GreyWaterreusefromthelaundry,showerandbathwastewater.
 YourGreyWaterUnitmustbeinstalledbyalicensedplumberinaccordance
withregulationsAS/NZ3500.2.2.2003
 DonotconnecttoakitchensinkorToiletasthisisclassedasBlackWaterand
isnotsuitableforthisunitorforreuse.
 OnlyconnecttosubsurfaceirrigationsuchasGreyWaterDriptubeorsullage
drainpipe.
WerecommendthatyoualsocheckwithyourlocalWaterAuthorityforapprovalof
thistypeofSeasonalUseGreyWaterDiversiondevice.
Itismandatorythatthepowercircuittothisunitisprotectedbyaresidualcurrent
circuitbreakerandwehighlyrecommendasurgeprotectiondevicebefittedaswell.

INSTALLATION
Thisunitmustbeinstalledbyalicensedplumberandorserviceagent.Failureto
complywillvoidthewarranty
1.Yourplumber/installerwillinstallorlocateyourdedicatedGreyWater
Wastepipes.
2.Allowapprox350mmfromgroundleveltocut‐inpointInletpipe.
3.Ifyourpipeworkisdeeperthanthis,optionalrisersof200mmareavailable.
4.Theoverflowpipemustbeconnectedtoasewerdischargepointsuchasa
gullytrap.
5.Excavateasuitableareaapprox800mmdeep1000mmlongand600mm
wide.
Allowenoughroomforconnectiontopipework,electricalcableandconduit.
6.Makesurethebaseislevelusingfreeflowingpackingsand.Taketimetolevel
theunitandsetthecorrectheightsforthepipework.
7.Connectthepipe‐workmakingsuretheinletandoverflowpipesarecorrectly
plumbed,inaccordancewithAS3500.
8.Astheunithasaleadanda3pinplug,havealicensedelectricianinstalla
suitablepoweroutletadjacenttheunit.Makesuretheelectricalcableis
protectedatalltimes,andobserveelectricalregulationsinyourstate.
9.Connectthe25mmnon‐returnvalvetothedischargeoftheunit.
10.Connectthe25mmLilacpipe‐worktoyourirrigationsystem.
11.Afterallconnectionsarecompletedtotheregulationsyoucanbackfillthe
surroundingvoidwithsuitablematerial.(Freeflowingsandispreferred)Do
notbackfillwithsharporbrokenrocksthatmaydamageordistorttheunit.
12.Inspectthepittomakesureitisfreeofsandanddebristhatcoulddamage
thepump.
13.Youcantesttheoperationbyfillingwithwaterandobservingthewaterlevel,

13.Youcanfilltheunitwithcleanwatertocheckoperationoffloatsanduse
thatcleanwatertoflushtheirrigationsystem.
14.Onceyouarehappytheunitisoperatingcorrectlyliftthehandleonthe
bypassvalvetoopentheflowintotheunit.
15.Refitthetopcoverandlockthelidwithyourkey.
16.Yourunitisnowservicedandreadyforoperation.
Atthistimeitisgoodpracticetocheckoveryourirrigationsystem.
Turnonthedrainvalvesattheendofyourirrigationlinesandremoveany
sedimentthatmayhaveaccumulatedinthepipes.Checkforanyleaksor
damagetotheirrigationpipework.Repairasnecessary.

IrrigationSystemisnotconnectedatthisstage,thiswillallowtheunittobe
flushedout.

Ifamanifoldisusedontheirrigationsystem,atleastonevalvemustbeopenatall

Troubleshooting
WaterdoesnotflowintotheunitCheckthebypassvalve,makesurethehandleis

Duetothehighflowcapabilitiesofthe3dimensionalfiltersyoushouldonlyneedto
cleanyourunitafterapproximately40,000+litresofflowthrough.
Dependingofthenumberofoccupantsandtheamountofwaterflowingthrough
yourunitthecleaningcyclewillbebetween180–360days.
Yourfiltersstillwillkeepworkingevenuptomaximumcapacity.
Someheavyloadsituationsmayrequireservicingyourunitonamorefrequentbasis.
Ifyouareconsideringnotusingyourunitforanextendedperiodoftimesuchasafew
months,pleasecarryoutafullserviceandcleanbeforedecommissioning.Thiswill
keepyourunitinoptimumconditionandeliminatebacteriabuildup.

Whenservicingandcleaningyourunitwerecommendthatyouwearprotective
rubberglovesandavoidskincontactasmuchaspossible.


sumppump,orspongetheremainingresidualfromtheunit.
