Before using your G906 Phone, read ‘Before you start’ for overview of features, basic setup, and
other important details.
After you become familiarized with its basic functionality, you can use the other manual (Operation
Instruction) as references for detailed features, less common tasks, and for maintaining your G906
Phone.

2. Phone Layout
The following illustration shows the main elements of your phone.
2.1 LCD
The main LCD is TFT Colour LCD and has 260K colours. The sub LCD is CSTN LCD and has 65K
colours. You can be enjoy the more clear LCD colour with your G906 phone
2.2 Camera
You can take a photo with G906’s embedded digital camera. G906 has VGA level camera module,
you can be enjoy highly qualified digital photo with your G906 phone.
2.3 Stereo Dual Speaker
You can enjoy powerful and vivid sound with your K895 Phone. K895 Phone has Stereo Dual Speaker on each side of
it and support 3D 64poly YAMAHA sound.

Shows the received signal strength.
Appears when a call is in progress.
Appears when a call is not in progress.
Appears when alert mode is selected as ring

Appears when an alarm clock is enabled.
Shows the level of battery status. The green area shows charged amount of
battery.

2.5 Keys Description
Key Description
Performs the functions indicated by the text in the left-bottom line
of the display screen. Usually works as ‘selection’
Performs the functions indicated by the text in the right-bottom
line of the display screen. Usually works as ‘backward’
Makes or answers a call. In the idle mode, launches the Dialled
calls list
Ends a call. Also switches the phone on or off when pressed and
held. In the menu, returns to the idle mode or cancels your input.
Clear Key, Usually works as ‘cancel’
~ Enter numbers, letters and some special characters.
Enters international call
‘P’ (Pause) when pressed and held
Enters manner mode.

2.6 Battery

2.6.1 How to attach the battery
1. Align the bottom of the battery down into the holes in the bottom of the phone.
2. Then sit the battery on the back of the aligned until it clicks into place.
2.6.2 How to remove the battery
Turn off your phone first.
1. Press up the battery release latch
2. Slightly lift the battery out of back of phone.
2.6.3 How to charge the battery
1. Plug your charger into the mains socket first.
2. Connect the lead from the charger to the bottom of the phone.

! Note
The phone will automatically check the battery status while the charger connector is installed on the
phone. Once it detects that the battery level
1. Full status, it automatically recharges the battery.
2. Normally the phone completes to charge the battery in one hour.
3. The first charging must be for at least 4 hours in order to achieve optimum performance.
4. You can make calls while charging your phone.
5. Your phone turns off by itself if the battery is able to power no longer sufficiently
6. Do not charge the phone without the battery in place.
2.7 Earphone
If you insert the earphone to the jack on the left side of your phone, you can use it in the same way as
your phone’s earpiece and microphone.
You can answer or end a call by pressing the hook button on the earphone.
When you receive an incoming call while you are in a call, you can answer the waiting call by
pressing the hook button on the earphone. (The first call will be held automatically)
You can make the last number dialed call by pressing the hook button on the idle screen.
The last number dialed is launched by pressing the hook button, and then the call will be made by
pressing the hook button again.

! Note: If the earphone is inserted, your phone’s standby time is reduced. Therefore, please eject the
earphone when not in use.

3. Display Layout
3.1 Main Display Screen

Fixed Icon Area:
6 fixed icons such as RSSI, SMS,Alert Type, Alarm, Roaming, and Battery are displayed indicating
the phone status.
Network Status Area:
Network name registered is displayed.
If there is not any GSM network near your location, No Service is displayed.
If you are in the coverage area of a GSM network but you are not allowed to register to the network,
Emergency is displayed.
User Setting Screen Area:
Digital Clock , Analog Clock , Images or User Text is displayed according to the setting of Screen
Setting menu. Please see Section 9.
If you set to get the broadcast message from the network, you can see it on the idle screen. For details
of how to activate and deactivate it, please see Cell Broadcast menu in A3. In this case, the User
Setting Screen Area updates the received broadcast messages. If you want to go back to default screen,
press [END].
! Note: The broadcast message service may not be available on all networks.
Time & Date Area / Soft Icon Area:
Current time and date is displayed in the Time & Date Area.
When the silence mode is enabled, the indicator will appear in the Soft Icon Area.

4. SIM Card
SIM Card provides several value added services other than Handset does.
These functions will only display and work on the menu of the phone when you SIM card is supported.
This menu may be not shown depending on the SIM card.
The content and the terms of the function lists will depend on your network service provider.
Please contact your network service provider (a network operator or the service provider) in regards
with availability of any services related to the SIM card, application information and the costs.
4.1 How to place the SIM card
Ensure the phone is switched off and the travel charger is detached first before you start the following
steps.
1. Remove the battery.
2. Push the SIM card holder in the direction of the arrow and hold it in this position.
3.Insert a new SIM Card under the two tabs on the right of the phone, ensuring that the cut corner is
right and the gold contact of the card face into the phone.
4. Hold the SIM card down and release the holder to lock it into place.
