WARNING
This is a sophisticated hobby product and is NOT a toy. It must be operated with caution and common
sense and requires some basic mechanical ability. Making modifications to your KV5 not specified in this
manual may void the warranty and cause your vehicle to malfunction. KV5 is a remote control vehicle
operated by radio frequencies. Please be aware of radio interference in your area or you may lose
reception. Always be aware of your surroundings while driving KV5. We highly recommend using a Kill
Switch which can be purchased from davesmotors.com. A Kill Switch will allow you to "kill" your engine
remotely should you lose control of the vehicle. Not for Children under 14 years.
ENGINES
Engines and some electronic components can become hot while in use. Do not touch parts until cool.
Should any compatibility questions exist, please refer to the product instructions, the component
instructions or contact Kraken RC.
BATTERIES AND FUEL
Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using and disposing of any fuel or batteries.
Mishandling or improper storage may result in fire, causing serious injury or damage.
ATTENTION
Please read this manual in its entirety and observe applicable suggestions and recommendations.
Failure to operate the product correctly may result in damage to the product, personal property and
cause serious injury.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
VEKTA.5 (KV5) is recommended only for professional or advanced RC drivers. The KV5 uses a
2 stroke high-capacity engine. Please be advised that the engine may be hot during its operation
and all caution should be exercised for safety reasons. Failure to follow all instructions can lead
to damage to your vehicle, property damage and bodily injury or death.
• Never run your vehicle on the street where people are present
• Exercise common sense when using gasoline (petrol)
• Keep away from children
• Invest in a Kill Switch
• KV5 battery box is not waterproof! Avoid running the KV5 in water or wet conditions
• Never run your vehicle with low transmitter batteries
• Invest in a high quality radio transmitter
• Always turn off engine first, then receiver, then transmitter
• Inspect your vehicle after each run and perform routine maintenance on the vehicle when necessary

LIMITED WARRANTY

What this Warranty Covers
Kraken RC warrants to the original purchaser that the product purchased (the “Product”) will be free from
defects in materials and workmanship at the date of purchase
What is Not Covered
This warranty is not transferable and does not cover (i) cosmetic damage, (ii) damage due to acts of
God, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial use, or due to improper use, installation,
operation or maintenance, (iii) modification of or to any part of the Product, (iv) attempted service
by anyone other than a Kraken RC authorized dealer, (v) Product not purchased from an
authorized Kraken RC dealer, (vi) Product not compliant with applicable technical regulations, or
(vii) use that violates any applicable laws, rules, or regulations.
OTHER THAN THE EXPRESS WARRANTY ABOVE, KRAKEN RC MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY
OR REPRESENTATION, AND HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES,
INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF NONINFRINGEMENT,
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE PURCHASER
ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THEY ALONE HAVE DETERMINED THAT THE PRODUCT WILL
SUITABLY MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE PURCHASER’S INTENDED USE.
Purchaser’s Remedy
Kraken RC’s sole obligation and purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedy shall be that Kraken RC
will, at its option, either (i) service, or (ii) replace, any Product determined by Kraken RC to be
defective. Kraken RC reserves the right to inspect any and all Product(s) involved in a warranty
claim. Service or replacement decisions are at the sole discretion of Kraken RC. Proof of purchase
is required for all warranty claims. SERVICE OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS
WARRANTY IS THE PURCHASER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY.
Limitation of Liability
KRAKEN RC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS OR PRODUCTION OR COMMERCIAL
LOSS IN ANY WAY, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH CLAIM IS BASED IN CONTRACT,
WARRANTY, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY OR ANY OTHER THEORY OF LIABILITY,
EVEN IF KRAKEN RC HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Further, in no event shall the liability of Kraken RC exceed the individual price of the Product on
which liability is asserted. As Kraken RC has no control over use, setup, final assembly, modification
or misuse, no liability shall be assumed nor accepted for any resulting damage or injury. By the act
of use, setup or assembly, the user accepts all resulting liability. If you as the purchaser or user are
not prepared to accept the liability associated with the use of the Product, purchaser is advised to
return the Product immediately in new and unused condition to the place of purchase.
Law
These terms are governed by California law (without regard to conflict of law principals.) This
warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to
state. Kraken RC reserves the right to change or modify this warranty at any time without notice.

The VEKTA.5TT is a PRO KIT version that
requires assembly. Listed below are additional
parts required to finish the kit. Some basic tools
are also included along with your kit.

1. Engine (29-32cc)
2. Radio Transmitter & Receiver
3. 2 Large Scale RC Servos
4. Gas
5. Two Stroke Oil
6. 4 AA Batteries
7. 2S LIPO Battery (7.4V) or NiMH (6V)

KRAKEN RC ASSEMBLY SYMBOLS
Use Blue Threadlock Use Blue for areas that would require easier removal.
Use Loctite 638 Bearing Retainer Compound.
Observe Proper Orientation - Pay attention to the symbol and direction for proper parts installation.
Apply Grease - Apply included green grease to the specified area.
Fill Or Apply Silicone Oil - Fill or apply included Silicone Oil to the specified area.
Caution - Pay extra attention when this symbol is seen.Car may be inoperable if installed incorrectly.
2 Sets Are Needed - To complete the kit, 2 sets are needed.
4 Sets Are Needed - To complete the kit, 4 sets are needed.
The kit is composed of different marked bags. Each bag contains all necessary components to complete
a particular section of the kit. It is essential that you follow the sequence of the marked bags.
Compare screws, nuts, bolts, and etc to the 1:1 “Actual Size” drawings on the left side of each assembly
step. To check a part, hold it against the silhouette until the correct part is identified.
FOR EXAMPLE:
Blue and Red Threadlocks are not included in the kit. We recommend using only high quality branded
ones such as Loctite 262 for Red and Loctite 242 for Blue.
Tip: We highly recommend using Loctite 638 Bearing Retainer Compound when installing bearings to
the transmission.
Use Red Threadlock Use Red for areas that would require a stronger bond.
