Model KS-X1200 LiFePo 30A 12V Lithium Battery Charger
(For LiFePo4 lithium iron phosphate batteries only)
General:
WARNING: This charger is designed for indoor use only. Never expose this product to rain or wet
conditions.
Lithium batteries must not be charged below 0 degrees Celsius. Batteries must have an integral or
attached BMS only. Recharge discharged lithium batteries immediately. Ensure batteries have a
stated nominal charge voltage between 14.2 to 14.6 volts only. The charger may charge any size (Ah)
battery bank providing it does not exceed the manufacturers maximum recommended charge
current. If in doubt always consult the battery manufacturer.
Make sure you are using correct AC line voltage and all plugs and sockets are in good order. Do not
attempt to use the charger if it has been dropped or damaged. Never attempt to charge a damaged
battery or lead battery with this charger. The battery charger should be kept away from heat
sources. If the battery charger does not work properly, do not attempt a to repair it or open the
case. There are very high internal voltages present even when the unit has been unplugged. Before
charging, check the battery type and maximum charging voltage allowed. Or, get this information
from battery supplier. Ensure the vents are kept clear for the cooling fan to function unimpeded.

Charging Instructions:
Warning: HIGH CURRENT at low voltage! VERY IMPORTANT: Avoid charging batteries
leaving the terminal bolts “loose”. Fully tighten the bolts first to avoid contact resistance
between the crocodile clips, the bolts, and the internal threads of battery poles. Overheating
of terminal posts/bolts may result in damage and can be a fire hazard. Always ensure the
terminals are tightened fully down before charging.
Before charging, please connect the charger's alligator clips to battery: the "red" clip
connects to the POSITIVE pole and the "black" connects to the NEGATIVE pole. After,
connecting, connect the mains input power plug to the power supply.
The charger applies the intelligent charging method of constant current and then constant
voltage. The charger will automatically shut off when battery is fully charged, and no further
charging will take place.
Unplug the input of the power supply then disconnect the output clips. When charger is not
in use or finished charging, be sure to unplug input power supply.
Indictor LED instruction:
"Charging" indicator shows "red" under normal charging state. It turns into "Green" when the
battery is fully charged, the battery can be put into use at this time. The charging voltage of
this charger limits at 14.6V and the shut-off current is <0.3A.
