1 Functions
1.1 Place a Call
•Lift the handset and dial the number.
•Press the “SPEAKER” key and dial the number. Lift the handset when the party answers.
•Press a speed dial button.
1.2 Answer a Call
•Lift the handset or press “SPEAKER” key
1.3 End a Call
•Hang up the handset.
•Press the” SPEAKER” key ,when you are on a hands free call.
1.4 Redial the Most Recently Dialed Number
•Lift the handset and press the “REDIAL” key, or simply press the “REDIAL” key to
activate the speaker.
1.5 Phone Book
1.5.1 Use Phone Book to Make a Call
Press PHONEBOOK>Phone Book>SET/OK>Query>SET/OK, then use” ” key to search
the phone number, press again “SET/OK”key, press” #” or “CALL” to dial out.
1.5.2 Add,Edit or Delete Phone Number
Press PHONEBOOK key to enter setting menu, Press “SET/OK “key,using” ” key to
select Phone Book. then you can Query、Add、Delete、Edit call records.
1.6 CLEAR Input information
When you delete input information,Use press CLEAR key clear it.
1.7 Call History
Press PHONEBOOK to enter setting menu, using” ” key to select Call History. Press
“SET/OK” key, then Press “ ”key you can select placing, deleting or saving missed call,
received call and placed call.
1.8 Volume Control
1. When handset is off-hook press “ ” key to increase the volume of handset,press
“”key to lower it.
2. When using speaker press” “key to increase the volume of ringer and speaker, press
“”key to decrease it.

3. In standby state, to adjust the ringer volume press” ”key to increase or, press “ ”
key to decrease it.
You can also adjust the volume of your voice sent to the other phone
Login the Web configuration page of the phone to set the input volume of handset and speaker.
This will determine the level of the sound to the IP phone.
1.9 Input Mode
Press “ALPHA” key to change input mode between digital and alphanumeric. Default:
alphanumeric.
1.10 Abbrdialplan
This is a table of 10 entries that will allow you to program phone numbers or “prefixes”. When
using this feature, you can enter specific number patterns, which when dialed will actually dial
out different or addition digits. Once programmed there are no special buttons to press to
initiate this feature.
For example: If you live in Northern Virginia, (area code 703), and you keep forgetting to dial
“1” when you are calling local calls, you can create an entry to allow you to compensate for
when you forget the “1”. To do this, your entry would have an index of “703” and an entry of
“1703”. Now when ever you dial 703 followed by the phone number, your KE2000A will dial
1703 and the phone number.
Method of application:
1) Press “SET/OK“key to enter the main menu, and use“ ”key to choose ‘Advanced
settings’.
2) Press ”SET/OK“ key to the submenu and use” ”key to choose ‘Use AbbrDialPlan’;
3) Press ”SET/OK“ key and then use” ”key to choose ”Enable”and press“SET/OK”key;
4) Press” ” key to select ”Add AbbrDialPlan”, press”SET/OK” key to add AbbrDialPlan.
1.11 M1——M8 Speed Dial
If M1-M8 has been configured, when you pick up the handset, press it and #, the number it
stand for will be automatically dialed out. If it hasn’t been configured, a warning appears.
Please set according to the prompt.
1.12 Mute
The mute function allows you to hear your caller, but your caller will not be able to hear
anything you say.
Press “MUTE “key to talk privately with someone else without the person on the phone
hearing you. Press “MUTE” key again to continue your conversation with the other party.
1.13 Call duration display
KE2001A supports a call duration display for each call, letting you know how long you have
been on each call.

1.14 Call forwarding
1.14.1 Uncondition call forwarding
All incoming call will be forward to the destination number.
Login to web setting page >Voip Related>Unconditional Call Forward> Input destination
number.
1.14.2 No answer call forwarding
If the incoming call haven’t been answered within the duration you set, the call will be forward
to the destination number.
Login to web setting page >Voip Related>No Answer Call Forward> Input destination
number.
1.14.3 Busy call forwarding
If the terminal is on busy, the call will be forward to the destination number.
Login to web setting page > Voip Related> Busy Call Forward> Input destination number.
1.14.4 Cancel forwarding
You can delete the forward numbers in the web setting page.
2 Service Features
! Important Note: Your service provider may can not support your service features to some
of the callers or callees.
2.1 Call Hold / Retrieve
Enables you put a caller on hold while a second call is answered or made.
When on a call, a user can press the “HOLD” key on the VoIP Phone, then dials the new
number. To retrieve press the “HOLD” key again.
2.2 Call Waiting
Firstly, activate the Call Waiting function by IP phone settings page or your KE2001A.
If your line is busy, callers are asked to wait while you are alerted to their incoming call.
2.2.1 Enable or Disable call waiting
Press “SET/OK “key to enter main menu, then use” ” key to choose Call Settings.
Press “SET/OK “key to enter submenu, then use” ” key to choose CALL_WAITING.
Press” SET/OK” key, use” ” key to choose ON or OFF. Press” SET/OK” key, Press two
times “ESC”key again the automatic save.
2.3 Switching between calls
While you are on the phone, a beep tone alerts you to another incoming call. To take this call
press the “HOLD” key, the first call will be placed on hold while you answer the second call.
To retrieve the first call presses the “HOLD” key again.
2.4 Call Transfer
Call Transfer allows you to transfer answered calls to another destination.

Method 1: When an incoming call is answered, press” XFER “key, dial the new destination,
and press the “#”.
Method 2: When an incoming call is answered, press “XFER” key, press” PHONEBOOK” key
to enter the Call History or Phone Book submenu, and search phone number from the
submenu then press “SET/OK", “# “or “CALL” key to dial out.
Method 3: When an incoming call is answered, press” XFER” key, then press” M1~ M8”key
to select a number to dial out.
2.5 Do not Disturb
Once enabled, the phone will reject any incoming call and callers hear busy tone.
When the phone in standby state, press the “HOLD” key, the function will be enabled and the
LCD of your phone will display “Do Not Disturb: ON”, press the”HOLD” key again to cancel the
function.
2.6 Caller Number Display
The LCD on your VoIP Phone will display incoming caller number, if available.
2.7 Balance Display
The LCD on you VoIP Phone will display your account balance. The balance will be displayed
when you making a call or when you finished a call.
3 Upgrade
There are two methods to upgrade your phone: upgrading by Web or phone
3.1 Upgrade by Web
3.1.1 Remote Upgrade
You should login the Web configuration page>Click Advanced Settings>Click Software
Upgrade, to enter the upgrade page. Then you can choose “Update Program” or “Update
Bootload”.
Update Program: Upgrade the function menu, key function, configuration page and kernel
program of your phone.
Update Bootload: Upgrade the booting program for phone starting.
After completing the configuration, press Upgrade to download the software and upgrade
automatically, press reset to cancel.
3.1.2 Local Upgrade
After you enter the upgrade page, you should select the proper upgrade file saved in your PC,
then click Upgrade to upgrade the program of your phone automatically.
3.2 Upgrade by Phone
Press SET/OK> >Setting Options>SET/OK to enter the upgrade menu, you can select
Update Program or Update Bootload remote upgrade method to upgrade your phone.
Please refer to 3.1.1 for the upgrade information of Update Program or Update Bootload.
! Note: Please make sure your power supply is working normally during the upgrade process.

In addition, the upgrade duration is based on the network status.
