Product Introduction
Please read this manual before installing, using or connecting the SL-
350 UPS. It has important information that should be followed to protect the
UPS and batteries and to provide for personal safety.
If you experience a problem with this equipment, please refer to the Trou-
bleshooting section in this manual, look for additional information on the
Juice Goose web site or contact Juice Goose directly.
Product Overview
The SL-350 UPS uses advanced lithium battery technology to accomplish
a light weight and thin profile. That makes this UPS well suited for installa-
tion in small spaces previously impractical for ordinary UPS designs. In
addition to battery power support, the SL-350 provides 312 Joules of pro-
tection from AC power surges and spikes.
The SL-350 is designed to be used with a detachable power cord. A three
foot cord with a right angle plug is provided with the unit. Should a different
length or style of cord be needed for a particular installation or application
one can be purchased at-large and installed into this UPS. That cord
should have a NEMA 5-15P plug as well as a female IEC style connector to
attach to the UPS.
This UPS has a power rating of 200 watts (350 VA). With that size electri-
cal power load connected and with the UPS batteries fully charged, in the
event of a utility power failure (“blackout”) the unit will provide continuous
electric power for approximately six minutes. The amount of time power is
available increases as the connected load decreases.
Status of the SL-350 UPS can be monitored using the provided software
loaded on a PC or laptop connected to the UPS via a USB cable. The USB
cable is not provided with this unit. Read further for additional details.

Installation and Startup
Before installation, inspect the unit and packaging for damage. Do
not connect if damaged. Do not attempt to repair the unit.
Connecting and Charging
Before initial use of the UPS. Plug the UPS input cord (provided or pur-
chased) into the UPS and into a wall outlet. Turn the UPS on using the
power button on the chassis. To completely charge the batteries the UPS
should be charged for at least 8 hours before use. The UPS charges its
batteries while it is connected to AC utility power and the power switch is
on.
Connecting and Powering Loads
Plug equipment to be powered by the SL-350 into output receptacles on
the UPS. That equipment will not receive power unless the UPS is turned
on. To turn it on push the On / Off power button. When pushed again,
that button will also turn off power to the outlets.

UPS LED Does Not Display, No Power Output - In this case make sure the
UPS batteries are fully charged. Allow the unit to charge for eight hours without
a load on the UPS. Make sure the power button has been pushed to turn on the
unit. If neither step solves the problem contact Juice Goose.
Battery Run Time Is Short - The strength of the battery power supply can be
tested by unplugging the unit from the wall while a load of a known size is con-
nected. The SL-350 should provide power for at least six minutes. If it does not,
remove the connected equipment, plug the unit into wall power and charge the
batteries for approximately eight hours. If that does not increase battery run
time contact Juice Goose.
Alarm Sounds or LED Blinks - Under normal operations the power LED on
the unit should be on continuously and there should be no sound from the UPS.
If that is not the case, consult this manual for indications of probable causes. In
the event of a blackout the LED and audible alarm will occur every ten seconds.
Any other visible or audible alarm is an indication of a fault with either the bat-
teries or the UPS. In that case
1. make note of the specific alarm indication
2. turn off the UPS and unplug it
3. contact Juice Goose.
