automacally turns o aer four (4) to six (6) hours, or when charging is complete. Devices should be le
to charge unl they indicate that they are done. As with any Lithium Polymer baery, leaving instrument
connected to the charger for extended periods (e.g. weeks) can reduce the overall life of the baery. Leaving
instrument connected over the weekend should not aect the life of the baeries.
