Precautions
Location
Using the unit in the following locations can result in a
malfunction.
• In direct sunlight
• Locations of extreme temperature or humidity

Power supply
Be sure to turn off the power when the unit is not in
use. Remove the battery in order to prevent it from
leaking when the unit is not in use for extended
periods.
Interference with other electrical devices
Radios and televisions placed nearby may experience
reception interference. Operate this unit at a suitable
distance from radios and televisions.
Handling
To avoid breakage, do not apply excessive force to the
switches or controls.
Care
If the exterior becomes dirty, wipe it with a clean, dry
cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene or
thinner, or cleaning compounds or flammable polishes.

reference.
Keeping foreign matter out of your equipment

Thank you for purchasing the Korg KDM-3
DIGITAL METRONOME. To help you get
the most out of your new instrument,
please read this manual carefully.
Installing the Batteries
Open the battery cover, located on the
bottom of the KDM-3, and then insert the
batteries, making sure to observe the
correct polarity.
TIP The settings are retained even after the
KDM-3 is turned off. To return all settings
of the KDM-3 to their factory defaults, hold
down the TAP button and press the
STANDBY/ON button to turn on the
KDM-3.
Turning the Power on
Press the STANDBY/ON button to turn on
the power.
To turn off the KDM-3, hold down the
STANDBY/ON button until the display
goes off.
The power will automatically turn off if the
metronome has not been used for 20
minutes. (Auto power-off)
Connecting headphones
The KDM-3 can be used by connecting the
commercially-available stereo mini-plug
(φ3.5 mm) headphones to the PHONES
jack. When headphones are connected to
the KDM-3, no sound will be generated
from the speaker. The speaker or head-
phones volume can be adjusted with the
Volume dial.
Metronome Mode
Turn the power on. The KDM-3 will enter the
metronome mode. Start or stop the metronome by
using the START/STOP button.
Specifying the tempo
Turn the TEMPO/CALIB dial to specify the tempo.
Specifying the tempo steps
Hold down the TIMER button to switch between
pendulum steps and full steps. When pendulum
steps are selected, “ ” appears in the display.
Pendulum steps
The tempo can be set to one of 49 steps, representing
the tempo markings on a pendulum metronome.
TIP The value of each step is indicated on the side
of the KDM-3.
Full steps
The tempo can be increased or decreased in steps of
1 through the range of 30 to 252.
Specifying the tempo according to the tune
Press the TAP button several times in accordance
with the tempo of the tune to be played. The
metronome detects the interval at which you press
the switch, and specifies the tempo accordingly.

TIP
If the detected tempo is lower than 30, it is specified
as 30, and if it is 252 or higher, it is specified as 252.
TIP During tap tempo input, “TAP” is displayed on
the display. If there is no input for a given period of
time, “TAP” disappears and tap tempo input ends.
Specifying the beat
Press the BEAT/NOTE or button to specify the
beat. “ ” appears in the display in time with the
selected beat.
Specifying the metronome sound
Press the VOICE SELECT button to specify the
metronome sound.
Select a metronome sound between VOICE 1 and 8,
according to your instrument or requirements.

Specifying the timer
In timer mode, the metronome runs for the
specified time, then automatically stops.
1. Press the TIMER button to enter timer mode.
2. Turn the TEMPO/CALIB dial (for 1-minute
steps) or press the BEAT/NOTE or button (for
10-second steps) to specify the amount of time that
the metronome will run. The time can be set within
the range of 1 to 120 minutes.
3. Press the START/STOP button to start the
metronome and timer countdown.
If the START/STOP button is pressed while the
timer and metronome are running in timer mode,
the timer is paused and the metronome is stopped.
TIP To check the remaining amount of time during
operation, press the TIMER button. Pressing the
START/STOP button while the timer is running will
pause the timer only. Press the TIMER button again
to end timer mode.
TIP To return to the time you set, press the TAP
button while the timer is paused.
TIP After reaching the last minute, the time display
switches from minutes to seconds.
4. When the specified time has elapsed, the
metronome automatically stops, and timer mode
ends.
Sound Out Mode
Press the SOUND button to enter the sound out
mode. A sound serving as a tuning guide will
generate. To return to metronome mode, press the
SOUND button in sound out mode.
Specifying the tone
Press the BEAT/NOTE or button to specify the
tone (note name). Tune the instrument using the
sound that is output (reference tone).
Reference pitch settings (calibration)
Turn the TEMPO/CALIB dial to adjust the
calibration value.

Merci d’avoir choisi le DIGITAL METRO-
NOME KDM-3 de Korg. Afin de pouvoir
exploiter au mieux toutes les possibilités
offertes par l’instrument, veuillez lire
attentivement ce manuel.
Installation des piles
Ouvrir le couvercle du compartiment des
piles situé sur le dessous du KDM-3 et insérer
les piles en respectant les indications de
polarité.
ASTUCE
Les réglages sont conservés même après
la mise hors tension du KDM-3. Pour initialiser
tous les paramètres du KDM-3 à leurs valeurs
d’usine, maintenir enfoncé le bouton TAP et
appuyer sur le bouton STANDBY/ON pour
mettre le KDM-3 sous tension.
Mise sous tension
Appuyer sur le bouton STANDBY/ON pour
mettre le métronome sous tension.
Pour mettre le KDM-3 hors tension, maintenir
son bouton STANDBY/ON enfoncé jusqu’à ce
que l’écran s’éteigne.
L’alimentation est automatiquement coupée
quand le métronome est resté inutilisé
pendant 20 minutes. (Mise hors tension
automatique)
Connexion d’un casque
Le KDM-3 peut être utilisé en reliant de
casque minijack stéréo (de 3,5 mm)
disponibles dans le commerce à la prise
PHONES. Quand de casque sont branchés au
KDM-3, le haut-parleur interne ne produit
aucun son. Le volume du haut-parleur ou de
casque peut être réglé avec la commande
VOLUME.
Mode de Métronome
Mettre l’appareil sous tension. Le KDM-3 entrera en
mode de Métronome.
Démarrer ou arrêter le métronome au moyen de le
bouton START/STOP.
Comment spécifier le tempo
Tourner la molette TEMPO/CALIB. pour spécifier le tempo.
Régler les pas de tempo
Maintenir le bouton TIMER enfoncé pour alterner entre
les pas pendulaires et les pas complets. Quand les pas
pendulaires sont sélectionnés, “ ” s’affiche à l’écran.
Pas pendulaires
Le tempo peut être réglé sur une échelle de 49 pas
correspondant aux repères de tempo d’un métronome
à pendule.
ASTUCE La valeur de chaque pas est indiquée sur le côté
du KDM-3.
Pas complets
Le tempo peut être augmenté ou diminué par pas de 1
sur une plage de 30 à 252.
Indique le tempo selon la mélodie
Appuyer sur le bouton TAP plusieurs fois selon le
tempo de la mélodie devant être jouée.
Le métronome détecte l’intervalle auquel vous
appuyez sur l’interrupteur, et indique le tempo en
conséquence. (Tap tempo)
ASTUCE Si le tempo détecté est inférieur à 30, il est
indiqué comme 30, et s’il est de 252 ou plus, il est
indiqué comme 252.
ASTUCE Pendant l’entrée du tempo Tap, “TAP” est
indiqué sur l’écran. S’il n’y a aucune entrée pendant
une période donnée, “TAP” disparaît et l’entrée de
tempo Tap se termine.
Comment spécifier la mesure
Appuyer sur le bouton BEAT/NOTE ou pour
sélectionner le battement. “ ” s’affiche à l’écran sur le
battement défini.
Comment spécifier le son du métronome
Appuyer sur le bouton VOICE SELECT pour
sélectionner le son du métronome.
Sélectionner un des sons de métronome VOICE 1 à 8 en
fonction des instruments ou de vos préférences.

Comment minuter le métronome
En mode de minuterie, le métronome fonctionne
durant la durée définie, puis s’arrête automatiquement.
1. Appuyer sur le bouton TIMER pour passer en
mode de minuterie.
2. Tourner la molette TEMPO/CALIB (pas de 1
minute) ou appuyer sur le bouton BEAT/NOTE ou
(pas de 10 secondes) pour définir la durée pendant
laquelle le métronome fonctionne. La durée peut être
réglée entre 1 et 120 minutes.

Appuyer sur le bouton START/STOP pour lancer le
métronome et la minuterie. Si le bouton START/STOP est
enfoncé quand la minuterie et le métronome sont actifs,
la minuterie est interrompue et le métronome s’arrête.
ASTUCE Pour vérifier la durée restante pendant
l’utilisation, appuyer sur le bouton TIMER. Appuyer
sur bouton START/STOP quand la minuterie
fonctionne interrompt uniquement la minuterie.
Appuyer à nouveau sur le bouton TIMER pour
désactiver le mode de minuterie.
ASTUCE Pour retourner à la durée programmée, appuyer
sur le bouton TAP quand la minuterie est momentané-
ment interrompue.
ASTUCE Quand la dernière minute est en cours,
l’affichage passe des minutes aux secondes.

Quand la durée spécifiée est écoulée, le métronome s’arrête
automatiquement et le mode de minuterie est désactivé.
Mode de sortie du son
Appuyer sur le bouton SOUND pour entrer en mode
de sortie du son. Un son servant de guide d’accord est
généré. Pour retourner au mode métronome depuis le
mode de sortie du son, appuyer sur le bouton SOUND.
Comment spécifier la note du son
Appuyer sur le bouton BEAT/NOTE ou pour
sélectionner la note (nom de la note).
Accordez l’instrument à l’aide du son produit (note
de référence).
Réglages de la hauteur de référence (calibrage)
Tourner la molette TEMPO/CALIB. pour régler la
valeur de calibrage.

Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für einen KDM-3
DIGITAL METRONOME von Korg entschieden
haben. Bitte lesen Sie sich diese Anleitung
vollstädig durch, um bei der Bedienung alles richtig
zu machen.
Batterien einlegen
Öffnen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel an der Unterseite
des KDM-3 und legen Sie die Batterien unter
Beachtung der richtigen Polung ein.
TIPP Die Einstellungen bleiben auch nach dem
Ausschalten des KDM-3 erhalten. Zum Rücksetzen
auf sämtliche Werkseinstellungen des KDM-3
halten Sie die TAP-Taste gedrückt und schalten Sie
das KDM-3 mit der STANDBY/ON-Taste ein.
Einschalten
Drücken Sie zum Einschalten die STANDBY/
ON-Taste.
Halten Sie zum Ausschalten des KDM-3 die
STANDBY/ON-Taste gedrückt, bis das Display
erlischt.
Das Gerät schaltet sich automatisch aus, wenn das
Metronom 20 Minuten lang nicht benutzt worden
ist. (Energiesparfunktion)
Einen Kopfhörer anschließen
Sie können einen handelsüblichen Kopfhörer mit
Stereo-Miniklinkenstecker (φ3,5 mm) an die
PHONES-Buchse des KDM-3 anschließen. Ist ein
Kopfhörer ans KDM-3 angeschlossen, wird der
Lautsprecher stummgeschaltet. Die Lautsprecher
oder Kopfhörerlautstärke kann mit dem VOLU-
ME-Rad eingestellt werden.
Metronommodus
Schalten Sie das Gerät ein. Das KDM-3 schaltet auf
Metronom-Modus. Das Metronom startet und
stoppt bei Betätigung der START/STOP-Taste.
Festlegen des Tempos
Drehen Sie den TEMPO/CALIB-Rad, um das Tempo
festzulegen.
Festlegen der Temposchritte
Halten Sie die TIMER-Taste gedrückt, um zwischen
Pendelschritten und ganzen Schritten umzuschalten. Wenn
Pendelschritte gewählt sind, erscheint „ “ im Display.
Pendelschritte
Sie können das Tempo in 49 Schritten einstellen, die den
Tempomarkierungen eines Pendelmetronoms entsprechen.
TIPP Der Wert sämtlicher Schritte wird auf der Seite des
KDM-3 angezeigt.
Ganze Schritte
Das Tempo kann in Einserschritten im Bereich
zwischen 30 und 252 BPM eingestellt werden.
Legt das Tempo entsprechend der Melodie fest
Drücken Sie die TAP-Taste mehrmals entsprchend dem
Tempo der zu spielenden Musik. Das Metronom
erkennt den Intervall, in dem die Taste gedrückt wurde
und legt das Tempo entsprechend fest. (Tap-Tempo)
TIPP Wenn das erkannte Tempo unter 30 ist, wird es als
30 festgelegt, und wenn es 252 oder höher ist, wird es
als 252 festgelegt.
TIPP Während der Tap-Tempoeingabe erscheint „TAP“
im
Display . Wenn eine bestimmte Zeit lang keine Einga-
be vorliegt, verschwindet „TAP“, und die Tap-Tempo-
eingabe ist beendet.
Festlegen der Taktart
Drücken Sie die Taste BEAT/NOTE oder , um die
Taktart festzulegen. Im Display erscheint im Takt zur
gewählten Taktart „ “.
Festlegen des Metronom-Tons
Drücken Sie die VOICE SELECT-Taste, um den
Metronom-Ton festzulegen.
Wählen Sie unter VOICE 1 bis 8 einen zu Ihrem
Instrument passenden oder Ihren Bedürfnissen
entsprechenden Ton aus.

TImer einstellen
Im Timer-Modus läuft das Metronom eine zuvor
eingestellte Zeit lang und stoppt dann automatisch.
1. Drücken Sie die TIMER-Taste, um den Timer-Mo-
dus aufzurufen.
2. Drehen Sie das TEMPO/CALIB-Rad (für 1-Minuten
Schritte) oder drücken Sie die Taste BEAT/NOTE 
oder (für 10-Sekunden-Schritte), um die Laufdauer
des Metronoms einzustellen. Dies kann in einem
Bereich zwischen 1 und 120 Minuten erfolgen.
3. Drücken Sie die START/STOP-Taste zum Starten
des Metronoms und des Timer-Countdowns. Falls die
START/STOP-Taste bei laufendem Timer und
Metronom gedrückt wird, wird der Countdown
pausiert und das Metronom gestoppt.
TIPP
Um die verbleibende Zeit während des Betriebs zu
prüfen, drücken Sie die TIMER-Taste. Wenn Sie die
START/STOP-Taste drücken, während der Timer läuft,
wird der Timer nur pausiert. Drücken Sie die
TIMER-Taste erneut, um den Timer-Modus zu beenden.
TIPP Um den Countdown nach dem Pausieren neu zu
beginnen, drücken Sie die TAP-Taste.
TIPP Nach Erreichen der letzten Minute wechselt die
Zeitanzeige von Minuten auf Sekunden.

Nach Ablauf der eingestellten Zeit stoppt das Metro-
nom automatisch und der Timer-Modus wird beendet.
Ton-Ausgabe-Modus
Drücken Sie die SOUND-Taste, um den Ton-Ausga-
be-Modus einzuschalten. Ein als Stimmhilfe dienender
Ton wird erzeugt. Drücken Sie die SOUND-Taste
erneut, um in den Metronom-Modus zurückzukehren.
Festlegen des referenzton
Drücken Sie die Taste BEAT/NOTE oder , um des
referenzton (Notenname) festzulegen.
Stimmen Sie das Instrument anhand des
ausgegebenen Klangs (Referenzton).
Referenztonhöhe einstellen (Kalibrierung)
Drehen Sie den TEMPO/CALIB.-Wählrad, um
den Kalibrierungswert einzustellen.

Manual de usuario
Gracias por comprar el afinador KDM-3
DIGITAL METRONOME de Korg. Por
favor, lea este manual atentamente y
guárdelo para futuras consultas.
Instalación de las pilas
Abra la tapa del compartimento de las pilas
en la parte inferior del KDM-3 e inserte las
pilas, asegurándose de hacerlo con la polar-
idad correcta.
CONSEJO Los ajustes se conservan incluso
después de apagar el KDM-3. Para
restablecer todos los ajustes predetermina-
dos de fábrica en el KDM-3, mantenga
pulsado el botón TAP y pulse el botón
STANDBY/ON para encender el KDM-3.
Encendido de la alimentación

la alimentación.
Para apagar el KDM-3, mantenga pulsado

Conexión de unos auriculares
El KDM-3 puede utilizarse conectando en
el jack PHONES unos auriculares con
minijack (φ 3,5 mm) estéreo de los
disponibles en el mercado. Cuando hay
unos auriculares conectados al KDM-3, no
sale sonido por el altavoz. El volumen del
altavoz o de los auriculares puede ajustarse
con el dial VOLUME.
Modo de Metrónomo
Encienda la alimentación. El KDM-3 accederá al modo
de metrónomo. Inicie o detenga el metrónomo con el
botón START/STOP.
Ajustar el tempo
Gire el dial TEMPO/CALIB para especificar el tempo.
Especificar los pasos del tempo
Mantenga pulsado el botón TIMER para cambiar
entre pasos de péndulo y pasos completos. Cuando
se seleccionan los pasos de péndulo, en la pantalla
aparece “ ”.
Pasos de péndulo
El tempo puede ajustarse en uno de los 49 pasos
que representan las marcas de tempo de un
metrónomo de péndulo.
CONSEJO El valor de cada paso está indicado en el
lateral del KDM-3.
Pasos completos
El tempo puede incrementarse o disminuirse en
pasos de 1 en un rango de 30 a 252.
Ajustar el tempo de acuerdo a la canción
Pulse el botón TAP varias veces de acuerdo al
tempo de la canción que se va a tocar. El metróno-
mo detecta el intervalo de las pulsaciones y ajusta el
tiempo en consonancia. (tempo por pulsación).
CONSEJO Si el tempo detectado es inferior a 30, se
ajusta en 30, y si es 252 o superior, se ajusta en 252.
CONSEJO Durante la entrada de tempo por pulsación,
en la pantalla aparece “TAP”. Si no se produce
ninguna entrada durante un determinado periodo
de tiempo, “TAP” desaparece y finaliza la entrada
de tempo por pulsación.
Especificar el valor de tiempo de compás
Pulse el botón BEAT/NOTE o para especificar
el valor de tiempo de compás. En la pantalla
aparece “ ” a tiempo con el valor de tiempo de
compás seleccionado.
Especificar el sonido del metrónomo
Pulse el botón VOICE SELECT para especificar el
sonido del metrónomo.
Seleccione un sonido de metrónomo entre VOICE 1
y 8 de acuerdo a su instrumento o según necesite.

Ajustar el temporizador
En el modo de temporizador, el metrónomo
funciona durante el tiempo especificado y después
se apaga automáticamente.
1. Pulse el botón TIMER para acceder al modo de
temporizador.
2. Gire el dial TEMPO/CALIB (para pasos de 1
minuto) o pulse el botón BEAT/NOTE o (para
pasos de 10 segundos) para especificar la cantidad
de tiempo que estará en funcionamiento el metróno-
mo. El tiempo se puede ajustar en un rango de 1 a
120 minutos.
3. Pulse el botón START/STOP para iniciar el
metrónomo y la cuenta regresiva del temporizador.
Si se pulsa el botón START/STOP mientras el
temporizador y el metrónomo están funcionando en
modo de temporizador, el temporizador se pone en
pausa y el metrónomo se para.
CONSEJO
Para comprobar la cantidad de tiempo que queda
durante el funcionamiento, pulse el botón TIMER. Si pulsa el
botón START/STOP mientras el temporizador está funcionan-
do, se pondrá en pausa solo el temporizador. Pulse el botón
TIMER otra vez para finalizar el modo de temporizador.
CONSEJO Para volver al tiempo fijado, pulse el botón TAP
mientras el temporizador se encuentra en pausa.
CONSEJO Al llegar al último minuto, la pantalla de tiempo
cambia de minutos a segundos.
4. Una vez transcurrido el tiempo especificado, el
metrónomo se para automáticamente y finaliza el
modo de temporizador.
Modo de Salida de Sonido
Pulse el botón SOUND para acceder al modo de salida
de sonido. Se generará un sonido que servirá como
guía de afinación. Para volver al modo de metrónomo,
pulse el botón SOUND en el modo de salida de sonido.
Especificar el tono acústico
Pulse el botón BEAT/NOTE o para especificar
el tono acústico (nombre de la nota).
Afine el instrumento utilizando el sonido emitido
(tono acústico de referencia).

ただくためにも、取扱説明書をよくお読みになっ
て 、正 し い 方 法 で ご 使 用 く だ さ い 。
電池の入れ方
ＫＤＭ-3の底面にある電池ケース蓋を開けて、極
性に注意して電池を入れます。
付属の電池は動作確認用のため、通常より
寿命が短い場合があります。
TIP 各設定値は電源を切っても記憶しています。
すべての設定を工場出荷時の値に戻すには、
TAPボタンを押しながら、STANDBY/ONボタ
ンを押して電源を入れます。
電源を入れる
STANDBY/ONボタンを押して、電源を入れます。
電源を切るときは、ディスプレイの表示が消える
までSTANDBY/ONボタンを押します。
メトロノームが停止した状態で20分間経過すると、自
動的に電源が切れます（オート・パワー・オフ機能）。
ヘ ッド ホ ン の 接 続
PHONES端子に市販の3.5mmステレオ・ミニ・プ
ラグのヘッドホンを接続し、使用することができま
す。このときはスピーカーからは音が出ません。
スピーカーまたはヘッドホンの音量は、VOLUME
（ボリューム）で調節できます。

TAPボタンを演奏する曲にあわせたタイミングで数
回押します。押された間隔を検知し、テンポとして
設 定 さ れ ま す（ タップ・テ ン ポ 入 力 ）。
TIP 検知したテンポが30以下の場合はテンポ30と

拍子の設定

VOICE SELECTボタンを押して、メトロノーム音の

タイマーの設定
タイマ ー・モ ードで は 、設 定し た時 間 だ けメトロノー
ムが動作し、自動的に停止させることができます。
1.
TIMERボタンを押すとタイマー・モードに入り
ます。
2.
TEMPO/CALIBダイヤル（1分単位）、または
BEAT/NOTE▲、▼ボタン（ 10分単位）で動作時
間を設定します。1 ～ 120分までの範囲で設定で
きます。
3. START/STOPボタンを押すと、メトロノームと
タイマーのカウントが始まります。動作中に、再度
START/STOPボタンを押すと、タイマーが一時停
止しメトロノームも止まります。
TIP 動作中にタイマーの残りの時間を確認するに
は、TIMERボタンを押します。このとき、START/
STOPボタンを押すとタイマーだけが一時停止しま
す。再度TIMERボタンを押すと、タイマー・モード
が終了します。
TIP タイマーが一時停止中にTAPボタンを押すと、
設 定した 時 間 に戻ります 。
TIP 1分を切ると、秒 単 位の表示に切り替わります。
4. 設定した時間が経過すると、自動的にメトロノー
ムが停止し、

サ ウ ンド ア ウト ・ モ ード
メトロノーム・モードでSOUNDボタンを押すとサ
ウンドアウト・モードに入り、チューニング時のガイ
ドになる音が出力されます。サウンドアウト・モー
ドでSOUNDボタンを押すとメトロノーム・モード
に入ります。
出力する音の設定
BEAT/NOTE▲、▼ボタンを押して、チューニン
グした い音 名 を 設 定します 。
出力される音（基準音）に合わせて、楽器をチュー
ニングします。
基準ピッチの設定 （キャリブレ ー ション ）
