Thank you for choosing the KOBIL
SecOVID Token.
The SecOVID Token is a handy, easy-to-
use device for user authentication in
network and application environments.
It is the electronic key to your digital
identity.
The SecOVID Token gives you the free-
dom to access your data and applica-
tions comfortably and safely from al-
most anywhere.

Falls das SecOVID Token noch eine
Lasche enthält, ziehen Sie diese
heraus (Abb. 1). Die Lasche dient dem
Batterieschutz und wird nicht mehr be-
nötigt.
Das Symbol "INIT" oben im Display
zeigt an, dass das Token noch
unbenutzt ist (Initialisierungsphase). Mit
dem Symbol "SNR" wird die Serien-
nummer des Tokens angezeigt (Abb. 2).
Die Seriennummer ist zusätzlich auf der
Rückseite des Tokens abgedruckt.
Drücken Sie in der Initialisierungs-
phase ca. 5 Sekunden lang die Ta-
ste des SecOVID Tokens, um das erste
Einmalpasswort zu erzeugen.

Drücken Sie ca. 2 Sekunden lang
die Taste des SecOVID Tokens.
Sofort erscheint das nächste Ein-
malpasswort und wird für 40 Se-
kunden angezeigt (Abb. 3). Das Kreis-
Symbol stellt dabei die verbleibende Zeit
bis zum Abschalten des Tokens dar.
Geben Sie das Einmalpasswort an
der Eingabemaske der PC-Applika-
tion ein. Falls Sie eine Server-PIN verwen-
den (das erfahren Sie von Ihrem Admini-
strator), so ist diese vor dem Einmalpass-
wort einzugeben!

displayed for 40 seconds (fig. 3). The
clock symbol shows the remaining time
until the token turns itself off.
Enter the one-time password at
the entry mask of the PC applica-
tion. If you use a Server-PIN (your admi-
nistrator will know this), you have to en-
ter it before the one-time password!

Nach der Generierung eines Einmal-
passwortes zeigt Ihnen ein Kreis-Symbol
an, wann sich das SecOVID Token auto-
matisch abschaltet (Abb. 4).
Tipp 1: Soll das Einmalpasswort länger
angezeigt werden, drücken Sie während
des Countdowns die Taste des SecOVID
Tokens (kurzer Tastendruck!). Das Ein-
malpasswort wird nun weitere 40
Sekunden angezeigt.
Tipp 2: Während der Anzeige des Ein-
malpasswortes führt ein langer Tasten-
druck (ca. 2 Sekunden lang) zur Berech-
nung und Anzeige eines neuen Einmal-
passwortes. Wenn Sie diesen Vorgang
öfter als 5x wiederholen möchten,
müssen Sie die Abschaltung abwarten
und ein neues Einmalpasswort erzeugen.

clock symbol will indicate the time
remaining before the SecOVID Token will
automatically turn itself off (fig. 4).
Tip 1: If you want the one-time password
to be displayed longer, briefly press the
button of the SecOVID Token during the
count-down. Now the one-time pass-
word will be displayed for another 40 se-
conds.
Tip 2: While the one-time password is
displayed, pressing the button for two
seconds will effect the calculation and
display of a new one-time password. If
you like to repeat this operation more
than five times, you have to wait until
the SecOVID Token turns itself off and
only then generate a new one-time
password.
