Quick Setup Guide
Initial Setup & Operation via Push Buttons and IR
1. Insert HDMI cables into card slots 1 through 8
»Slots 1-4 are labeled Rx, and are Input Card Slots. Slots 5-8 are labeled Tx, and are Output
Card Slots.
2. If integrating your source via KD-BBTX CAT6/STP Transmit Balun(s)
»Set dipswitch # 2 of the KD-BBTX balun to “DDC” in order to establish a proper HDMI
handshake
»Configure the appropriate Input Card Slot to activate its CAT6/STP input. Go to “Input
Port Mode”, then select the appropriate Input with the “Input/Output Channel” button and
use the “Option” button to select “C” for CAT6/STP input configuration. The default input
configuration is “H” for HDMI.
3. If integrating your output via KD-BBRX CAT6/STP Receive Balun(s)
»Both HDMI and CAT6/STP Outputs are active on Output Card Slots, therefore no
configuration is necessary to active the CAT6/STP Output for each Tx Card Slot.
4. Establish an HDMI Handshake for Each Source
»Go to “EDID Control Mode”, then select the appropriate Input with the “Input/Output Channel”
button and use the “Option” button to select the Output Card Slot or CAT6/STP Output
(represented by “.”) that you wish to copy. The Default EDID, “F”, is a 1080i video resolution
with 2 Channel PCM audio.
5. Matrix Switching via Push Buttons
»Go to “Matrix Mode”, then select the appropriate Output Card Slot with the “Input/Output
Channel” button and use the “Option” button to cycle through the Video and Audio Inputs
that you would like to switch to. The first character is the Input Card Slot, the second
character is the Audio of that card slot. “H” is HDMI Audio, “A” is Analog Audio, “D” is
PCM Digital Coaxial Audio, and “C” is Audio from the External Audio ports of the KD-BBTX
CAT6/STP Balun.

4. Establish an HDMI Handshake for Each Source
»Copy EDID to Rx Card xx from Tx Card yy using “SPC EDID xx yy” RS-232 command.
