Important Statement
1. User shall be fully responsible for the maintenance and management of this product after
purchasing this product.
. Even in the warranty period, warranty does not include the following:
a) Damage or loss caused by error or rough using.
b) Damage or loss caused by force majeure (such as fires, earthquakes, floods, or lightning etc.).
c) Damage or loss caused by not meeting the conditions of use specified by the system, such as
inadequate power supply, incorrect installation or environmental conditions do not meeting

3. Do not modify the software or hardware of the equipment without authorization of the

alteration or repair the system by non-Kaixin designated personnel.
5. This product is intended to provide clinical diagnostic data for the doctor.
The doctor shall be responsible for the diagnostic process. Kaixin shall not be liable for any
problems arising out of the process.
6. Be sure to back up important data to external storage media, such as notebooks.
7. Due to operator’s error or abnormal condition causing the data stored in the internal system is lost,
Kaixin is not responsible.
8. This user’s manual contains warnings for predictable dangers. Users shall also exercise care at any
time to be aware of the dangers unforeseen in this manual. Kaixin shall not be liable for the
damages and losses arising out of neglecting to follow the operation instructions herein described.

Chapter 1 Overview
1.1 Introduction
W1, W are veterinary B Mode Ultrasonic Scanners, which are equipped with 3.5MHz convex
array, 7.5MHz line array wireless probes.
Wireless probe connects to ultrasound APP on the Pad or Smart Phone via Wi-Fi to form an
ultrasonic diagnostic instrument for ultrasonic diagnosis.

SN. Name Function
1 Acoustic lens
To convert electric signal to ultrasonic signal based on principle of
converse piezoelectric effect. The ultrasonic signal, after entering the
human body, is reflected as echo wave and converted to electric signal
again. The acoustic lens is on the probe surface. Supply ultrasonic
coupling gel to the acoustic lens surface when performing ultrasonic
diagnosis.
Puncture anchor To fix the puncture bracket.
3 Image orientation flag Guide the operator to use the probe correctly.
4Freeze key
Press the key freeze/unfreeze the image;
Press and hold the key to one-key save the image.
5Power switch Turn on or turn off the equipment.

Attention: System should be avoided using in following environments:

Attention:
The main voltage is varies with different countries or regions.
Danger: Do not use this equipment where flammable gas (such as anesthetic gas, oxygen
or hydrogen) or flammable liquid (such as alcohol) are present. Failure to do so may result
in explosion.
Warning: Avoid using this equipment with high-frequency electric knife, high-frequency
therapy equipment or defibrillators and other electronic devices, or may an electric shock
occur to the patient.
Attention: Using radio transmitting equipment nearby the system may interfere with
the normal operation of the system. Prohibited carry or use of devices that can generate
radio waves within the room installed this system, such as cell phones, radio transceivers
and wireless remote control toys.

Chapter 5 System Check
5.1 Place equipment
Please carefully read through and fully understand the safety cautions before moving and placing
the equipment.
1. Unpack the equipment case and check the goods for its completeness according to the packing
list.
. Place the equipment on a stable and leveled position.
5.2 Check the equipment before and after use
1. Before and after ultrasonic diagnosis to check if there are any exceptionally on the acoustic lens,
such as peeling, cracks, bulge, or if the acoustic lens is reliable, disinfected or cleaned.
. Check the equipment to ensure a normal start-up: whether the display shows the battery charge
indication and wireless network identification, and no abnormal voice, strange smell or
overheating.
3. Check the acoustic lens for abnormal heat when the equipment is in use. You can touch the probe
by hand to feel its temperature.
4. Check the image to ensure trouble-free display (no abnormal noise or flicker).
5.3 System reset
In case of abnormal screen display or no-working for system operation, try to restart the system by
turning on/off the power.
5.4 Charge the equipment
Charge the equipment with the included USB charger on the phone/Pad or portable charger. The
specifications for the charger is 5.0V, .0-3.0A.
Equipment can be used for about hours after fully charged; the shortest charging time is 3.5-4
hours, up to 4.5 hours; Over-charging or discharging will shorten the battery life.
Attention: Thoroughly clean the coupling gel on the probe surface each time after
ultrasonic operation, or the coupling gel may become hardened on the acoustic lens of the
probe, deteriorating quality of image.
Warning: The waterproof grade of the equipment is IPX4 (no adverse effect on
splashing water in all directions). Splash any liquid on the equipment may damage it. If
you accidentally splash liquid on the equipment, please immediately turn off the power
and
contact
your
service
representative.
Attention: If the overheat acoustic lens is placed on the patient’s skin, heat injury may
occur.
Warning:
1. When the equipment works abnormally, do stop working, turn off the power and check
the reason, then contacts the KAIXIN Company about it.
2. Turn off power after ultrasonic diagnostic operation.

The battery icon shows when charging status, and shows when charged.
Note: Because of the common phone charger or portable charger, this equipment is no longer
configured them. Thank you for making a contribution to saving resources for your country!
Warning:
1. When charging is complete or not charged, disconnect the charger from the equipment
and unplug the charger from the power outlet.
2. If the charger plug, shell or power cable has damaged, don’t continue to use to avoid
electric shock or fire.
3. If the charger is wet, soaked or severe moisture, please stops using and contact the
KAIXIN or agents.
4. Do not use the equipment while charging, may cause a safety risk.
5. Use unapproved or incompatible power supply, charger or battery, which may cause a
fire, explosion or other hazards.
Attention: The battery charger should conform to the CCC or the country’s phone
charger standard requirements.
Attention: When the equipment is low on power, it will automatically shut down, and
then should be charged.

Chapter 6 Getting Started
Before using the equipment, you need to install “Ultrasound APP” on your Pad or Smart Phone.
“Ultrasound APP” is suitable for Android phones or Pad.
All the icons on the Ultrasound APP may be different due to the display screen of the phone or Pad;
the display interface may be slightly different, the actual products shall govern. The usage for the phone
and Pad is similar, this article only take phone as an example to introduce.
Wi-Fi
6.1 Preparation before use
1. Obtain “Ultrasound APP” by the acquisition and install it.
. After finish the installation, set up the phone.
(1) Go to Settings, tap Display, tap Font size to adjust text size on screen, in order to display
completely, should select “Normal”.
( ) Go to Settings, tap Permissions to enter permission interface, tap “B-Ultrasound”, and open
the “Storage”.
3. After finish the operation, you can use it.
6.2 Turn on/off the equipment
Turn on the equipment: Press and hold the power switch for 3-5 seconds until the battery power
indicator and wireless signal indicator icons appear on the display screen and then let go.
Turn off the equipment: Hold down the power switch until the display appears black screen.
Attention: After the equipment is running for a while, the temperature of the equipment
will rise. If the temperature is too high, please do not contact for a long time, otherwise it
may lead to low temperature burns, causing skin swelling or pigmentation.
Attention: After the equipment is connected to the phone, if appear “No Internet
access”, please choosing “No” will leave you on the same network.
Attention: If you cannot install “Ultrasound APP”, it may be caused by 360 software
block, please check whether the phone has been installed 360 software, if installed, please
uninstall.

6.3 Getting Started
1. Turn on the equipment: Press and hold the power switch for 3-5 seconds until the battery
power indicator and wireless signal indicator icons appear on the display screen and then let go;
. Connect to WLAN. Go to Settings, tap WLAN, open WLAN, the phone will search and list the
available WLAN;
3. In the available WLAN list, select W1 or W network ID, such as “W1170 906”, connect to it;
4. After connected successfully, tap “B-Ultrasound” to enter the ultrasound interface, prompt “The
initialization data ends!”, then you can use the ultrasound APP.
Note:
1. You first turn on W1 or W2 equipment and then set up the phone’s W AN. After W AN
connection is successful, you must wait 5-6 seconds and then open the ultrasound APP.
2. The network ID of W1 or W2 equipment is the default number displayed on the shell of W1
or W2. For example, W1 shows “W11702806” or W2 shows “W21702906”.
3. When the network is disconnected, the wireless signal icons on the equipment and the
phone are flashing, and the equipment will turn off automatically after 3 minutes.
6.4 Change the language for APP
1. Go to Settings, tap Language & input, tap Language and choose the used language;
. After finish the settings, enter the ultrasound APP again, the ultrasound interface appears the
changed language.
Note: KAIXIN ultrasound APP supports Chinese and English. English chooses United States.
Other languages are not support.

Chapter 7 Settings
In the frozen state, press key to display Setup dialog box, as shown below. In the Setup dialog
box, you can set company name, gray ruler, grid, goat variety, wireless channels; also can view the
software version.
Description: The date and time displayed on the ultrasound APP are synchronized with the phone.
7.1 Enter the company name
1. In the Setup dialog box, the cursor is in the company name input box, enter the company name;
. Tap the text input box, the onscreen keyboard will automatically open;
3. After the input is complete, click DONE to close the keyboard;
4. Click CANCEL, exit the Setup dialog box;
5. Click SAVE, the company name is displayed on the upper left of the main screen.
7.2 Display the gray ruler
1. In the Setup dialog box, tap the gray ruler switch, open the gray ruler;
. Click CANCEL, exit the Setup dialog box;
3. Click SAVE, the gray ruler appears on the lower right of the image area.
7.3 Set the grid
1. In the Setup dialog box, tap the grid set, select 0, 1 or . “0” shows “no grid”, “1” shows “line
grid”, “ ” shows “dot grid”;
. Click CANCEL, exit the Setup dialog box;
3. Click SAVE, the grid appears on the image area.
7.4 Set goat breeds
1. In the Setup dialog box, slide up and down to select the Goat. The equipment has six goat breeds:
Angora, Finn, Nubian, Pigmy, Suffolk, Toggenburg;
. After selected the goat breed, Click SAVE and exit the Setup dialog box.

7.5 Set wireless channel
1. In the Setup dialog box, slide up and down to select the Wireless;
. Then slide up and down to select the channel, the equipment supports AUTO, Channel1 to
Channel13;
3. Click SAVE and exit the Setup dialog box.
Note:
1. The wireless channel is set to 7 by default. If use multiple devices at the same time, it is
recommended that the number of channels are not adjacent to each other to avoid
interference. For example, when two devices are used in the same place, it is recommended
that one device is set to 1 and the other is 13.
2. Wireless reception range is within 10 meters, no obstacles.

Chapter 8 Functional Operation
8.1 New Patient
1. In real-time state, press key to display New Patient dialog box, as shown below;
. The cursor is in the input box, tap the text input box, the onscreen keyboard will automatically
open;
3. Enter the patient ID (up to 15 digits), name, age (0-159) and weight (1-699);
4. Choose male or female;
5. Click CANCEL, exit the New Patient dialog box;
6. Click SAVE, the patient information saved and displayed on the main screen.
Note: The patient information must be all entered, otherwise you cannot click SAVE.
8.2 Mode selection
8.2.1 B mode
Turn on the equipment or in real-time state, press key to display a single B mode image. Press
freeze key to freeze/unfreeze the image. Press or key to exit B mode.
8.2.2 B|B mode
1. In real-time state, press key to enter B|B mode;
. B|B image switch. Press key to switch image display. The selected image is activated and the
other one is frozen;
3. Press freeze key to freeze/unfreeze the image;
4. Press or key to exit B|B mode.
8.2.3 B|M mode
1. In real-time state, press key to enter M mode, press key again to enter B|M mode;
. Press freeze key to freeze/unfreeze the image;
3. Press or or key to exit B|M mode.
8.2.4 M mode
1. In real-time state, press key to enter M mode;
. Press freeze key to freeze/unfreeze the image;

3. Press or or key to exit M mode.
8.3 Image quality adjustment and image control
Note: When adjusting the total gain, near field gain, far field gain, the "Gain adjustment scroll bar"
will disappear automatically after 5 seconds without adjustment.
8.3.1 Total gain adjustment
In real-time state, press key to appear “Gain adjustment scroll bar” on the left side of the image,
slide up and down to adjust the total gain of the image. Slide up, the total gain increases; slide down, total
gain decreases. Control the total gain to get a satisfactory image. The total gain value is displayed at “G:”
on the right side of the image area.
8.3.2 Near field gain adjustment
In real-time state, press key to appear “Gain adjustment scroll bar” on the left side of the image,
slide up and down to adjust the near field gain of the image. Slide up, the near field gain increases; slide
down, near field gain decreases, so as to control the near field gain. The near field gain value is displayed
at “N:” on the right side of the image area.
8.3.3 Far field gain adjustment
In real-time state, press key to appear “Gain adjustment scroll bar” on the left side of the image,
slide up and down to adjust the far field gain of the image. Slide up, the far field gain increases; slide down,
far field gain decreases, so as to control the far field gain. The far field gain value is displayed at “F:” on
the right side of the image area.
8.3.4 Depth range selection
In real-time state, repeatedly press key to get images in different depth. Each mode has 8 kinds of
depth range. The selected depth value is displayed at “D:” in the lower left corner of the image area.
8.3.5 Frame correlation adjustment
In real-time state, repeatedly press key to realize four kinds of frame correlation, which is divided
into 0, 1, and 3. Frame correlation value is displayed at “FR:” on the right side of the image area.
The frame correlation is by default.
8.3.6 Frequency adjustment (Frequency conversion)
In real-time state, repeatedly press key to convert the frequency. The frequency value is displayed
at “Freq:” on the right side of the image area. W1 frequency conversion is .0/ .5/3.5/5.0; W frequency
conversion is 6.0/6.5/7.5/9.0.
8.3.7 Image Post-process adjustment
In real-time state, repeatedly press key to realize image post-process. Post-process is divided into
0, 1, and 3. The selected post-process value is displayed at “IP:” on the right side of the image area.
The system default post-process is . Number is recommended when normal use.
8.3.8 Image Freeze/Unfreeze
There are three ways to implement:
1. In real-time state, press key to freeze the image; in frozen state, press key to unfreeze the
image.
. Press key on the equipment to freeze or unfreeze the image.

3. Press the call key in the headset to freeze or unfreeze the image.
8.3.9 Full screen display
In real-time state, click icon at the upper left corner, display the full-screen image; then
double-tap the screen, the image will exit full-screen display status.
8.4 Body Mark selection
The system contains 7 body marks. The parts of body marks are divided into 7 categories, as
follows:
1. General . Bovine 3. Canine 4. Equine 5. Feline 6.Cardiac 7. Swine
Operation steps:
1. In the frozen state, press key to display BodyMark dialog box;
. Select the desired body part, the dialog shows the body marks of this part;
3. Select the desired body mark, click OK, this body mark is selected and displayed in the lower right
corner of the image area;
4. Press key to clear the body mark.
8.5 Save image
1. Freeze the current image, press key to display Please Input Memory Name dialog box;
. The cursor is in the input box, tap the text input box, the onscreen keyboard will automatically
open;
3. Enter the file name, Click SAVE, the screen appears “Save Success” prompt;
4. Click CANCEL, exit the Please Input Memory Name dialog box.
Note:
1. Stored png images are saved to your phone or Pad folder.
2. View or delete the path: open Files/ ocal/Internal storage “B-Ultrasound” folder on your
phone or Pad, you can view or delete images.
8.6 One-key storage
Freeze the current image; press and hold key on the W1 or W equipment for a few seconds until
“Save Success” prompt appears; the file name is automatically created according to the current date and
time of this equipment.
Such as: File name: “ 0170619114353.png”
It represents that the diagnostic images at 11:43:53 on June 19, 017.
Note:
1. Stored png images are saved to your phone or Pad folder.
2. View or delete the path: open Files/ ocal/Internal storage “B-Ultrasound” folder on your
phone or Pad, you can view or delete images.
8.7 View images
1. Freeze the current image, press key to display View interface;
. Slide up or down to select the stored image, tap it, the screen displays the selected image;
3. Press the Freeze key to exit image view interface and unfreeze the image.

8.8 Play back and Measurement
Play back
In real-time state, the system is always saving the scanning image. The playback images are for a
period time images before freeze.
Freeze image, press key to enter the automatic playback status, and then press key to return
to manual playback status, press keys to choose the image needed playback. Press key
unfreeze and exit playback status.
Playback measurement
In manual playback status, choose measured image and perform measurement, the detail
measurement method refers to corresponding chapters. Press key again to unfreeze and exit
playback status.
Note: If the images appear abnormal, that is without enough storage time and the images
have not been stored full.
8.9 Notes
1. In the frozen state, press key, this key is highlighted in green;
. Tap the image area where need to be annotated, the cursor “|” appears on the screen and the
onscreen keyboard will automatically open;
3. After entering the annotations, move the cursor position to make multiple notes;
4. If you want to modify the contents during the note, move the cursor “|” to the character need to be
modified, delete the character or re-enter it;
5. Press key again to complete the note entry;
6. Press key to clear the notes;
7. Press key to unfreeze and clear the screen.
8.10 Arrow mark
1. In the frozen state, press key, this key is highlighted in green;
. Tap the image area where need to add the arrow, the arrow icon appears on the screen;
3. Repeatedly tap the arrow icon to change the direction of the arrow; press and hold the
icon until the virtual arrow icon appears on the right of the icon, slide your finger to the
desired location and leave it, the arrow is placed on the desired location; tap the icon , delete the
arrow; tap multiple times can enter more arrow icons;
4. Press key again, the arrow mark is added to the image area;
5. Press key to clear the arrow marks;
6. Press key to unfreeze and clear the screen.
