I. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the KNH-500 Active noise-cancelling headphones with
wireless technology. We encourage you to read this quick installation guide
thoroughly to get the most of these advanced wireless headphones.

4. USB charging port:
Insert the micro-USB plug here to recharge the battery.
5. Noise cancelling on/off button:
When the ANC feature is switched on, the indicator light glows green, so you
can enjoy noise-free audio. Turn off the ANC function when not needed to
extend battery life.
6. Bluetooth®connection LED indicator light
• Alternating blue and red LED indicates that the headphones have entered into
the pairing mode.
• The LED turns solid blue when the wireless connection has been established
or during a call.
• The blue LED blinks once every 4 seconds while streaming music via Bluetooth®.
• The LED lights up red while charging.
7. 3.5mm input jack:
Use this port located in the right ear cup for wired playback. When the supplied
auxiliary cable is connected, the Bluetooth®modes is disabled automatically. You
must turn on the unit again after removing the stereo cable from the headphones.
8. Built-in microphone:
For hands-free calling and conferencing.
9. Previous track/Volume down:
Briefly press this button to decrease the volume level. Press and hold to play
the previous track.
10. Next track/Volume up:
Briefly press this button to increase the volume level (when the maximum level
is reached, the headphones will generate a short beep). Press and hold to play
the next track.

Press and hold this button for three seconds to switch the
unit on and for five seconds to turn it off.
A tone will be heard to confirm the device is turned on
Once powered on, the device will enter into the pairing
mode. The battery percentage prompt followed by a beep
will be heard to confirm the headphones are ready to pair
with a compatible wireless device. To put back in pairing
mode, hold the button for 3 seconds
Briefly press to answer and end an incoming call
Press twice to redial the last number called (on supported
devices)
Press and hold to reject or ignore an incoming call
Briefly press to play and pause media

• The prompt will be heard at about 5-minute intervals when the battery charge
is at 20%.
• The prompt will warn “Battery 10%, please charge” once, and then the device
automatically shuts off.
IV. Advanced operation
Note:
Before installing this product, please make sure your computer or laptop is
Bluetooth®compatible.
Pairing the headphones with your mobile device
1. Press and hold the power switch on the headphones to turn on the device.
2. Next, set your Bluetooth®mobile device to “discover” the wireless headphones.
3. Place the headphones and your phone not more than one meter away from
each other.
4. The LED blinks alternatively red and blue to indicate that the headphone has
entered into the pairing mode and that it is ready to be detectable for the
first time.
5. On your mobile phone, tap the newly discovered audio device (KNH-500)
being displayed in the Bluetooth®list.
6. When the mobile device asks if you want to pair with it, click Yes or OK
to accept.
7. If you have a lower Bluetooth®version, you may be prompted to enter the
passkey 0000 (4 zeros).
III. Basic operation
Charge your headphones
• Plug the supplied USB cable into the USB port of your computer or to a 5V USB
adapter to charge the battery.
• Make sure that the headphones is fully charged before using it for the first time.
• The headphones battery has to be initially charged for at least 3 hours.
Thereafter, the battery will take just about 2 hours to recharge.
• While the headphones are being charged, the LED glows red.
• When the battery has reached full capacity, the red LED turns off.
• The headphones include a convenient 6-level battery level percentage prompts.
This feature states the battery charge level every time is powered on.

Please remember that if the actual battery charge is, for instance, in the vicinity of the 30% level, the voice
prompt will say 40% instead, as partial values are not available.

8. If pairing is successful, a voice prompt will be heard and the LED will slowly flash
blue. If after 60 seconds the pairing process fails, please repeat steps 1 through 7
described above.
9. You only need to pair the headphone with your phone once, as it will
re-connect with memorized devices automatically.
Using the wireless headphones
1. Answering and ending a call
• When there is an incoming call, you will hear a ring and the LED blinks
alternatively red and blue.
• Briefly press the Multifunction button to pick it up. You may also press the
answer button on your cellular phone to take the call.
• To end a call, simply press the Multifunction button once again. Likewise, you
may also finish the call directly using the end key on your cell phone.
• To reject or ignore an incoming call, press and hold the Multifunction button
for 1 to 3 seconds.
• If you want to redial the last number called, quickly press the Multifunction
button twice.
2. Music playback
• Briefly press the Multifunction button to reproduce and stop audio playback.
• Press and hold the and buttons to go to the Next or Previous track.
• Press briefly the and buttons to increase or decrease the audio level on
the headphones.
• The prompt will be heard at about 5-minute intervals when the battery charge
is at 20%.
• The prompt will warn “Battery 10%, please charge” once, and then the device
automatically shuts off.
