KüschallAGguaranteesthattheirwheelchairsarefreefromdefectsand
arefullyfunctional.Thewarrantycoversallfaultsanddefectswhichare
verifiablyattributabletofaultyconstruction,substandardmaterialsor
poorworkmanship.Warrantyclaimsagainstthemanufacturermayonly
bemadebythedistributorandnotbytheuseroftheproduct.
Thewarrantydoesnotcovernormalwearandtear,theconsequences
ofimproperhandlingordamage,poormaintenanceandincorrect
assemblyorcommissioningbythepurchaserorathirdpersonorfaults
whichareattributabletocircumstancesbeyondourcontrol.Wearing
partsarenotcoveredbytheguarantee.Thewarrantyisvoidedif
modificationsaremadetotheproductwhichwerenotauthorisedand
notperformedbythespecialistdealerorifinappropriateaccessories

Qualityisfundamentaltothecompany’soperation,workingwithinthe
disciplinesofISO9001andISO13485.
ThewheelchairhasbeentestedinaccordancewithEN12183.It
includesatestforflammability.
1.4Intendeduse
Theactivewheelchairispropelledmanuallyandshouldonlybeused
forindependentorassistedtransportofadisabledpersonwithmobility
difficulties.Whenusedwithoutanassistant,itshouldonlybeusedby
personswhoarephysicallyandmentallyabletousethewheelchair
safely(e.g.topropelthemselves,steer,brake).Thewheelchairshould
onlybeusedonlevelgroundandaccessibleterrain,aswellasindoors.
Thisactivewheelchairneedstobesubscribedandfittoyourspecific
healthcondition.

stationarytopreventitfromrollingaway.

thedirectionofmovementcanbecomeuncontrollable
andthewheelchairmaystopsuddenly,whichcanlead
toacollisionortoyoufallingout.

Foldablepushhandlesareusedwhenthepushhandlesareonly
requiredoccasionally.
1.Tofolddownthepushhandles,holdthewheelchairwithonehand.
Gripthepushhandlewiththeotherandusingyourthumbactivate
therelease(1)thatisconcealedundertheplastic.
2.Atthesametimepullthepushhandlebackwards(2)andfoldit
down(3).
3.Tofoldthepushhandlesup,bringthepushhandleintothe
horizontalpositionuntilitengages.
IMPORTANT!
–Makesurethatthepushhandledoesactuallyengage
sothatitdoesnotaccidentallyfolddownwhile
pushingthewheelchair.

4.1Pelvicbelt
Yourwheelchaircanbefittedwithapelvicbeltwhichwillprevent
youfromslidingforwardinthewheelchairorfromfallingoutofthe
wheelchair.
WARNING!
Riskofseriousinjuriesthroughstrangulation.
–Ensurethatyouaresittingfullybackintheseatand
thatthepelvisisasuprightandsymmetricalas
possible-notforwardononesideortiltedback.
–Positionthelapbeltsothatthehipbonescanbefelt
abovethebelt.
–Adjustthelengthusingthebucklessothatthereis
justsufficientroomforyourhandtoslidebetween
yourbodyandthebelt.Itisrecommendedthat
theclaspiskeptinacentralposition,i.e.make
adjustmentstoeachside.
–Makesurethatthebeltcannotslideandtheclasp
doesnotdissolve.Refitthepelvicbeltifnecessary,

Ifyourwheelchairistoowideforcertainapplications,e.g.
trains/aeroplanes,narrowpassageways,narrowdoors,thetransit
wheelscanbeused.
WARNING!
–Whenusingtransitwheels,theparkingbrakesno
longerhaveanyeffectandyoucannotcontrolyour
wheelchairviathehandrims.
Switchingtotransitwheels
1.Lowerthetransitwheelsintotheoperatingposition.Todothis,
pressthepinAinwardsuntilyoucanpullthetubedown.
2.Pressthesecondpinin.
3.Pullthetubefurtherdownwardsuntilthepinengagesintotheslot.
4.Movethewheelchairtoastableobject(doorframe,heavytable),
whichyoucanuseforsupportandholdontoitfirmlywithone
hand.
5.Tiltthewheelchairuntiltherearwheelontheoppositesiderises
offthefloor.
Priortoremovingtherearwheels,thedistancebetweenthe
loweredtransitwheelsandthefloorshouldnotbemorethan
2cm.
