The control unit is designed to operate electric sauna heaters produced by various manufacturers.
The control unit is designed to set and adjust the following electric heater operating parameters:
switch-on time, operating temperature, and time of operation. Depending on the pre-set parameters,
the control unit automatically switches on the electric heater, heats it up, maintains the required
temperature, and switches the heater off.
Design and operation
The control unit comprises a control box, a switching unit with a built-in power supply, and a
temperature sensor.
The control unit and switching unit are installed outside of the steam room and connected together
by a cable. The temperature sensor is installed inside the steam room and connected to the switching
unit with a heat-resistant wire.
Using the control unit, the user can set the temperature, time of operation, and the time when the
electric heater will switch off.
The control unit has the following modes:
- Stand-by mode
- Electric heater operating parameters adjustment mode
- Operation mode
In the operation mode, the control unit ensures the following electric heater operating conditions:
Heating of the steam room. In this mode, the electric heater's tubular heating elements are
continuously on until a pre-set steam room temperature is reached. The “Power” indicator on the
control box's faceplate is lit red.
Maintaining the temperature. When the pre-set temperature is reached, the tubular heating elements
switch off and the control unit goes into the temperature maintaining mode. In this mode, the control
box monitors the steam room temperature using the temperature sensor. When the actual
temperature is 3 °C lower than the pre-set temperature, the tubular heating elements switch on and
the temperature rises to the pre-set value.
The temperature maintaining mode lasts until the electric heater is switched off.
When the electric heater's pre-set time of operation elapses, the control unit switches the tubular
heating elements off, and the control box goes into the standby mode.
To switch off the control unit, press the encoder knob and hold it for 2 seconds.
