
12. Sitting on the Rollator
Before sitting down on the rollator ensure the brakes are in the parking
position and make sure the rollator is on an even surface and will not
slide or topple over. Sit up straight and never lean backwards.
Do not support your weight on the handle when attempting to sit. Use
the handle to stabilize your body as you carefully turn around. Keep
your hands on the handles and slowly lower your weight onto the seat.
WARNING!
Never move rollator while seated and never sit more than
one person on the seat.
11. Locking the Brakes (Parking Position)
Push both brake levers down to
apply and lock the brakes while
the rollator is stationary (Fig 11.1).
WARNING! Test the brakes regularly.
WARNING!
All wheels MUST be in contact with the floor at All TIMES
during use. This will ensure the rollator is properly balanced.
WARNING!
Use the rollator on firm stable surfaces only. Never use the
rollator on uneven or loose terrian.
WARNING!
Never sit on the rollator seat without making sure the seat is
located correctly in the fully open postion.
