“SOME DO’S AND DON’TS ON THE SAFE USE OF EQUIPMENT”
This equipment has been designed and manufactured to meet international safety standards
but, like any electrical apparatus, care must be taken if you are to obtain the best results and
safety is to be assured.
Do read the operating instructions before you attempt to use the equipment.
Do ensure that all electrical connections (including the plug, extension cord and inter-
connections between pieces of equipment) are properly made and in accordance
with the manufacturer’s instructions. Switch off and withdraw the plug when making
or changing connections.
Do consult your dealer if you are ever in doubt about the installation or operation or
safety of your equipment.
Do be careful with glass panels or doors on equipment.
DON’Tcontinue to operate the equipment if you are in any doubt about it working normally,
or if it is damaged in any way – switch off – withdraw the plug and consult your
dealer.
DON’Tremove any fixed cover as this may expose dangerous voltages.

it is designed for unattended operation or has a standby mode. Switch off using the

CAUTIONS
Headphones
1For your safety…
• Never use the headphones when driving a car, motorcycle, or bicycle. This could result in an accident.
• Pay close attention to traffic around you when using the headphones while walking. Not doing so could
result in an accident.
• Be careful not to turn the sound volume up too high when using the headphones. Your hearing can be
damaged by listening to sounds at excessive volume for long periods.
• Do not disassemble or modify the headphones.
• Do not allow inflammables, water or metallic objects to enter the headphones.
2Avoid using the headphones…
• in places subject to excessive humidity or dust.
• in places subject to extremely high (over 40°C or 104°F) or extremely low (under 0°C or 32°F)
temperatures.
3DO NOT leave the headphones…
• in direct sunlight.
• near a heater.
4To protect the headphones, DO NOT…
• allow them to get wet.
• drop them or strike them against hard objects.
䡲Be careful not to add power that exceeds the headphones’ input capacity. This may result in distorted sound and
could damage the oscillation board.
䡲When disconnecting the headphones, grasp the headphone plug. Do not pull on the cord.
Battery
If the batteries are used incorrectly, they may leak, heat or explode, and may cause fire, injury or soiling.
Make note of the following:
1Use only AA (R6P) batteries.
2Use only the batteries specified for use with these headphones.
3Insert batteries with the (+) and (–) polarities correctly positioned, following the indications on the
equipment.
4Do not use a new battery with an old one, and do not use batteries holding different amounts of charge
together.
5Do not throw batteries in a fire or heat them.
6Do not short-circuit the positive (+) and negative (–) terminals. Also, do not carry or store them with small
metallic objects such as necklaces or coins.
7Do not deform, take apart, modify or directly solder the batteries.
8Do not remove or damage the covering tube.
9If you notice phenomena that has never happened before, such as leakage, colour change or deformity,
stop using the batteries.
10 If any liquid from the batteries gets into your eyes, it may cause blindness. If battery liquid does get into
your eyes, do not rub them , but instead immediately wash them thoroughly with clean water, then
consult a doctor at once. Also, should any liquid from the rechargeable batteries get onto your skin or
clothes, it may burn your skin. In this case, wash with clean water immediately.
11 Do not immerse or wet the batteries in water.
12 Do not use or leave the batteries in an area where the temperature becomes significantly higher, such as
in direct sunlight, inside a car on a hot day or near heat-generating equipment.
13 Do not subject the batteries to strong shocks or throw them.
14 When discarding the batteries, cover the positive (+) and negative (–) terminals with adhesive tapes.
15 Be sure to read the cautions on the batteries.

ATTENTION
Casque
1Pour votre sécurité…
• N’utilisez jamais de casque en conduisant une voiture, une moto ou un vélo. Le risque d’accident est réel.
• Faites bien attention à ce qui se passe autour de vous si vous portez le casque en promenade ; la
distraction peut provoquer des accidents.
• Veillez à ne pas pousser le volume sonore du casque trop haut. Un niveau excessif pendant une durée
assez longue peut porter atteinte à votre ouïe.
• Ne démontez ni ne modifiez pas le casque.
• Evitez toute pénétration de liquides ininflammables, d’eau ou d’objets métalliques dans le casque.
2Evitez d’utiliser le casque…
• dans les lieux trop humides ou poussiéreux
• dans les lieux soumis à des températures extrêmes (plus de +40°C ou –0°C).
3NE laissez PAS le casque…
• en plein soleil
• près d’un chauffage.
4Pour protéger le casque,…
• NE le laissez PAS à l’humidité
• NE le laissez PAS tomber et ne heurtez pas d’objets durs.
䡲Veillez à ne pas appliquer une puissance supérieure à ce que le casque peut supporter. Il en résulterait de la
distorsion du son et même éventuellement une détérioration de la carte d’oscillation.
䡲Pour débrancher le casque, ne tirez pas sur son cordon mais sur sa fiche.
Piles
Une mauvaise utilisation des piles peut se traduire par des fuites, une surchauffe ou l’explosion avec pour
conséquence, blessures, feu ou souillures. Respectez les conseils suivants:
1N’utilisez que des piles AA (R6P).
2N’utilisez que les piles indiquées pour ce casque.
3Introduisez les piles en respectant les polarités (+) et (–) figurant dans le logement des piles.
4Ne mélangez pas piles neuves et usagées, et n’utilisez pas ensemble des piles de charges différentes.
5Ne jetez pas les piles au feu ; ne les chauffez pas.
6Ne court-circuitez pas les pôles positif (+) et négatif (–). Ne transportez pas et ne rangez pas les piles avec
des petits objets métalliques comme colliers ou pièces de monnaie.
7Ne déformez, n’ouvrez, modifiez ou soudez pas directement les piles.
8N’enlevez ni ne détériorez pas la jaquette.
9Si vous remarquez des phénomènes jamais vus auparavant comme des fuites, un changement de couleur
ou une déformation, éliminez les piles.
10 Si du liquide de piles vient en contact avec les yeux, il peut en résulter la cécité : ne vous frottez jamais les
yeux, mais au contraire, rincez-les tout de suite abondamment à l’eau claire et consultez immédiatement un
médecin. Si du liquide de batterie rechargeable vient en contact avec la peau ou des vêtements, cela peut
brûler ; rincez immédiatement à l’eau claire.
11 Ne plongez pas les piles dans l’eau et ne les mouillez pas.
12 N’utilisez pas ou ne laissez pas les piles à un endroit où la température s’élève fortement comme en plein
soleil, à l’intérieur d’une voiture par temps chaud ou près d’une source de chaleur.
13 Ne soumettez pas les piles à des chocs violents et ne les jetez pas.
14 Avant d’éliminer des piles, collez un bout d’adhésif sur les pôles positif (+) et négatif (–).
15 Lisez les consignes de sécurité imprimées sur les piles.

䡲Schließen Sie keine Geräte an, deren Leistung die Eingangskapazität der Kopfhörer überschreitet. Dies könnte
zu Klangverzerrungen und zur Beschädigung der Membran führen.

Batterien
Batterien können bei unsachgemäßem Gebrauch auslaufen, sich erwärmen oder explodieren und Brände,

einen Arzt aufsuchen. Falls Flüssigkeit aus wiederaufladbaren Batterien mit Haut oder Kleidung in
Berührung kommt, können Verätzungen auftreten. Bei Hautkontakt sofort mit sauberem Wasser spülen.
11 Batterien nicht in Wasser tauchen oder mit Wasser in Kontakt bringen.
12 Batterien nicht an Orten lagern, an denen höhere Temperaturen auftreten können, z.B. unter direkter
Sonneneinstrahlung, in einem Fahrzeug oder in der Nähe wärmeerzeugender Geräte.
13 Batterien nicht werfen oder starken Erschütterungen aussetzen.
14 Bei der Entsorgung der Batterien den Plus(+)pol und den Minus(-)pol mit Klebeband abdecken.
15 Vorsichtshinweise auf den Batterien sorgfältig lesen.

• vicino a un termosifone.
4Per proteggere le cuffie, NON…
• bagnarle.
• farle cadere e non premervi contro oggetti duri.
䡲Fare attenzione a non usare apparecchi con potenza superiore alla capacità in ingresso della cuffia in quanto il
suono potrebbe risultare distorto e danneggiare l’oscillatore.
䡲Per scollegare la cuffia dall’apparecchio a cui è collegata, estrarre lo spinotto e non tirare mai il cavo.
Batterie
Utilizzando le batterie in modo scorretto, vi è il rischio di fuoriuscita del liquido contenuto al loro interno,
surriscaldamento o esplosione con conseguente pericolo di incendi, danni alle persone o imbrattamento.
Prendere nota di quanto segue:
1Utilizzare esclusivamente batterie AA (R6P).
2Utilizzare esclusivamente le batterie indicate per queste cuffie.
3Inserire le batterie con le polarità (+) e (–) correttamente posizionate seguendo le indicazioni riportate
sull’apparecchio.
4Non utilizzare insieme batterie vecchie e nuove né batterie con livelli di carica diversi.
5Non gettare le batterie nel fuoco e non riscaldarle.
6Non mettere in cortocircuito i terminali positivo (+) e negativo (–). Inoltre, non trasportare e non conservare
le batterie insieme a piccoli oggetti metallici quali collane o monete.
7Non deformare, aprire, modificare o saldare direttamente le batterie.
8Non togliere e non danneggiare il tubo di copertura.
9In presenza di strani fenomeni mai verificatisi prima, come fuoriuscita di liquido, cambiamento di colore o di
forma, smettere di utilizzare le batterie.
10 Il liquido contenuto nelle batterie può causare cecità in caso di penetrazione dello stesso negli occhi.
Qualora il liquido penetri negli occhi, non sfregarli, bensì lavarli immediatamente con abbondante acqua
pulita e consultare subito un medico. Lo stesso liquido, a contatto con la pelle o gli indumenti, può causare
ustioni. Se si verifica tale evenienza, lavare immediatamente la parte con acqua pulita.
11 Non immergere le batterie in acqua e non bagnarle.
12 Non utilizzare e non lasciare le batterie in luoghi in cui si possano verificare forti rialzi della temperatura,
come per esempio esposte alla luce diretta del sole, all’interno di un’automobile in una giornata calda
oppure accanto a una fonte di calore (termosifone, ecc.)
13 Non sottoporre le batterie a urti violenti e non farle cadere.
14 Quando si buttano via le batterie, coprire il polo positivo (+) e quello negativo (–) con del nastro adesivo
15 Leggere le avvertenze riportate sulle batterie.

How to insert batteries
TROUBLE SHOOTING
What appears to be a malfunction may not always be serious. First, make sure
to check the following.
1Remove the
battery cover on
the right side of
the headphones.
2Insert two AA
(R6P) batteries
as shown, and
then close the
cover.
When to replace the batteries
You will need to replace the batteries when the indicator becomes dim and/or sound is
distorted when the SRS switch is ON.
Note:
Turn down the volume of connected audio source equipment to minimum when inserting or removing
the headphone plug. Otherwise the HA-SU700 and/or the connected device may be damaged.
Do not connect headphones to the line output terminals. You will be unable to obtain
sufficient volume.
When the SRS switch is turned ON or OFF, you may hear a clicking noise.
Turn the volume of the HA-SU700 down to minimum when turning the SRS switch ON or OFF.
Even at the same volume position, the headphone volume may vary depending on the SRS switch
position. Volume is also affected by the connected device and the HA-SU700’s surround level.
Depending on the connected device, noise may be produced by interference with the headphone
terminal. In this case, turn up the volume of the connected device as high as it will go without
distorting the sound, and turn down the volume of HA-SU700. This might help reduce the noise.

To save battery power, be sure to turn the SRS
switch OFF when not in use.

Einlegen der Batterien

Auswechseln der Batterien
Die Batterien müssen ausgewechselt werden, wenn die Batterieanzeige schwach wird, oder
wenn der Klang bei eingeschalteter SRS-Funktion verzerrt wirkt.
Hinweis:
Regeln Sie die Lautstärke des angeschlossenen Audiogeräts ganz herunter, wenn Sie den Kopfhörerstecker
einstecken oder abziehen. Ansonsten kann es zu einer Beschädigung des HA-SU700 und/oder des angeschlossenen
Geräts kommen.
Schließen Sie den Kopfhörer nicht an die Line-Ausgangsbuchsen an, da der hier anliegende Signalpegel zu schwach
ist.
Bei Ein- oder Ausschalten des SRS-Schalters ist ggf. ein Schaltgeräusch zu hören.
Regeln Sie die Lautstärke des HA-SU700 ganz herunter, wenn Sie den SRS-Schalter ein- (ON) oder aus- (OFF)
schalten.
Je nach Stellung des SRS-Schalters kann die gleiche Position des Lautstärkereglers unterschiedliche Lautstärkepegel
im Kopfhörer erzeugen. Die Lautstärke wird zudem durch das angeschlossene Gerät und den Surround-Pegel des
HA-SU700 bestimmt.
Je nach angeschlossenem Gerät können Störgeräusche an dem Kopfhörereingang erzeugt werden. Stellen Sie in
diesem Fall die Lautstärke des angeschlossenen Geräts auf ein Maximum ein, ohne dass es zu Verzerrungen kommt,
und regeln Sie dann die Lautstärke des HA-SU700 herunter. Das kann dazu beitragen, die Störgeräusche zu
reduzieren.

2ON/OFF (Netz-/Surround-Schalter)
Schaltet den Kopfhörer und die Surround-Funktion
gleichzeitig ein- (ON) oder aus (OFF).
Wenn der SRS-Schalter eingeschaltet (ON) wird,
schaltet sich der HA-SU700 gleichzeitig mit der
Surround-Schaltung ein.
Um die Batterien zu schonen, sollte man den SRS-
Schalter bei Nichtgebrauch ausschalten (OFF).
3SURROUND (Surround-Pegelregelung)
Ermöglicht die Einstellung des Surround-Effektpegels
(wenn die Surround-Funktion eingeschaltet (ON) ist).
4VOL (Lautstärkeregler)
Ermöglicht die Kopfhörer-Lautstärkeregelung.
5Gepolsterter Kopfbügel
Der Kopfbügel stellt sich bei Anlegen der Kopfhörer
automatisch auf die jeweilige Kopfgröße ein.
6Batteriefachdeckel
Um die Kopfhörer als Surround-Sound-Kopfhörer zu
verwenden, müssen nach Öffnen dieses Deckels zwei
Mignonbatterien (AA/R6P) in das Batteriefach
eingelegt werden.

Inserimento delle batterie
INDIVIDUAZIONE DEI GUASTI
Quello che all’apparenza sembra un guasto, puònon essere sempre tale. Innanzi
tutto, verificare quanto segue.
1Togliere il
copribatterie a
destra delle
cuffie.
2Inserire due
batterie AA
(R6P) come
indicato, quindi
chiudere il
coperchio.
Sostituzione delle batterie
Sarànecessario sostituire le batterie se la spia si indebolisce e/o il suono risulta distorto
quando l’interruttore SRS èin posizione ON.
Nota:
Quando si inserisce o si estrae lo spinotto delle cuffie, ridurre al minimo il volume della sorgente audio
collegata per evitare di danneggiare le cuffie HA-SU700 e/o l’apparecchio a cui sono collegate.
Non collegare le cuffie ai terminali di uscita in linea perchéil volume risulterebbe insufficiente.
Quando si accende (ON) o si spegne (OFF) l’interruttore SRS, èpossibile che si senta un clic.
Prima di accendere (ON) o spegnere (OFF) l’interruttore SRS, ridurre al minimo il volume delle cuffie
HA-SU700.
Anche con il comando del volume nella stessa posizione, il livello di volume puòvariare in funzione
della posizione dell’interruttore SRS. Sul volume influisce anche l’apparecchio collegato e il livello
surround dell’HA-SU700.
A seconda del tipo di apparecchio collegato, èpossibile che delle interferenze provochino un disturbo
sul terminale della cuffia. In questo caso, alzare al massimo il volume dell’apparecchio collegato
senza arrivare a distorcere il suono e abbassare il volume della cuffia HA-SU700. Questo potrebbe
aiutare a ridurre il rumore.

Insertion des piles
DEPISTAGE DES PANNES
Ce qui vous semble àpremière vue être une panne ne l’est pas toujours.
Commencez donc par faire quelques vérifications.
1Ouvrez le
couvercle du
logement des
piles du côtédroit
du casque.
2Placez deux
piles AA (R6P)
comme indiqué,
puis refermez le
couvercle.
Quand faut-il renouveler les piles
En allumant l’interrupteur SRS, si le témoin commence àfaiblir et/ou que le son présente de la
distorsion, c’est le signe que les piles doivent être remplacées.
Remarque:
Réduisez au minimum le volume de la source audio lorsque vous branchez ou débranchez la fiche du
casque HA-SU700 pour éviter tout risque de détérioration des deux appareils.
Ne branchez pas le casque àla sortie ligne : le volume que vous obtiendriez est insuffisant.
En manœuvrant (ON ou OFF) l’interrupteur SRS, vous pouvez entendre un léger clic.
Réduisez au minimum le volume du casque HA-SU700 avant de manœuvrer l’interrupteur SRS.
Pour un même réglage du potentiomètre, le volume dans le casque peut être différent selon la position
de l’interrupteur SRS. Le volume est également affectépar le type d’appareil auquel le casque est
connectéet le niveau de Surround réglépour le casque HA-SU700.
Selon l’appareil auquel le casque est branché, il peut y avoir des bruits parasites provoqués par le
raccord. Si c’est le cas, augmentez le volume de la sortie de l’appareil source jusqu’au seuil de
distorsion et réduisez le volume du casque HA-SU700. De cette manière les bruits peuvent être
atténués.
