IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
The following basic safety precautions should be exercised when using this product:
• Read and save all Instructions.
• Do not use with non-heatproof vessels and exercise particular caution with metal mugs which can overheat and cause
damage to the unit or personal injury.
• Do not touch the heating plate when the unit is on and/or for at least 10 minutes after shutoff.
• Do not operate the unit with a dry/empty vessel.
• Do not obstruct the heating vents on the underside of the unit. Do not remove the non-slip foot pads.
• Always maintain close supervision when unit is used by or near children.
• Unplug power supply from the wall when not in use and before cleaning.
• Clean the power cord and main body with a clean, lightly dampened or dry cloth. Do not immerse in water or other liquid
to protect against fire, electric shock and personal injury.
• Do not operate the unit with any damage to the cord, plug, body, or heating plate, or after any malfunctions.
• Do not attempt to open or service the unit as this may cause personal injury and voids all warranties. If you experience
problems with the device, discontinue use and contact KIN for assistance.
• If any of the instructions provided are not followed, or the equipment is used in a manner not specified by the
manufacturer, protections provided by the unit for fire, electric shock or personal injury may be impaired.
• This product is intended to warm consumable liquids like water, coffee & tea, or for candles in heatproof containers only.
• Take extra care when using auto on/off by only placing heatproof items on the unit you want warmed and by keeping the
area around the unit clear at all times of any items that may fall onto the unit, causing it turn it on unintentionally.

Read Before Use
Please plug the unit into a power outlet then
place your mug onto the heating plate before
attempting to turn it on.
For the utmost safety, the Element Mug Warmer
will only turn on when the weight-sensing
switch is activated. It will remain OFF if there is
insufficient weight on the heating plate.
IMPORTANT

•For peak beverage temperature, use the included heat-trapping lid to block the main source of heat loss from any mug.
•For optimal performance use thin-walled ceramic or glass mugs with flat bottoms. Do NOT use footed, thick-bottomed,
or double-insulated mugs, or mugs with more concave bottoms as their design prevents an efficient transfer of heat.
USER GUIDE & TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
1. Remove protective film from the heating plate and
plug unit into wall outlet.
2. Place mug onto your Element Mug Warmer to activate
the gravity switch on the underside of the warmer.
(For safety, the unit will only turn on when the switch
detects sufficient weight on the heating plate.)
3. Tap the button once to turn Element on. It will default
to the highest heat setting, indicated by a red light.
4. Continue tapping the button to toggle between the
three heat settings as desired:
Red = High | Purple = Medium | Blue = Low
5. To shut off Element, tap the button until the light is
off. The warmer will remain off until it is manually
powered on again.
MANUAL ON/OFF AUTO ON/OFF
AUTO-OFF: Element will automatically turn off after 8
hours of continuous use, or 5 minutes after the gravity
switch is deactivated. When Element detects you have
removed your mug, the light will blink red until the mug
is replaced, or after 5 minutes—at which point the unit
will automatically shut down.
AUTO-ON: Anytime you remove your mug, Element will
go into standby and begin a 5-minute auto shut off
timer. If you return your mug to the heating plate, and
reactivate the gravity switch within this 5 minute
window, Element will automatically turn back on to it’s
last used heat setting, and begin a new 8-hour auto
shutoff cycle.

This heat-trapping lid is specially designed to create a
gentle seal that helps keep your drink, delightfully hot
—preventing precious heat from escaping. Thoughtfully
made from BPA-free, food-grade silicone so it’s
dishwasher safe & far more ocean-friendly than plastic.
To use, place over your mug and lightly press in the
center to seal. Peel up from one edge to remove, and
enjoy perfectly piping sips down to the last drop.
Flavor purist? Wash & dry after each use so your
carefully-crafted cuppa always tastes five-star fresh.

TROUBLESHOOTING
UNIT WON’T TURN ON | For safety, Element will not turn on if the gravity switch is not activated. Check to make sure
the unit is plugged in, placed on a flat, level surface, and ensure that there is sufficient weight on the heating plate to
activate the switch. You should hear a faint ‘click’ each time the switch activates/deactivates. In rare instances, brand
new switches may be a bit stiff and will improve over time as it “breaks-in” with repeated use. In these cases, you may
turn over the unit and gently press the switch several times to expedite this process.
BURNING SMELL WHILE IN USE | Element should never emit a burning smell on its own. Immediately turn off and
unplug the unit and check to make sure that the heating vents are unobstructed and/or that a heat-sensitive item (e.g.
plastic, etc.) has not been placed on the heating plate. If the unit itself emits a burning smell while using, discontinue
use, and contact us for a free warranty replacement.
BUTTON DOES NOT RESPOND WHEN PRESSED | The button on Element is not pressure-activated, and instead uses
capacitive touch technology, responding only to the conductive touch of human skin, or capacitive-touch devices such
as the stylus for a tablet or smart phone.
