B ZEBRA Function
.
The ZEBRA lowers your electricity bill, prolongs the life of your electrical equipment and ensures less
useless heat loss.
About an innovative amplitude reduction the ZEBRA will also reduce your electricity consumption
between 5-20% and that for many years. Thus, the system retract after 1-3 years payback period, the
investment return and the higher electricity prices rise, the faster this.
Check prior to installation whether you really need a ZEBRA for each phase.
Small apartments are partly. Installed with a phase and therefore need only one ZEBRA and ask your
installer.
The ZEBRA is marketed in Germany can only buy through selected distributors.

- Very long service life
- Reduction of waste heat, longer equipment runtimes
- Reduction of electric power peaks
- Constant power supply, increase operational reliability
- Short payback periods (8 to 52 months) for your return of invest

- 5 -
B 2 ZEBRA Applications
Fields of application:
- Production and industrial enterprises as well as in warehouses
- supermarkets
- boutiques
- petrol stations
- Generic. salesrooms
- Car dealers and garages
- Agricultural production facilities
- Water treatment plants
- Supermarkets, refrigerated warehouses and stores
- Administrative buildings, hotels and restaurants
- Small workshops
- Schools and sports facilities, indoor pool and outdoor pools

- 6 -
B 3 ZEBRA Amortization (ROI)
The payback period significantly shortened if:
1. Your systems are busy 24 hours a day
2. The power curve during the day is relatively constant
3. You have low annual power consumption increases
4. Your system runs through the whole year

C Safety
These warnings apply to all persons who work on the ZEBRA.
WARNING!
Ignoring the following instructions can cause serious injury or death,
installation and maintenance of ZEBRA must be carried out by qualified personnel.
• Do not work on or ZEBRA its input and output cables when the ZEBRA is connected to the mains.
Imagine carrying out work inside the Zebra 'sure the bear, hazardous voltages.
(Main switch = off ,fuses remove etc.)
- Unlocking the power
- Secure against reconnection
- Ensure that no voltage run when voltage is applied to the ZEBRA
- Do no work on the cables by the ZEBRA, because it can be a dangerous voltage even after
Removing the supply / discharge because capacitors are built into the device.
- Live parts inside the housing are protected against direct contact when all protective covers
are mounted in plastic and metal. When handling sharp metal covers special attention is necessary.
WARNING!
Do not open the case. There is danger to life and the possibility of system damage.
The connection of Zebra 'may only be carried out by qualified personnel. (Z. B. electrician or master)

F Mechanical Installation
The ZEBRA must be mounted with the pre-assembled mounting fixture (eyes) on the wall / support.
(4 Pieces)
The instrument is designed and adapted exclusively for fixed cultivation and not for mobile purposes.
Look for a dry and solid mounting location that does not exceed the allowable temperature.
Pay attention to free access and departure of the ventilation fans of Zebra '.

F5 Information signs on ZEBRA
The power cables of Zebra ca have even after the shutdown a dangerous voltage.
Wait at least 5 minutes and secure non-insulated from contact with people.

- 12 -
G Electrical Installation
Electrical Installation
• Depending on the external and internal wiring, it can be a rest on the cable of Zebra with
dangerous Voltage.
• The zebra and adjoining equipment to definitely reasons of Personal safety and to reduce
electromagnetic interference and radiations are grounded.
• Zebra´s don´t be connected in series.
• There is sufficient clearance for ventilation opening from the inlet and outlet of the Zebra adhered
to by at least 15cm.
• Switch off the complete power, before you start the installation and the electrical connection of the
ZEBRA`s.
Caution:
Depending on the level of the ambient temperature and / or for reducing the load of the internal built-in
fan can be activated by the controller. The fan noises are accordingly more or less loud audible and
part of the normal operation of Zebra '.

- 13 -
G1 ZEBRA Connection
A ZEBRA is connected with a 3 x 10qmm + PE supply.
Warning:
After a faulty connection no function guarantees or warranty claims can be accepted.
If necessary, can be done by an injury. The certificate of conformity loses its validity
in this case also.
Assignment is done from left to right!
T1
Phase from Grid (EVU)
T2
Phase to the circuit breaker, consumers etc.
N
Neutral conductor
PE
Grounding

- 14 -
G2 ZEBRA Integration
The connection of a Zebra 'is carried out for each phase between the residual current circuit breaker
and the circuit breaker.
• It must be ensured that ensures the selectivity of the fuses.
• The exposure is funded each ZEBRA on the existing FI and personal protection work.
• There must be sure, that no time overloading the Zebra '(<15kW).
• If three-phase motors are connected in the network, so are basically 3 Zebra to install.
concept:

- 15 -
For example of the integration of 1 x ZEBRA for phase L1
After properly installing and connecting:
- The supply to T1
- Discharges T2
- The neutral conductor (N)
- The PE (ground)
- Close the ZEBRA housing
- Identification of the activated phase on ZEBRA (sticker on ZEBRA)
Now the ZEBRA can be activated by switching the main fuse.

- 16 -
G3 ZEBRA Photovoltaic etc.
Is a photovoltaic system or another power generation system on the grid, configure the flow of energy
from this producer to the EVU by the ZEBRA must not be interrupted.
Install in this case, the ZEBRA behind the feed point of the power generator in the direction of the
point of consumption.

G4 ZEBRA Menu
After switching on the voltage within about 5 seconds the ZEBRA boot automatically and is then
ready for use. The user can display several readings on the display, or by pressing the "Test" button
initiates the calculation of the energy-saving potential in addition.
Caution:
By starting the saving routine ("Test" key) are performed various voltage reductions
at the output of Zebra 'and leads to more Changes in the mains voltage.
These power fluctuations are used for automatic calculation of Zebra and
are noticeable only during the calculation phase (about 5 minutes).

The result shown is only partially usable, because it only calculates the savings in the
measurement phase.
It may therefore differ materially from the real savings.

G5 ZEBRA Phase identification
After you install a Zebra you must characterize by a black waterproof pen the corresponding phase,
in which the zebra was integrated.
There remains only the identifier L1 or L2 or L3 on ZEBRA readable.
