Before You Begin
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury or product damage. Handle
with care. Product can break, chip or cause injury if handled
carelessly. Get help lifting the lavatory.
CAUTION: Risk of property damage. Do not install this
lavatory on a glass countertop. The weight of the lavatory may
damage the glass countertop.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not apply plumbers
putty to this lavatory. Silicone sealant is required, as silicone
sealant will not discolor the product surface.
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
If you are replacing an existing lavatory, turn off the water supply
to the faucet. Open the faucet valves to relieve pressure, then
disconnect the supply lines. Disconnect the drain assembly,
remove the trap, then remove the lavatory.
For new installations, ensure the water supply lines, drain piping,
vanity, and/or countertop is in place before proceeding with the
lavatory installation.

Before You Begin (cont.)
A wall-mount faucet is recommended for use with this lavatory.
When selecting a wall-mount faucet, ensure the spout will reach a
minimum of 3″(7.6 cm) over the rim of the lavatory and the
stream of water is directed toward the center of the lavatory
basin.
Never rest or store the lavatory on the drain surface.
Prior to installation, unpack the new lavatory and inspect it for
damage. Return the lavatory to its protective carton until you are
ready to install it.
If installing multiple components (such as a cabinet, countertop,
or lavatory), read all product installation instructions before
beginning the lavatory installation. Some components should be
installed before others. Refer to Homeowners Guide for sample
configurations.

products without notice, as specified in the Price Book.

Roughing-In
NOTE: To determine the faucet and lavatory placement, consider the
faucet and handle escutcheon diameters, the length of the spout,
and the clearance between the spout and the lavatory rim. Ensure:
•the faucet spout will reach a minimum of 3″(7.6 cm) over the rim
of the lavatory.
•adequate clearance for hand washing.
•the stream of water is directed toward the center of the lavatory
basin.

1. Prepare the Site
Cut along the cut-out line on the cut-out template.
Position the cut-out template square on the countertop. Use
centerlines to ensure clearance between the lavatory, backsplash,
and faucet.
Secure the template in place with masking tape.
Use a pencil to trace around the cut-out line on the countertop.
NOTE: Ensure the faucet spout will reach a minimum of 3″(7.6 cm)
over the rim of the lavatory and the stream of water is directed
toward the center of the lavatory basin.
Recheck the clearance between the lavatory, backsplash, and
faucet. Adjust the traced cut-out line, if necessary.
Use a pencil to mark the exact center of the four mounting hole
locations on the countertop.
Remove the cut-out template.
Cut along the inside of the marked pencil line with a jigsaw.
Slowly drill four 5/16″diameter mounting holes at the marked
centers.

2. Install the Lavatory
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury or product damage. Marble
lavatories are very heavy. Get help lifting the lavatory into place.
Mark a spot 3/8″(1 cm) in on each threaded stud, as shown.
Thread the threaded studs into each of the four mounting holes
on the bottom of the lavatory. Do not tighten past the marked
points on the threaded studs.
Temporarily position the lavatory in the countertop cutout.
Inspect for proper fit.
Remove the lavatory, then place it upside down on a soft cloth.
Install the faucet according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Install the drain to the lavatory according to the drain installation
instructions.
Apply a thin continuous bead of silicone sealant around the flat
outside edge of the bottom surface of the lavatory.
Carefully position the lavatory in the countertop cutout.

Install the Lavatory (cont.)
Thread a washer and nut onto each of the threaded studs from
underneath the countertop.
Tighten the nuts 1/2 turn past hand-tight with an adjustable
wrench.
Wipe away any excess sealant with a clean cloth. Fill any voids as
needed.
Allow the sealant to cure for at least 30 minutes before
proceeding.
3. Installation Checkout
Connect and tighten the trap to the drain, and complete the water
supply connections to the faucet according to the instructions
packed with the faucet.
Run water into the lavatory and check for leaks.
Clean up with a non-abrasive cleaner.

silicone est requis, car celui-ci ne décolore pas la surface du
produit.
Respecter tous les codes de plomberie et de bâtiment locaux.
Dans le cas de remplacement d’un lavabo existant, couper
l’alimentation d’eau au robinet. Ouvrir les valves de robinet pour
libérer la pression et déconnecter les lignes d’alimentation.
Débrancher le drain, retirer le siphon et retirer le lavabo.
Pour de nouvelles installations, s’assurer que les lignes
d’alimentation d’eau, la tuyauterie du drain, meuble. et/ou le
comptoir soient en place avant de procéder à l’installation du
lavabo.
Lors de la sélection de robinet, s’assurer que le bec atteigne un
minimum de 3″(7,6 cm) au-dessus du rebord du lavabo et que le
jet d’eau soit dirigé vers le centre du bassin du lavabo.
Ne pas laisser reposer le lavabo sur la surface du drain.
Avant son installation, déballer le nouveau lavabo et l’examiner
pour en déceler tout dommage. Remettre le lavabo dans son
emballage de protection jusqu’à être prêt à l’installer.
Dans les cas d’installation de composants multiples (tels que
meuble, comptoir, ou lavabo), lire toutes les instructions
d’installation du produit avant de commencer. Certains éléments
doivent être installés avant d’autres. Se réferer au guide du
propriétaire pour les échantillons de configurations.

REMARQUE : Pour déterminer l’emplacement du robinet et du
lavabo, tenir compte du diamètre des appliques du robinet et des
poignées, de la longueur du bec et du dégagement entre le bec et du
rebord du lavabo. S’assurer que :
•un espace minimum de 3″(7,6 cm)soit ménagé entre le bec du
robinet et le dessus du bord du lavabo.
•un dégagement adéquat soit ménagé pour le lavage des mains.
•le jet d’eau est dirigé vers le centre du lavabo.
