965X QUICK START965X QUICK START
Load Door Job from Library
965X Quick Ref 1
1. Select the Libraries Tab at the upper let side of the screen
2. Select the Door Job Libray Tab at the upper center screen
3. At the Door Job List double click the desired door job to go
to the Door Job screen
Verify Door Job
Add Jambs to Queue
Verify the Door Job specii-
cations. Look for validation
errors.
Note: For more information about Libraries,
see the KvalCam Manual.
1. Enter the quantiy of door to be processed in the Door
Qy box at the botom of the screen
2. Select the Add to Queue Buton
Before Processing a Jamb
Home the machine (Impotant: Homing sets a stating
reference point for the machine.)
1. Select the Jamb Suppot Block: Choose the pre-
determined numbered block to match the jamb
syle.
2. Select the Jamb Stop Reference: Select the
Jamb Stop placement, Jamb End or Dado.
Process a Jamb
1. Extend Clamps: Extend the Door Clamps and Door Stops,
select the Jamb Stop Foot Pedal or Toggle Stop buton at the
Main screen.
2. Load Jamb: Load the jamb onto the machine Jamb Shelf.
3. Align Jamb: Align the jamb to the Jamb Stop and the Up-
Clamp. Make sure the it is tight.
4. Clamp: Secure the Jamb. Select the Jamb Clamp Foot Ped-
al or Toggle Clamp. Warning: Keep Hands away from the
Clamps.
5. Start Sequence: Stat cuting by pressing the Stat Se-
quence buton or by selecting the Stat Sequence buton at
the Main screen. Exit the Cuting area within 3 seconds.
6. Continue or End: If continuing processing the jamb, select
the Next Group buton, reposition the jamb, and repeat Steps
1-5 above. If completed with this jamb, remove jamb and con-
tinue to next the jamb. If ending the process, park the Cuter
Head.

Power-Down
Power-UP
Verify Area is safe, power and air are applied,
E-Stops are out and Fence Gates are closed.
1. Turn the Electrical Disconnect to the ON
position on the Electrical Cabinet.
2. Turn the Control Circuit Switch to the
ON position. (Approximately 3 minute
boot-up)
3. Push the Stat buton.
4. Home the machine
All Tower Lights Should be Green. See reverse side
for Tower Light Description.
1. Park the Cuter Head
2. Right click the KVAL icon at the taskbar.
Select Exit from the drop down menu
Make sure Window is shutdown before
cuting o power to the machine.
3. Turn the Control Circuit Switch to the
OFF position.
4. Turn the Electrical Disconnect to the
OFF position on the Electrical Cabinet.

OR
Ater Stat Sequence, the operator must exit the cuting
area beyond the Safey Light Cutain within 3 seconds. If not
exited, the Stat Sequence will cancel. To restat, press the
Stat Sequence again and exit the cuting area within the 3
second rule.
Shape Location and Extent (Size) of Shape :
→Click location to toggle beween digital and fraction
display.
→Extent is the lenth of the shape of the cut
→Click location title to display reference of Jamb Stop to
top edge of cut or Jamb Stop to center of cut.
→Grey Background: Not used or Next Group

OFF (Clear): Machine not in operation.
White: Initializing
1 Flash: Waiting for all systems to initialize
Red: Machine Error
Solid: General Error
• 1 Flash: EtheCat Device not Ready to Run
• 2 Flashes: VFD, Sevo, or Motor Error
• 3 Flashes: 24 VDC Power Error
Yellow: External Error
Solid: General Error
• 1 Flash: 3 Phase Voltage Error
• 2 Flashes: Low Air Error
Blue: Operator Status
Solid: Waiting for Operator
• 1 Flash: Reposition Door
Green: Machine is Operational
Safey
OFF (Clear): Safey Project not Running
Red: Safey PLC Error
Blue: Waiting for Safey Re-Set
• Solid: General Error
• Flashing: Not Ready to Re-Stat (E- Stop Switch is Active)
Green: Machine is Operational
Control Power
O: No Control Power
ON (Green): 24 VDC Control Power ON
About the Light Tower
High Voltage may cause injury or death.
Troubleshooting checks must be performed
by a Qualied Electrical Technician.
The Light Tower indicates the working status of the system. The
Light Tower is mounted on top of the Electrical Boxes. Each light dis-
plays dierent colors and lashing codes to show the machine status.
The table below describes the dierent states of the Light Tower.

Tools Needed for machine hardware troubleshooting:
• Access to a broadband internet connection
• An iPhone or Android smat-phone (We use Apple FaceTime or
Google Duo for video)
• A DMM
• A standard tool set
For machine soware troubleshooting:
• Access to a broadband internet connection
• A computer running Windows
• Our remote suppot client
Allow Kval to Logon to the Machine
• Exit the KvalCAM program. On the
Windows Screen, select the KVAL

→Yellow - Dado Cut
→White -Standard Cut (Hinge , Lock)
→Red - Trim Cut
→Roll mouse over the doted line to display proper-
ties of cut.
