Thank you for choosing the Korg Foot Controller MS-01. The MS-01 is a
special type of foot control unit designed to give complete foot control of all
synthesizer functions. Besides giving control of each module of the Korg
MS-10 and MS-20 synthesizers, this pedal is also equipped with an attenuator
so that it can be used to control volume or M G modulation depth.
Wir mochten uns bei dieser Gelegenheit dafur bedanken, daB Sie sich fur einen
FuRregler von Korg entschieden haben. Modell MS-01 ist ein einzigartiger
FuBregler, mit dem alle funktionen des Synthesizers gesteuert werden konnen.
Neben der Regelung der einzelnen Modulsder Korg Synthesizer MS-10 und
MS-20 kann dieser FuBregler auch zur Regelung der Lautstarke und der
Modulationstiefe (MG) eingesezt werden.
Merci d'avoir choisi la Pedale Korg MS-01. La MS-01 est un type special de
pedale permettant de commander toutes les fonctions du synthetiseur avec le
pied. Tout en assurant le controle de chaque module des synthetiseurs MS-10
et MS-20, cette pedale est egalement equipee d'un attenuateur permettant de
regler le volume ou la profondeur de modulation.

When you press down on the pedal with your foot, the output voltage will go from 0~+4
or from 0~-4. Choose either the plus or minus output according to your needs.
Of course you can also use both the plus and minus outputs at the same time.
Wird das Pedal mit dem FuR niedergetreten, dann kann dadurch die Ausgangsspannung
im Bereich von 0 bis +4V bzw. von 0 bis -4V geregelt werden. Abhangig von den Gegeben-
heiten sind die positiven oder negativen Ausgange zu wahlen, wobei jedoch diese auch
gleichzeitig verwendet werden konnen.
Lorsqu'on enfonce la pedale avec le pied, la tension de sortie varie de 0 a +4 ou de 0 a -4.
Suivant les besoins, on peut choisir une tension de sortie positive ou negative et, bien
entendu, on peut aussi utiliser les deux en meme temps.

As the pedal is depressed, the output signal strength increases. In other words, it operates
like an ordinary volume pedal.
Durch Niedertreten des Pedals wird die Starke des Ausgangssignales erhoht, d.h. der FuS-
regler arbeitet auch wir ein herkommlicher Lautstarkesteller.
L'amplitude du signal de sortie augmente lorsqu'on enfonce la pedale. Dans ce cas, la
pedale fonctionne done comme une pedale de volume ordinaire.

^ of your synthesizer, you can use the pedal to vary the cut-off frequency.
If you use the plus output, only the upper frequency range will be left when you press
the pedal thus producing a bright sound. On the other hand if you use the minus output,
the sound produced when you press the pedal will have a rounded tone quality.
The effect is clearer if the VCF cut-off frequency knob is turned down slightly.
Figure-2. You can use the attenuator section of the MS-01 to control volume. Just connect
MF 01 between the MS-10 or another synthesizer's SIGNAL OUT output and your
amplifier's input. Pressing down on the pedal will increase the volume.
Figure-3. Another effective way of using the attenuator section of the MS-01 is to control
modulation depth. Connect the MS-01 between the modulation generator output and
the VCO FREQ IN input of your synthesizer. Pressing the pedal will vary the depth
of the vibrato effect.
Bild- 1. Durch den Anschlufc des Spannungsprozessorteiles von Modell MS-01 an die Synthesizer-
Eingange des spannungsgeregelten Frequenzgenerators kann der Pedalregler verwendet
werden, urn die Grenzfrequenz zu variieren. Wird der positive Ausgang verwendet, dann
werden nur die Hohen wiedergegeben; wird dagegen der negative Ausgang benutzt, dann
entsteht bei niedergetretenem Pedal ein abgerudetes Klangbild. Der Effekt wird noch
deiitlicher, wenn der Knopf fur die Grenzfrequenz des spannungsgeregelten
Frequenzgenerators etwas zugedreht wird.

Einfach Modell MS-01 an einen Synthesizer MS-10 oder einen anderen Synthesizer
(SIGNAL OUT Ausgang) und an die Eingange Ihres Verstarkers anschlieBen. Durch
Niedertreten des Pedals wird danach die Lautstarke erhoht.

verwenden. Modell MS-01 an die Ausgange des Modulationsgenerators und an die
VCO FREQ IN Eingange Ihres Verstarkers anschlieBen. Durch Niedertreten des Pedals
wird die Tiefe des Vibratoreffektes variiert.

coupure. Si on utilise la sortie positive, seule la gamme de frequences superieure est
restituee lorsqu'on enfonce la pedale, ce qui donne un son brillant. Par contre, si on
utilise la sortie negative, on obtiendra un son plus "rond". L'effet est plus net si on
diminue legerement le reglage de frequence de coupure VCF.

de raccorder la MS-01 entre la sortie SIGNAL OUT du MS-10 ou d'un autre synthetiseur
et I'entree de I'amplificateur. Le volume augmente lorsqu'on appuie sur la pedale.
Figure-3. On peut aussi utiliser la section attenuateur de la MS-01 pour regler la profondeur de
modulation. Pour cela, raccorder la MS-01 entre la sortie du generateur de modulation
et I'entree VCO FREQ IN du synthetiseur. On peut alors, en enfoncant la pedale, faire
varier la profondeur de l'effet de vibrato.
