Safety First!
General Warning: Scootering can be a hazardous
activity. Scooters can and are intended to move,
and as such it is possible to get into dangerous
situations and/or lose control and/or fall. If such
things occur you can be seriously injured or
die. LIKE ANY OTHER MOVING PRODUCT,
SCOOTERING CAN BE A DANGEROUS
ACTIVITY AND MAY RESULT IN INJURY
OR DEATH EVEN WHEN PROPER SAFETY
PRECAUTIONS ARE FOLLOWED. USE
COMMON SENSE, AND AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Safety Warnings and Rules
1. Always wear a bicycle helmet.
2. Follow all trafc laws including lights, signs
and signals.
3. Before your rst ride, complete the
adjustments described on page ve.
4. Ride on smooth surfaces away from motor
vehicles.
5. Use the bell to alert others of your presence
when passing cyclists, pedestrians and parked
cars.
6. Always wear shoes that will stay on your feet
when kicking. Do not scoot barefoot or with
open sandals.
7. Use reectors and lights (a white light in front
and a red in back) so you can be better seen
when riding at night or in limited visibility.

Before You Ride
Now that you’ve become familiar with all of the
safety rules for the miniZüm, it’s time to take it out
of the box and get familiar with your new machine.
Once you’ve removed the miniZüm from its
packaging, check to make sure there are no loose
parts still in the box. Give the scooter a once-over
to make sure there are no scratches or dents that
may have occurred during shipping.
The miniZüm was partially assembled and carefully
packed at the factory. There should not be any
problems, even if the box shows some dents,
scratches or other wear and tear.
Now that you’ve got your Züm out of the box, take
a moment to locate the serial number located on
the bottom front side of the headtube. Write the
number down and keep it for your records.
Now it’s time to make the nal adjustments to the
miniZüm before you take your rst ride.
8. Avoid soft patches of dirt or loose gravel while
riding. Scooter may lose traction and cause
rider to fall.
9. Avoid riding on wet surfaces, weather impairs
traction, braking and visibility.
10. Avoid excessive speed associated with
downhill rides.
11. Always be sure to check tires for excessive
wear or damage before scootering.
12. Tire pressure should be 43 psi. Do not exceed
nor under inate the tire.
13. Do not exceed 375 lbs (170 kg) under normal
riding conditions.
14. A parent’s decision to allow his or her child
to ride this product should be based on the
child’s maturity, skill and ability to follow rules.
15. Do not ride at night.
The miniZüm is a fun and reliable form of
transportation. When you take your rst ride, you
will notice that standing up while you are scooting
around gives you an unparalleled sense of
freedom and several unique advantages, including
improved visibility and maneuverability. And since
you’ll be head and shoulders above the crowd,
others will nd it much easier to see you.

The Pre-Ride Inspection
It’s a good idea to give your miniZüm a quick once-
over every time before heading out, to make sure
all the parts are in working order.
✔Are the wheels secure? Check that the quick-
release handles are tight against the body of
the miniZüm, and that the axle nuts are tight.
✔How is the tire pressure? Be sure there is
adequate pressure (43 PSI) and no punctures
or bald spots on the tires.
✔Are the wheels straight? Spin each wheel
to make sure it does not wobble. Also check
to make sure that the tire is centered in the
scooter frame and fork.
✔Are the brakes working properly? Make sure
the front and rear brakes properly engage the
rim with the brake pads. Ensure that when the
brake levers are squeezed, the levers do not
touch the handlebars (you should be able to t
two ngers between the engaged brake lever
and the handlebar).
✔Are the handlebars, grips and handlebar stem
attached tightly and properly?
✔How is the battery? Make sure the battery
is properly attached and securely locked in
place. Press the LED button on the battery to
check the power levels and charge if needed.
By performing regular check-ups on your miniZüm
you will make sure it remains in good working
order. Regular maintenance and tune ups are also
recommended.
Final Adjustments and Preparations
When you took your miniZüm out of the box, you
probably noticed that it looked like it was ready to
go. There are just a couple of adjustments to make
before heading out so it’s customized perfectly to
your needs.
Final Adjustments:
1. Place the miniZüm on the ground, resting on
the side kickstand
2. Unfold the handlebar/folding stem, put it in the
upright position and tighten the folding stem
lever into position.
3. Engage the safety latch on the folding stem
lever as shown in Fig. 3. It must be secure.
Fig. 3
4. Height adjustment: slide the handle bar height
up or down to a comfortable level by opening
the clamp, Adjust the height while making
sure to remain within the stem lock safe line
minimum position shown in Fig 4.
5. Inate the tires to 43 PSI.
6. Before your rst ride, you must test the brakes.
Adjust if needed.

Get Riding!
We’ve provided you with some laws and safety
rules, but please become familiar with the electric
bicycle laws in your region before heading out.
Before your rst ride, we recommend that you
charge the battery. It comes fully charged from
the factory, but it needs a topper-upper before you
head out for the rst time. Once it’s charged:
1. Turn the battery on by ipping the switch
located at the bottom of the battery. Press the
circular button in the middle of the LED lights
to check on the battery’s power level.
2. Press the red button on the thumb throttle. The
three lights (red, yellow and green) should come
on. This also indicates the remaining power.
You can ride the miniZüm with or without the
assistance of the battery. Using the miniZüm
as a traditional kick scooter is a great workout.
Or choose to engage the battery for every ride.
Remember, the more you kick the longer the
battery will last. In ideal conditions (at terrain with
no head wind and a rider who weighs less than
170 lbs.), a fully charged battery will last for 20
miles (32 km) with a maximum speed of 20 mph
(32 kmh). The battery will last longer if you follow
the tips previously mentioned.
That’s it! You’re ready to ride, so get out there and
have fun! First, make sure you read the rest of the
information in this manual so you can maintain
your miniZüm in perfect shape.
Good Riding Techniques
Before you head out on the road, it’s a good
idea to do a test drive with your miniZüm on a
at, trafc-free area. First get used to kicking the
scooter and then pushing the thumb throttle to
accelerate with the assistance of the battery. You’ll
feel like an expert after about ve minutes. Here
are some tips and rules to get you riding like a pro:
1. Preserve the battery by kicking to get started.
Try not to engage the battery from a full stop.
2. Do not ride over curbs. When arriving at a
curb, slow down, get off the miniZüm and walk
the miniZüm over it.
3. When braking, gently squeeze both front and
rear brake handle levers simultaneously.
4. Use your brakes carefully, keeping a safe distance
between you and other objects or vehicles.
5. Do not jump off the miniZüm before it has fully
stopped.
6. If you need to stop suddenly, bend your knees
and shift your body weight backwards. Keep
your arms straight.
7. When you’re in full Züm mode, stand with both
feet side by side on the platform in an upright
and relaxed position.
8. Ride defensively, always watch the road, your
surroundings and others around you.
9. Always ride with the trafc in bike lanes or on
the right side of the road close to the curb.
10. Do not stand on the miniZüm while the
kickstand is engaged.
11. No passengers, stunts or hitching rides.

12 13
8. Do not place the battery or charger over a radiator
or any heated or pressurized area.
9. Keep away from children.
10. If the battery or charger is defective, please return
it for repair immediately. Do not open the casing of
the battery or adaptor in order to avoid hazard and
damaging the parts inside. The warranty will be
voided if either the battery or charger is opened.
11. Do not use chemicals to clean the casing of the
battery pack and the adaptor. Use a soft cloth. Do
not immerse in water.
12. Do not short-circuit the charging terminal or
discharging terminal of the pack.
Using the Charger
13. Connect the DC jack to the battery pack and then
plug the charger into an AC wall outlet. The power
indicator will glow red while charging and turn
green when charging is complete.
14. Use the charger for only the battery provided with
the MiniZüm.
15. The operating temperature for this adaptor is 32°
to 110°F (0° to 45°C).
16. Avoid using in humid or wet locations. Do not
allow water to go inside the charger.
17. It will take ve hours to fully charge the battery.
Warning!!
• Do not short-circuit the positive and negative
terminals of the adaptor. This will seriously
damage the adaptor and could be hazardous.
• The adaptor will heat up while charging. Do not place
anything on top of the adaptor while it is plugged in.
Do not place ammable substances within 30 cm (12
inches) from the adaptor while charging.
About the Battery
The miniZüm comes equipped with a removable and
rechargeable lithium ion battery (36V/ 8.8Ah). You can
charge the battery when it is attached to the scooter,
or by unlocking and removing it. There are two keys
provided for the battery pack lock. You will notice an ID
code attached to the key, please record that code and
keep it in a safe place. If you lose your keys, we are
able to order a spare one using this ID code.
Charge your battery fully before your rst ride. It is not
necessary to completely deplete the battery before
charging it, you can even charge it after every ride.
If you will not be using your miniZüm for prolonged
periods, please remove the battery and charge it at
least once every two months. Immediately recharge
the battery if it has been completely discharged.
General Rules of Battery Use
1. Do not use or store in extreme temperatures of
less than 14°F (-10°C) or more than 104°F (40°C).
2. If storing your miniZüm outside, remove battery to
avoid exposing it to sun and rain for long periods.
3. Store the battery in a dry and ventilated area.
4. The LED indicator on the battery gives the best
indication of the amount of power left. The battery
will automatically turn off when drained.
5. If the battery begins overheating, leaking,
smoking, smelling foul or warping, stop using the
battery immediately, remove it from the miniZüm
and place it in an open area.
6. Only use the battery with the miniZüm.
7. Only charge with the supplied charger.
