orcardboard.Inspecteachpartfordefectsthatmayhaveoccurredduringshipping.

1. Unpack the lampand remove the mounting plate
Carefullyorganizeandplaceallpartsonasmooth,flatsurface.lineupallofthe parts according tothe
installationdiagram.
Removethemountingplate(BB)frombackofthebackplatebyunscrewingthetwofinials(GG).

2. Installingthemounting plate
Position the lampbody(A)onthewallatdesiredlocationandmarktheplaceforthewoodscrews(II)
tobeinstalled.
Drill four6mm (1/4") pilotholes on the markedspots and insert plastic anchors(HH).
(Iffasteningwithwoodscrews(II)tostuds, skipthisstep)
Attachthe mounting plate(BB)totheplasticanchors(HH)orthespotsthatyoumarkedonstuds and
securewithfourwoodscrews(II).

Raisethelampbody(C)towall,aligntheholesinbackplatewiththemountingscrews (DD),andthen
securethebackplatetothewallwithtwofinials (GG).
4. Installing the cord cover
Optional,ifnotusingcordcoversskiptostep5.
Placethecordchannel(KK) onthewallandmarkthe holes.
Drilltwo6mm(1/4")pilotholesonthemarkedspotsandinsertplasticanchors(HH).
(Iffasteningwithwoodscrews(II)tostuds,skipthisstep)
Attachthecordchannel(KK) tothewallandsecurewithtwowoodscrews(II).
Placecordinsidethecordchannel(KK) andpressthetwocordcovers(LL)firmlyoncordchannel(KK)
tosecure.

5.Assemblingshadeand installingthe bulb
Swingtheswingarm,iftheswingarmishardtoswingorhaveabnormalsound,puta dropofWD-40
orsimilarproducton the jointand letitsit overnight. drywitha soft cloth.
Removethesocketring(A)fromthesocketbyunscrewingthesocketring(A).
Placetheshade(B) overthesocketandsecurewiththesocketring (A).
Priortoinstallingthebulb,inspectsocketforsilicapacket.Ifpacketispresent,thenremoveandthrow
away.Donotexposeittochildrenorpets.
Installone120V,60Hz, 100-wattmax.medium-basetypeAbulb(notincluded)intothesocketofthe
lightlamp.
Plugcordintoanoutletandturnonattheswitch.

CAUTION:Ensurethepowerisoffatthe
mainfuse box priortobeginning installation.
Turnoff the switchatthe wall.
Turnthepoweroffatthemainfusebox.
Screwgreengroundscrew(FF)ontomountingplate(BB),donottightenthegreengroundscrew(FF).
Attachthe mounting plate (BB)tothe outletbox and usetwooutletboxscrews(CC)tosecureit.

Thepowercordisthewirethatentersthroughthebottomofthebackplate.
Removethethreewirenutsthatconnecttopowercordbytwistingcounterclockwise.(seediagram)
Removethe"8"shapecordclipandpullpowercordoutthroughbottomofthebackplate.
Removethegrommetandusetheholeplug(JJ)tocovertheholeinbackplate.

3. Connectingthe wires
Install the fixture bare copperwire (1)underthegreengroundscrew(FF)onthemountingplate(BB).
Connectthe fixture bare copperwire (1)tothe green(orbare, orgreen& yellow)supplyground wire (2)
intheoutletboxusingawirenut(AA).
Connectthe white fixture wire (3)tothe white (orribbed)supplywire (4)inthe outletbox using a wire
nut(AA).
Connectthe blackfixture wire (5)tothe black(orred, orblue)supplywire (6)inthe outletbox using a
wire nut(AA).
4. Hanging the lampbody
Raisethelampbody(C)towall,aligntheholesinbackplatewiththemountingscrews (DD),andthen
securethebackplatetothewallwithtwoballfinials (GG).
