Environmentalrequirements
GPS signal:In outdoor mode, GPS signals can be elevated due to high buildings or weather conditions, therefore it is
recommended to use open spaces to reduce positioning errors.
Aircraft signals:KIMON uses WIFI direct-connection, therefore, please stay away from areas with high interference such
as power lines, transmission stations or magnetic equipment as this could cause the aircraft to crash or it
may be unable to take off due toWIFI interference.
Flight restricted areas: Do not fly near airports, military restricted zones and other sensitive areas of air traffic control. Any
consequences or the above is the sole responsibility of the user.
Flying locations: Do not fly the aircraft into crowds of people or moving vehicles .
Weather conditions: It is not recommended flying in high temperatures, rain, snow and strong winds above (level 4).
Safety
1. Please make sure to keep a safe distance of 2 meters or more from the aircraft, keep away from the crowds and other
obstacles during flightpreparing.
2. Under outdoor mode, you must check the GPS signal quality before flying; and only when the GPS icon is green,the
aircraft would be unlocked for take-off; otherwise it would be fail to take-off.
3. During the flight, please ensure the aircraft in your view to avoid accidents due to non-distinct flight status.
4. If receive phone call during flying, phone call would take over APP operation in advanced.The aircraft would be kept
hovering until the user switch back to APP during phone call in process.However, in order to ensure flying safe, we
do not recommended to answer the phone during the flight.
5. Note that the default return height is 15 meters, make sure in the return process that there are no obstacles to avoid
GPS positioning error.

To access all operation of KIMON, you must download KIMON from APP library.
APP downloading: For Apple IOS user, please search KIMON from Apple Store; For Android user, please search KIMON
from Huawei store, 360 or Baidu mobile assistant.

Preparing beforeFly
Aircraftarms
KIMON arms can be folded any horizontal direction,
please move the arms in to the middle position before
flying, ensuring that the KIMON four arms anchor point
is in the middle beforeflight.
Smart Battery Installation
Please push battery slightly into the positioning groove
till the back latch automatically fastens.To dismount
battery, please press and hold down the battery latch
as follow instuction, then gently slide the battery out.
Turn on power of Aircraft
Quick press the power key, then press and hold power
button for 2 seconds, the indicators would be turn on
from left to right till all lights keep on, after awhile you
would hear beep, beep, beep three confirmation sound,
it means the battery was powered on.
CompassCalibration
For first time flight, you must apply compass calibration.
Please link aircraft and APP first, then click Compass
Calibration on setting menu and follow instruction of screen.
Bladeinstallation
Note KIMON blade installation instructions. Red blades
are concave point, s.Note KIMON positive and negative
blade installation. Red pits blade corresponds with a
motor pits, pit-free blade without pits corresponding to

APP interfacedescription:
Readyfortake-off
Turn on your mobile, search WIFI for SSID with KIMON hotspot, type in password 1234567890,click Connect.After WIFI
connection successfully, open the APP, enter the mode selection page, ready for takeoff.
Modeselection
Outdoormode:
Pattern Description:in this mode, turn off the optical stream, enable GPS and GLONASS satellite positioning, height fixing
was controlled by ultrasonic under three meters, and height fixing was controlled by tonometer once over three meters.
All of intelligent selfie modes and auto-return home modes are available, flight would be more stable under better GPS
signals, also intelligent selfie molds would be operated in better way.
Application Scenario:outdoorenvironment.
IndoorMode:
Pattern Description:In this mode, GPS positioning would be turned off, enabling light stream position and ultrasonic
height setting.Due to complicated indoor environment, to ensure safety we limit the maximum flight speed of 0.5 meters
per second, the maximum height of 2.4 meters, all smart selfie and auto-return home mode would be disable and only
allow orginal location landing.
Application Scenario:indoor or outdoor environment cannot fly if the GPS signal is bad.Under this mode, the ground must
have clear grain direction with full of lighting (above 15lux, indoor fluorescent work normally).

Landing/Return
Landing/ Return button, click on it to reach one-key return and one-key landing, you could choose to get landing/return mode.
Setup
Joystick:Click to the United States or the Japan hand switch.
Control mode: Click to virtual joystick and volume control switch.
Camera settings: click to set camera parameters.
Sensitivity: sensitivity setting click to indoor mode cannot be set.
Magnetic compass calibration: click to open the magnetic compass calibration

Note: outdoor and indoor mode was not allowed to be switched directly, aircraft need landing before switch mode, then
choose flying mode depends on differentenvironment.
Flying OperationInstruction
Aircraft was connecting via WI-FI on APP, the user could choose flying mode depends on different environment.

Outdoormode
Takeoff
When GPS signal show in green, click the START button, sliding up to activate take-off button, the aircraft idle for one second
at same location then stop, then it automatic takeoff to reach 3meter height (due to the influence of the ground influence, there
will be some offset).If you are prompted unsuccessful, then the current GPS signal does not reach the flight requirements.
FlightOperations
User could choose virtual joystick or somatosensory operations.The joystick can be hidden by press ▲.And you could
set max flying speed from menu via Setting –Sensitivity, there are three options include Beginner (1m/s), Standard
(2m/s), Advance(3m/s).
Virtual joystick operation:is in the settings menu, select Japan or United States operations setup.
SomatosensoryOperation
Click HOLD and keep pressing, cell phone inclines certain angle to control flying direction of KIMON same as cell phone’s angle.
Reminder: please ensure cell phone keep in secure position when touch screen of cell phone, it might cause damage of
aircraft if cell phone was kept in secure position.
Intelligent selfie mode selection.
Ordinary Selfie: front & back, left & right direction was aligned as first angle of aircraft, it is available free to control
aircraft by somatosensory or joystickmethod.
45 Degree Beauty Selfie: aircraft head in front to 45 degrees oblique back side stretched to 15 meters, and then return to hover.

Following Selfie: Aircraft head aligned and kept following manipulators for shooting during flying, notice: following result
depends on phone GPSaccuracy.
Regular Selfie: aircraft would adjust its head automatically when choose different flying mode, aircraft head would be
kept alignment manipulators to shoot picture orvideo.
Panoramic Video: aircraft in situ revolution full circle for take video.
360 degree around selfie: aircraft would set current hover position as flying center of circle, plus user could set radius of
circle and its head aligned center to fly 360 degree around to shoot.
Above mode, click HOVER button to terminate the selfie mode is automatically returned to the ordinary selfie, the aircraft
ishovering.
Landing
Returning Landing: Click the return to land menu. Slide the finger to the right and the aircraft will automatically return to
the landing point, if the is a GPS positioning, error. The aircraft will land within 3 meters or the take-offpoint.
Landing place: Click the drop menu, slide your finger to the right, the aircraft will automatically land.
IncontrollableProtection
Once aircraft disconnect with APP of cell phone APP, the aircraft would be incontrollable, then it would suspend for 30
seconds; if it still not response to get connection, then aircraft would activate return and landing.
Low-powerReturn
Once battery power battery was lower than 25%, the aircraft would activate low-power protection application automatically,
meanwhile the user could manual terminate auto-return landing process, but it might cause risk due to low-power issue.
Low-powerLanding
Once battery power battery was lower than 15%, the aircraft would force-activate low-power landing function on origin
location, atthis moment the user could not manual terminate auto-return landing process.
FlightIndicatorDisplay
The left indicator of back arm is in red, the right indicator of back arm is in green.
Aircraft doesn’t pass self-inspection of electric circuit: red light and green light fast-flash together.
Aircraft pass self-inspection ofelectric circuit: red light and green light constant bright.
Aircraft fly normally:red light and green light slow-flash together.
Aircraft fulfilled all the conditions for landing&flying normally:red light and green light constant bright.
Aircraft return and landing: red light and green light supersedeslow-flash.
Aircraft out ofcontrol:red light fast-flash and green light constant bright.
Aircraft low-power warning grade I: red light constant bright and green light slow-flash.
Aircraft low-power warning grade II:red light constant bright and green light fast-flash.
Horizontal calibration ofaircraft compass:red light constant bright.
Vertical calibration of aircraft compass:green light constantbright.

Indoormode
Takeoff
Click the START button, slow-sliding up to activate take-off button, the aircraft idle for one second at same location then stop,
then it automatic takeoff to reach 1.5 meter height (due to the influence of the ground influence, there will be some offset).
FlightOperations
The indoor mode flying operation is same as outdoor mode but the flight speed would be limited 0.5m/s.
Landing
Click take-off/ return button to activate one-key landing, slide to right side to confirm action then aircraft will land at same
location.
IncontrollableProtection
Once aircraft disconnect with APP of cell phone APP, the aircraft would be incontrollable, then it would suspend for 30
seconds; if it still not response to get connection, then aircraft would activate return and landing.
Lowbattery return
If the power display is less than 15%, the aircraft will return, the user can terminate this action.
Lowbattery Landing
When battery power is less than 25%, the alarm of APP prompts to suggest user to apply landing; once battery power
level was lower than 15%, the aircraft would force-activate low-power landing function on origin location.
Flight IndicatorDisplay
For flight indicator display of indoor mode is same as outdoor mode.
