Identifying the parts of your Judge Cordless Kettle

Before first use
1. Remove any labels and/
or swingtickets.
2. Wash the inside of the Stainless steel
kettle body with liquid detergent
and warm water, rinse and dry.
3. Wipe the outside of the Stainless
steel kettle body and Lid
with a cloth, using liquid
detergent and warm water.
◆DO NOT IMMERSE ANY PART
OF THE KETTLE IN WATER.
4. Follow the “How to use” instructions
to boil the maximum amount of
water, then discard the water.
5. Repeat step 4 above.
Cleaning & Care
◆Allow the Kettle to cool
completely before cleaning.
1. Wash the inside of the Stainless steel
kettle body with liquid detergent
and warm water, rinse and dry.
2. Wipe the outside of the Stainless
steel kettle body and Lid
with a cloth, using liquid
detergent and warm water.
◆DO NOT IMMERSE ANY PART
OF THE KETTLE IN WATER.
◆Do not use harsh abrasive
cleaners, metal objects or a
brush with metal bristles.
◆Descale the Kettle regularly. The Filter
can also be remeved for cleaning.
◆To minimise scale build-up remove
all water when the kettle is not
in use (especially overnight).
◆When the Kettle is not in use, remove
all water and store in a dry place.
How to use
1. Position the Base on a level
and stable surface; unwind the
Mains Lead from the Base to
achieve the optimum length: please
read the CAUTIONS on siting and
connecting to your mains electricity.
2. Use the Lid Opening Button
to open the Lid .
3. Fill the Kettle as required - never
less water than the Minimum
(0.5L) level shown, or more than
the Maximum (MAX) level on
the Water Level Indicator .
4. Close the Lid by pushing it down.
5. Return the Kettle body to the Base .
6. Plug the base Mains Plug into a mains
power socket and switch the socket ON.
7. Switch the Kettle ON by moving the On/
Off Switch downwards. The Switch
will illuminate while the Kettle is heating.
8. The water will boil and then the
Kettle will switch OFF automatically
- the On/Off Switch will
return to the Off position.
9. The boiling sequence of the Kettle can
be interrupted at any time by moving
the On/Off Switch upwards.
10. Switch off the mains socket and
remove the Mains Plug .
11. Pour water from the Spout
of the Kettle, as required.
12. TAKE CARE WITH VERY HOT WATER.
13. Once the water has cooled, it can
be reheated by pressing the On/
Off Switch . This will not function
while the water is still hot.
14.THE KETTLE HAS OVERHEATING
PROTECTION, WHICH WILL
AUTOMATICALLY SWITCH IT OFF.
HOWEVER, YOU SHOULD TAKE CARE
NOT TO ALLOW IT TO BOIL DRY.

Cautions
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an
external timer or a separate remote-control system. Always
keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
Ensure that your home electrical supply corresponds to the
requirements of the appliance - see “Specications”.
Do not connect the Mains Plug into the socket, or use the
appliance, if your hands or the appliance are wet.
Unplug the appliance whenever it is not in use.
THE APPLIANCE MUST ALWAYS BE EARTHED - always
connect to a mains socket with an earth connection.
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is operating.
The Mains Lead should be positioned so as not to cause an
obstruction or to overhang the edge of the surface, where it
could accidentally be snagged or pulled by children.
Do not use the appliance outdoors.
Do not place the appliance close to a heat source.
Ensure that the Mains Lead is not near any hot surface.
Never switch the kettle on during descaling
Pull the plug (do not pull Mains Lead) to disconnect from mains
socket.
Do not pull the Mains Lead to move the appliance.

It is not recommended that the appliance be used with an
extension lead. If this cannot be avoided, ensure that the
extension lead is of the correct electrical rating.
As the appliance becomes hot during use, take care when
handling it and use only the handle to lift.
Do not tilt the appliance backwards when lling or carrying it.
The appliance should be used only as instructed and for the
purpose for which it was intended; there is potential for injury or
damage from misuse.
Do not use the appliance to heat liquids other than clean water.
Do not switch on or attempt to operate the appliance if it
appears to be faulty in any way - contact Judge Customer
Services at the address given in the warranty section.
Never attempt to make any repair to the appliance yourself -
contact Judge Customer Services at the address given in the
warranty section.
DO NOT IMMERSE ANY PART OF THE
APPLIANCE IN WATER.
Should the appliance accidentally fall into water, unplug
immediately and do not use; contact Judge Customer Services
at the address given in the warranty section.
Please keep your purchase receipt.
