Toasting from frozen
• Follow the instructions in “How to use”, but as soon as heating begins,
press the Defrost Button 5; the Defrost Indicator will illuminate and the
heating time will be extended.
Reheating pre-toasted bread
• Follow the instructions in “How to use”, but as soon as heating begins,
press the Reheat Button 6; the Reheat Indicator will illuminate and the
heating time will be set to just sufcient to heat the toast without over-
toasting the bread, irrespective of the setting of the Toaster Browning
Control 4.
Cleaning
• Allow the Toaster to cool completely before cleaning. Switch off at the
mains and unplug from the mains socket.
1. Remove the Crumb Tray 3 from the base of the Toaster Body 1. Dispose
of any crumbs. If necessary, the Crumb Tray may be washed with warm
water and detergent, then dried thoroughly.
2. Replace the Crumb Tray 3 into the base of the Toaster Body 1.
3. Wipe the Toaster Body 1 with a cloth, slightly dampened with warm
water and detergent, then dry.
• DO NOT IMMERSE ANY PART OF THE TOASTER, OTHER THAN THE
CRUMB TRAY, IN WATER.
• Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners, steel wool scourers or brushes with
metal bristles.
Cautions
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack
of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they
are older than 8 and supervised.
• Ensure that your home electrical supply corresponds to the requirements
of the Toaster - see “Specications”.
• Do not connect the Mains Plug 10 into the socket, or use the appliance, if
your hands or the appliance are wet.
• Unplug the appliance whenever it is not in use.
• THE APPLIANCE MUST ALWAYS BE EARTHED - always connect to a
mains socket with an earth connection.
• Never leave the appliance unattended when it is operating.
• The Mains Lead 10 should be positioned so as not to cause an obstruction
or to overhang the edge of the surface, where it could accidentally be
snagged or pulled by children.
