Section I - ASSEMBLY
Step 1: Un-packing your KidRunner
•Lay out the parts and familiarize yourself with your KidRunner.
When you open your carton, you’ll see your KidRunner and all of
its parts nested and zip tied in the cockpit and the composite
parts secured below the cockpit on a cardboard sheet.
•NOTE: Preserve as much of the packaging material as possible in
case you want to return your KidRunner within the first week of
delivery. We can only give 100% refunds for KidRunners that are
re-packed in the same way that you received it and that are not
damaged because of poor return packaging.

Step 3: Attaching the Fork Plate to the Forks
The FORK PLATE connects the two sides of the
FORKS together and allows your BOW to easily
telescope in/out depending on runner height,
comfort and performance.
•More on BOW adjustments in the HOW TO
VIDEO
This step requires a few minutes of attention and
patience so slow down, take a deep breath and
when your finished, there is an optional, bonus
step…

Tricks of the Trade: Getting
the spacer washer to align
properly between the BOW
and the FORK PLATE is the
trickiest and most
potentially frustrating few
minutes of your assembly.
That’s why there is a bonus
step is coming. But before
that, we can provide the
following tricks of the trade
–
Take a credit card or any
thin/firm material, align the
washer on the edge of the
FORK PLATE and push/align
the spacer over the hole.
When aligned, thread the
bolt with washer into the
hole and hand tighten.
Repeat for each FORK PLATE
hole.

Step 3: Attaching the Fork Plate to the Forks
Attach the four FORK PLATE screw in the following,
“stack” ref spacing washer and spacing nut washer.

Step 3: Attaching the Fork Plate to the Forks
▪Slide the BOW to the top of the FORK PLATE
WINDOW and tighten the quick release.
✓We recommend this first BOW setting for
most runners unless > 6.5’ tall or < 5’.
•Taller Runners = Extend the BOW
•Shorter Runners = Shorten the BOW

Step 5 –Attaching The Waist Harness:
•Remove the WAIST HARNESS PIN, align the WAIST HARNESS BRIDAL over the REED BEARING and insert the PIN. We
recommend leaving the WAIST HARNESS attached to your BOW/KidRunner unless inspired by fashion to wear it
separately…

Section II –COMFORT, PERFORMANCE AND SAFETY
Now that your KidRunner is assembled, it’s time to adjust each component for COMFORT,
PERFORMANCE and SAFETY.
GEEK SPEAK:
✓The patented innovation that enables high performance, comfortable, hands and arms free running with kids
is driven by a combination of weight/balance and Harmonic Dampening. Combined, they insulate the motion
of your running from the COCKPIT and your WAIST HARNES creating a smooth, comfortable ride. The next
few steps outline how to adjust the best weight/balance of your KidRunner relative to the size/weight of your
kid and your height. When tuned correctly, KidRunner feels like it’s, “floating” behind you but be prepared to
take a few runs and keep adjusting until you find the, “Sweet Spot”…

Section II –COMFORT, PERFORMANCE
AND SAFETY
Adjusting Cockpit Weight and Balance –
✓The most important element of KidRunner
performance and comfort is COCKPIT PITCH
ANGLE. It allows for the COCKPIT to rotate
back/forth around the wheel hubs so that you
can find the perfect weight/balance for your size
and weight of kid.
✓To allow the COCKPIT to pitch back/forth, the
COCKPIT rotates around the COCKPIT FORK
PUCKS on each side of the COCKPIT. Lift the
COCKPIT quick release handle on both sides to
rotate the COCKPIT. Depress the quick release
handle on both sides to, “lock” the COCKPIT pitch
angle in place.

Section II –COMFORT, PERFORMANCE
AND SAFETY
Adjusting Cockpit Weight and Balance
1. The right side of your COCKPIT includes a
reflective SCALE that indicates which
direction to adjust your COCKPIT for the
best Weight/Balance
2. Loosen the each side of the FORK PUCKS
and pitch the COCKPIT back/forth until the
FORK is + / - aligned to the, “NEUTRAL”
position on the COCKPIT SCALE
3. Depress the FORK PUCK handles to lock
the COCKPIT in, “NEUTRAL” to get started
