•T e REX regulator is simple to maintain, like any
type of life support equipment, it requires regular
periodic maintenance to function properly
•All parts disassembled s ould be t oroug ly
cleaned
•Components t at require t e use of lubricants,
sealing and t read locking compounds s ould
also be serviced

Disassembly for Cleaning
•Remove tie wraps from w isker wings
•Remove w isker valve assembly from eac side of
ex aust body, inspect
•During regular cleaning and inspection, t e w isker
valves do not need to be removed from plastic
ex aust valve seats
•Remove regulator cover ring, cover, was er, and
diap ragm

wit t e silicone valve still
installed
•Clean and inspect valve
assemblies
•Silicone valves s ould be smoot
and flat, w en lifted away from
seat, it s ould snap firmly into
place
•T e seats s ould be smoot and
straig t

Set-up/Adjustment
•Screw t e regulator adjustment knob in clockwise
all t e way, t en rotate it out counter clockwise
t ree turns
•Slowly rotate t e inlet nipple in clockwise until a
slig t movement is noticed at t e roller lever
t en stop
•Lig tly tig ten t e jam nut to prevent movement
of t e nipple tube

Set-up/Adjustment
•Install diap ragm, t rust was er, flexible cover
and cover ring to t e regulator assembly using
t e special spanner wrenc

Set-up/Adjustment
•Adjustment of t e demand regulator s ould be done
using a supply pressure of between 135-140 p.s.i.g.
•Re-c eck adjustment knob position by completely
turning it in, t en backing it out 3 full turns
•Attac a air source to eit er umbilical adapter at t e
one way valve, or EGS valve
•Slowly pressurize elmet, t en open t e supply fully

Set-up/Adjustment
•T e cover s ould travel inward 1/4 - 5/16 of an inc
before gas flow is eard
•Once desired travel is ac ieved, tig ten lock nut against
regulator body using two 13/16” wrenc es
•Make certain bent tube fitting is snug against t e ex
on nipple tube by again using two 13/16” wrenc es
•Re-c eck purge adjustment, re-adjust if needed

Low pressure air source must
be adjustable over a range
from 135-140 p.s.i.
With the air supply connected,
turn the adjustment knob all
the way out and back in 3
turns
