10.2.3 Lon Works, type 67-00-24 (rev. A1 or higher)
The LON module is used for trnsfer of dt from MULTICAL® 6M2 either for dt reding or for d-
justment purposes vi the LON bus, which is idel for i.e. climte control nd building utomtion.
Dt is communicted t high speed which mkes it possible to connect mny pplictions to
the sme LON network.
Cbling between the LON module nd the other LON-nodes is mde with stndrd twisted pir
cble. The length cn be up to 2700 m using bus topology or 500 m using free topology. The LON
module is built up s seprte network node with neuron chip, memory, trnsceiver nd input/
output circuit. The module requires externl supply (24 VAC /230 VAC) of MULTICAL® 6M2, bttery
supply is not possible.
The LON module collects new dt from MULTICAL® 6M2 in cycle which secures tht ll dt re
updted every 30 seconds.
10.2.4 BACnet®, type 67-00-66 (rev. J1 or higher)
The BACnet® module communictes with BACnet® on MS/TP vi RS-485 s mster/slve or
slve device.
The BACnet® module trnsfers number of both ctul dt nd ccumulted dt. Furthermore,
info codes cn be trnsmitted to the BACnet® Controller. The two pulse inputs llow connection
nd reding of two dditionl meters for e.g. wter nd electricity with pulse output.
10.2.5 Modbus, type 67-00-67 (rev. B1 or higher)
The Modbus bse module for MULTICAL® 6M2 ensures simple integrtion from Kmstrup’s het,
cooling nd wter meters into Modbus bsed system. The Modbus module communictes s
n RTU (Remote Terminl Unit) slve device on RS-485. The Modbus module trnsfers number
of both ctul dt nd ccumulted dt. The RS-485 port of the Modbus module is glvniclly
seprted from the meter’s voltge potentil, thereby improving the security for smooth oper-
tions. At the sme time, the risk of influencing the meter due to influences of the RS-485 port is
reduced to minimum.
