Safety Instructions

The lint trap has to be cleaned frequently.

acetone, alcohol, petrol, kerosene, spot removers, turpentine,
waxes and wax removers should be washed in hot water with a

•Items such as foam rubber (latex foam), shower caps,
waterproof textiles, rubber backed articles and clothes or
pillowsfittedwithfoamrubberpadsshouldnotbedried
in the tumble dryer.
•
Fabric softeners, or similar products, should be used as
specified by the fabric softener instructions.
Warning!
Never stop a tumble dryer before the end of the drying
cycle unless all items are quickly removed and spread
out so that the heat is dissipated.
•The exhaust air must not be discharged into a flue which
is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas
or other fuels.
•
The appliance must not be installed behind a lockable door,
a sliding door or a door with a hinge on the opposite side
tothat ofthe tumble dryer,in sucha way that a full opening
of the tumble dryer door is restricted.
•Oil-affecteditemscanignitespontaneously,especially
whenexposedtoheatsourcessuchasin atumbledryer.
The items become warm, causing an oxidation reaction in
the oil. Oxidation creates heat. If the heat cannot escape,
the items can become hot enough to catch fire. Piling,
stacking or storing oil-affected items can prevent heat
from escaping and so create a fire hazard.
•
The appliance should not be overturned during normal
use or maintenance.
•
Remove all objects from pockets such as lighters and
matches.

Ventilation openings in the base must not be obstructed by
carpets or other floor coverings.
•Plug must be accessible after installation.

Grounding
!
Warning!
The socket and the grounding wire must be installed by an electrician to prevent
incorrect installation or use of the socket and to guarantee the safe use of
electricity. There must be NO connection of the grounding wire and the neutral wire,
otherwise the
cabinet will be charged, causing the danger of electric shock.
Power Supply and Grounding
• The dryer employs alternating current with the rated voltage and frequency.
When the voltage fluctuates up to 6% of rated voltage, the dryer can work normally.
• A special power socket with a capacity≥10A for the dryer should be close to the dryer
for convenience and safety. The method of connection of the socket is as the figure on
the right.
• To ensure safe operation, please make
improvements as soon as possible according to
the directions above.
•The appliance corresponds to P rotection C lass I and may only be connected to a plug
witha protectiveconductor that has been installed properly.When connecting the
appliancetothe mains,make sure thatthemainsvoltageiscorrect.You canfindmore
information about this on the ratingplate.
•The electrical safety of this tumble dryer can only be guaranteed when correctly
earthed.Itisessentialthatthisstandardsafetyrequirementismet.Ifinanydoubt,
please have the household wiring system tested by a qualified electrician.

Installorstore the dryer whereit willnot

to water or weather,
which could cause permanent damage
and invalidate the warranty.
Keep area around the exhaust opening and
adjacentsurrounding areasfreefromthe
accumulation of lint, dust and dirt. An
obstructedportmightreducetheairflow.
Thoroughly spin the laundry inwashing
machine before drying. High spin speed
can reduce the
drying time and save
energy.
Make sure combustible sprays will not beclose
to the dryer when it is working. If gas leaks
nearby, do not touch plug or start/pause the
dryer.
Do not wash or dry articles that have been
cleaned in, washed in, soaked in or spotted
with combustible or explosive substances
(such as wax, oil, paint, gasoline,
degreasers, dry-cleaning solvents, kerosene,
etc.).

disassembled, or has missing or broken

The door shall be opened only after the
program of the drying machine is
completed. Do not open the door before
the
program is finished to avoid human

overheated dryer.

Ifthedryer isnotplacedhorizontally(ie. the lean angle is no morethan2°),the
dryermaybecome unbalanced or not work properly.
Notice when installing:
•
Do not install the dryer in the open air or a place where it can be damaged
easily byrain;
•
Donotplacethebackofdryernearcurtainorsomething moved by wind;
•
Do not place the dryer near gas or flammablematerials.
•
When installing the clothes dryer by attaching to a wall please follow the
directions in the Wall Hanging Installation Instructions on page 10 of the
user manual.
•
Before making preparations for or commencing installation, the installer
should refer to the current online version of the User Manual, which is
available on the Kleenmaid website (see back cover for details).
•Installation Position
Dryer should be placed in a ventilated area with not less
than 10cm distance from the wall. It is suggested there
are no obstacles within 1.5m in front of the dryer to
assure ventilation.
•Level Adjusting
Once in its permanent operating position, check that they
dryer is absolutely level with the aid of a spirit level. If it is
not, adjust the feet with a tool.

Before each Drying Load
1.
Before drying, thoroughly spin the laundry in a washing machine. High spin speed can
reduce the drying time and save energy consumption.
2.
For uniform drying r esult, sort the laundry according to fabric type and drying program.
3.
Before drying, please close zips, hooks and eyelets, do up buttons, tie fabric belts, etc.
4.
Do not over dry the clothes, because over dried clothes can easily get creases.
5.
Do not dry articles containing rubber or similar elastic materials.
6.
The door should be opened only after the dryer program is completed.
Do not open
the door before the program is finished to avoid skin being
scalded by hot steam or an
overheated dryer.
7.
Clean the lint filter after each use to avoid extension of drying time and higher energy
consumption.
8.
Do not dry clothes that have been dry cleaned.

WARNING!

Disconnect the power cord before cleaning!
•
Clean the dryer with a wet cloth which is
only dampened by clean water.

Do not pour water directly over the machine.
•
Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, glass
cleaners or all-purpose cleaners. These could
damage plastic surfaces and other parts.
•
Before starting the dryer,dry all parts with a softcloth.

Safety reset
1.
This dryer has a safety cut out switch which is activated by temperature.
2.
Ifyourdryerisnotheatingthisbuttonmustbereset,beforethedryercanheatagain.
You may need to wait 10 minutes for cooling down.
The safety reset button is on the backboard of the dryer. See image below.
3.
Themostcommon reasonforthedryer tooverheatis ablockedfilter.
4. Clean the lint filter after each cycle to prevent overheating of the dryer.
The safety cut out switch may operate for the following reasons:
1.
Lint filter is blocked.
2.
Exhaust outlets blocked at the back of the dryer.
3.
The room is poorly ventilated. Open the windows or the door.
4.
Lightweight garment eg. handkerchief, sucked over thefilter.

when damp, then hang the clothes until
fully dry.
Pilling on
clothes
•
Laundry is sensitive for
rubbing.
•
Usefabricsoftener tolubricatefibres,
pleasespray laundrystarchoncuffand
neckline when ironing clothes.Turn the
laundry inside out to avoidpilling
Heavy wet clothes turning and bumping will cause noise accordingly while to dryer runs.
Duringthedryingcycle,themachinewillcreateairflow,whichwillcausenoisewhenhitting
the drum.

The rated capacity is the maximum capacity.Make sure that the clothes which are loaded to the
appliance do not exceed the rated capacity any time.

Do not install the tumble dryer in a room where the temperature is around freezing point,or there is a
risk of frost occurring, as the tumble dryer may not be able to operate efficiently.
