Control panel — ESP 1.2 Printer
Feature Description
1 LCD Displays pictures, messages, and menus
2 Navigation buttons Used to navigate menus, scroll through pictures
3 OK button Selects a menu item and allows you to continue with the
current operation
4 Start button Begins copying, scanning, maintenance tasks, and file
transfer
5 Cancel button Stops the current operation and returns to the previous
menu
6 Back button Displays the previous screen or the next highest screen in
the menu
7 Home button Displays the main menu

Feature Description
1 LCD touch screen Displays icons, pictures, messages, help, and menus

menu, and closes the Help screen

Home Center Software
KODAK Home Center Software is installed with your KODAK All-in-One Printer Software,
unless you chose otherwise. The Home Center icon will appear on your desktop.
On a computer with WINDOWS Operating System (OS), you can use Home Center
Software to browse and edit pictures, print, copy, scan, order supplies, access the
Extended User Guide, and configure your all-in-one printer from your computer.
On a computer with MAC OS, you can use Home Center Software to scan, order supplies,
access the Extended User Guide, and configure your printer from your computer.
Paper
For the best photo printing results, use KODAK Photo Papers, which are optimized to
work with KODAK All-in-One Printers.
For the best document printing results, use KODAK Papers or a paper with
the COLORLOK Technology logo on the package. Use only paper that is designed for
inkjet printers.

Paper types
You can use:
■Plain paper — 16 to 24 lb / 60 to 90 gsm
■Photo paper — up to 12 mils
■Card stock — 110 lb / 200 gsm, max
■Envelopes — most standard types
■Labels — all commercially available inkjet varieties on 8.5 x 11-in. or A4 sheets

Loading paper
1Lift the input tray.
2Pull out the output tray until it is fully extended.

Loading plain paper
The paper input tray capacity is 100 sheets of plain paper.
1Move the paper-edge guides outward.
2Fan and stack the paper, then insert it into the tray.
3Move the paper-edge guides until they touch the paper.

Loading photo paper
The paper input tray capacity is 20 sheets of photo paper.
1Remove any plain paper from the tray.
2Insert the paper (short side first) into the paper input tray with the logo side facing
toward the tray and the glossy side toward you.
IMPORTANT: If the photo paper is loaded the wrong way, the image quality will
be affected.
3Move the paper-edge guides until they touch the paper.

Printing documents
To print a document from your computer:
1Open the document.
2Select File > Print.
3In the Print window, select your KODAK Printer.
4Choose:
■pages to print
■number of copies
5Click:
■OK (on a computer with WINDOWS OS)
■Print (on a computer with MAC OS)

Printing pictures
You can print pictures with your all-in-one printer from:
■A memory card inserted into the memory card slot.
■An iPhone / iPod touch / iPad (may not be available with all models; for information,
go to www.kodak.com/go/mobile).
■BLACKBERRY Device; for information, go to www.kodak.com/go/mobile.
■ANDROID OS Device; for information, go to www.kodak.com/go/mobile.
You can also print pictures using Home Center Software from your computer with
WINDOWS OS. Home Center Software lets you edit and enhance your pictures quickly.
On a computer with either MAC OS or WINDOWS OS, you can print pictures from KODAK
EASYSHARE Software or any picture-editing or photo-management software.
Printing pictures from a memory card
Your printer accepts the following memory cards:
■SD Card
■SDHC Card
■MMC Card
■MEMORY STICK
■Variations of the memory cards above that require an adapter (for example, MEMORY
STICK Duo, miniSD, and microSD)

Printing pictures with your ESP 1.2 Printer
To print a picture from a memory card:
1Insert the memory card into the memory card slot.
2Press or to browse to the picture you want to print.
3Press OK to select your picture.
4Repeat steps 2 through 3 for each picture you want to print.
5Select a print size:
aPress .
bPress to select Print Size.
cPress to navigate to the picture size to print.
6Press .

Printing pictures with your ESP 3.2 Printer
To print from a memory card:
1Insert the memory card into the memory card slot.
2Touch View Photos, if necessary, then touch or to browse to the picture you
want to print.
3Touch , then use the Zoom and Rotate options to edit your picture, as needed.
4Touch or to select a quantity.
5Select a print size:
aPress .
bTouch Options, then touch and Print Size.
cTouch or , then touch the picture size to print.
6Press .
7Repeat steps 2 though 5 for each picture you want to print.

Copying
To copy a document or a picture:
1Lift the scanner lid, and place the document or picture face down on the glass.
2Close the lid, then press .
3ESP 1.2 Printer: Press or to select Copy Document or Copy Photo,
then press OK.
ESP 3.2 Printer: Touch Copy Document or Copy Photo.
4Press .

Scanning
To scan a document or a picture:
1Lift the scanner lid, and place the document or picture face down on the glass.
2Close the lid, then press .
3ESP 1.2 Printer: Press or to select Scan, press OK, then select Scan to
Computer or Scan to Memory Card, and press OK.
ESP 3.2 Printer: Touch Scan, then touch Scan to Computer or Scan to Memory
Card.
4Select the scan options you want to change, as needed.
5Press . The scanned file appears at the destination you specified.
