Fuel
The appliance is esigne for combustion of soli fuel:
- recommen e fuel is ecological woo en briquette (max. iameter 90 mm, weight 2 kg).
- the appliance also enables burning of other kin s of soli fuel (woo – logs with max. iameter
190 mm an length 450 mm, woo en briquettes, brown coal briquettes, brown coal blocks 40
mm). However the operating con itions an parameters of the appliance may iffer from those
with the recommen e fuel. Please note that the technical characteristics given above were
base on a test woo fuel sample an using other fuel types will alter these characteristics,
energy output, fuel consumption, flue raught etc.
Make sure that the fuel is ry. It is not recommen e to burn high-calorific fuels, which re uce the
service life of the appliance.
Grate, Grating
The purpose of the grate is allowing the burne fuel to fall to the ashtray, which increases the
supply of combustion (primary) air to the combustion chamber. It is one by means of the poker
with the combustion chamber oor open.
After the en of each operation (an cooling own) it is possible to grip the grate lever to move the
grate back an forth. To remove the pieces which are too big to fall through, rotate the grate a few
times by means of this lever.
Air Supply C ntr l
Controlling the supply of primary combustion air is enable by means of the air rose, which is a
part of the ashtray oor. Turning the rose by means of the rose han le enables precise control of
air to the combustion chamber an thus alters the spee of fuel combustion (energy output of the
appliance).
The secon ary combustion air supply can be controlle by means of a lever on the front part of
the appliance (Drawing 1, point 13). Air supply is opene (flap is opene ) by movement of the
lever towar s to the front si e of appliance an it is close (the flap is close ) by movement from
the front si e. Movements lock on the lever by neck.
During the operation of the appliance the supply of the combustion air must be maintaine , the air
supply inlet must not become blocke . Mechanical ventilation/ air extraction must not be use in
the room where the appliance is place , unless there is provi e sufficient air supply for
ventilation. Ventilation levels are provi e in your local buil ing regulations. It is a vise to check
ventilation issues with your local buil ing control office to ensure trouble free operation.
The Ash Extracting D r (Drawing 1, p int 6 – Sweeping d r)
When the cooker has been in operation for some time, soot will collect in the cooker parts of the
raught system (especially where coal has been use ). This will eventually affect the raught an
may create problems while lighting the fire. It will also make operation of the cooker less
economical, especially when cooking in the oven.
In the course of cleaning take off the hob top plates, then remove the soot first from the si es
of the oven walls. Clean all the remove eposits through the ash extracting slot situate un er
the oven oor. This can be one simply by using amp newspaper, for example.

Appliance h b-t p panel (variants)
1) The stan ar s panel consists of two parts (Drawing 2):
Plate I. – a cast iron range hob with a roun removable centre plate locate irectly un er
the fire box. This plate is meant for fast cooking
Plate II. – a steel hob is locate above the oven. This plate maintains a lower temperature
an thus can be use for slower cooking, simmering an keeping foo warm.
2) The single-piece groun steel finish hob-top panel.
3) The single-piece glass an ceramic panel.
You shoul always use pots with flat bases.

Igniti n Flap (Drawing 3)
Is place below the range an controlle by means of the lever locate at the rear of the range
frame. It has the following operating mo es:
Open position – Ignition an
intensive cooking
throughout the entire range area I.+II.
(Flap open)
Close position – Baking in the oven an
Cooking on the Plate I.
(Flap close )
Drawing 3
Following ignition, after the fire has caught, close the ignition flap an operate the appliance with
the ignition flap close . This will influence the flow of flue-gas an increase the efficiency of the
appliance.

TYPE 9112 07/2014 7
When you are firing the appliance for the first time, ensure sufficient ventilation of the room, until
the protective coatings have completely burne off. Once satisfie that that the coatings are no
longer present the cooker is safe to use for the purpose of cooking foo .
Before ignition open the furnace oor an check if the grate is clean. Take twists of paper, lay out
tiny chips of ry soft woo on it, then lay larger pieces of ry woo on the chips an then light the
paper. Special matches are available to carry out this operation at a istance from the flame.
Before ignition open the ignition flap (Drawing 3). Open the air supply un er the grate through the
air rose to the maximum an also the secon ary air supply.
After the fuel is ignite close the combustion chamber oor an when the fuel burns through,
stoke up. After a layer of burning embers is forme you can a more fuel in batches. Make sure
not to extinguish the fire by a ing excessive amounts of fuel too quickly.
Gra ually prolong the intervals of stoking, so that the final interval is once an hour. The average
fuel consumption is 2 kg of fuel per hour. A ing of fuel shall be one manually or by means of a
suitable shovel. Full combustion can be visually easily checke : no heavy smoke can be seen
rising from the chimney (except the time imme iately after stoking up).
If you a half the amount of fuel every thirty minutes an perform grating at the same time, the
combustion performance will improve.
The appliance output can be controlle by the supply of air un er the grate an by the amount
an type of fuel. When operating the appliance at the rate thermal output an burning woo , the
primary air supply shall be opene to approx. 20 %, the secon ary air supply close . From time to
time clean the grate by means of the poker. If the appliance emits smoke into the room uring
stoking up, close the air supply. Do not overheat the appliance by too intensive stoking up an
grating!
The entire combustion chamber can be fille with fuel. Make sure that the fuel oes not fall out of
the combustion chamber uring stoking up. In case of ba raught or weather con itions use
smaller woo logs.
Recommen ations for setting of stabilisation operation:
Lay 2 or 3 pieces of ecological woo en briquettes or woo en log of 190 mm iameter an 450 mm
length on the bottom burning layer. Close both the primary an secon ary air supply. With these
settings the appliance shoul keep burning for up to 3 hours.
C king n the Appliance H b T p
The range above the combustion chamber is esigne for fast cooking. With the escribe set
operation, 2 litres of water in a pot with flat bottom of a iameter of 180 cm with a li shoul start
boiling in 15 minutes.
During cooking watch out for boiling over. If it happens, remove as much of the spillage
imme iately an when finishe cooking clean the remain er using a amp towel, etergent an
finally using a ry towel. If the irt bakes in, it is more ifficult to remove later. From time to time
( epen ing on the frequency of operation) wipe the range own with vegetable oil.
In the area above the oven the range has a lower temperature - this part of the range is suitable
for slow cooking an for keeping foo war. Use pots with a flat bottom for best results.

Baking and R asting
If you want to bake in the appliance, the oven has to be sufficiently heate an thermally
stabilise . Use smaller ry logs for fast firing of the oven. Set the ignition flap to the “baking”
position.
A typical baking temperature is reache in approx. 15 minutes. However, we recommen that you
start baking after half an hour to an hour, when the appliance is warme -through evenly an the
temperature in the oven is stable an even.
For roasting of joints of meat we recommen achieving a stabilise temperature in ication on the
oven oor thermometer between 170°C an 200°C. A typical roasting time woul be 1 ½ to 2
hours.
For baking pastry an cakes we recommen the temperature in icator on the oven oor is
stabilise between 145°C an 170°C. The time of baking is typically from 20 to 40 minutes.
To ensure even baking/ roasting we recommen turning the tray aroun halfway through the
cooking process.
If you want to re uce the intensity of baking (e.g. for rying of fruits), use an empty tray as a shiel
form below or from above.
When taking out the tray with foo , you must not lay it on the cooking range hob. The temperature
of the cooking range hob is much higher than that of the oven an the foo coul easily boil over
or burn. We also o not recommen laying the tray with foo on the open oven oor.
The baking accessory of the appliance is esigne for short-time contact with foo . The short-time
contact shoul not excee 4 hours for rinks an 48 hours for foo of soli or pasty consistence.

TYPE 9112 07/2014 9
Cleaning f the Furnace and Flue Paths
To maintain optimum, problem-free performance of the appliance it is necessary to clean it
regularly. Cleaning of the fire box must always be one with the appliance out of operation.
If igniting the combustion chamber after a longer interruption of operation, it is necessary to check
that flue paths, flue ucts an chimneys are not blocke an no obstructions are present. Regular
maintenance shoul be carrie out once a year by a service engineer.
Remove unburne remnants from the grate by means of the trowel an poker. To rop larger
pieces of unburne fuel to the ashtray, pull out the grate lever an turn it to the right. Cleaning of
the inner walls of the appliance ( raught system) an inner housing of the oven shall be one as
follows:
Remove the range hob to get access to the irty surfaces insi e, from which you can sweep the
soot easily own to the bottom of the appliance. From there you can sweep them into the ashtray
through the sweeping hole. Once clean put the range hob back ensuring that in ivi ual parts fit
tightly an seal perfectly.
Outer surfaces cleaning
Clean the appliance after cooling.
• Enamelle surfaces shoul be cleane with a amp cloth or sponge, an then polishe to
ryness. With higher pollution you can use etergents.
• It is important to protect the hob from water to avoi corrosion. Clean them only when they
are ry. If you use a amp cloth with etergent when cleaning the hob, the hob shoul be
rie when finishe . From time to time we recommen greasing the hob with a thin layer of
vegetable fat.
• During oven cleaning, o not use sharp objects to remove foo waste. Moisten them before
removing with a brush an wiping with a cloth, or alternatively, a suitable cleaning agent for
the removal of heavy impurities an accretions may be use .
The appliance cannot be lit: -inspect the flue ways, flue gas uct an chimney
-check the Ignition flap, circular air gri , fire place oor an ash
tray
Overheate appliance -put out of service, o not stoke, close the air gri , let fire burn
out
Fire in the chimney - o not use water to extinguish the fire
-close all of the air intakes, cover the chimney if possible
-contact a qualifie chimney sweep service
-contact the manufacturer or your supplier

Base on the esign solution an the use to which the appliance will be put, this soli fuel
appliance must be installe into an environment which was efine as or inary environment (for
example by stan ar ČSN 33 2000-3:1995 – Environment stan ar of the Czech Republic).
Requirements for combustion air supply will be met if the appliance is installe in a room with a
minimum volume of 20 m3. Accor ing to nee , the appliance operation or in combination with the
contemporary operation of other heat equipment in the room, a itional ventilation may be
necessary. In cases where angerous situations may arise, such as the temporary formation of
combustible gases an works which may cause a fire to start (potentially explosive), the appliance
shoul be put out of service (by closing the combustion chamber oor the fuel will be allowe to
burn out on the grate). If combustion, venting an heating air control louvers are use , it is
necessary to place them is such a way that clogging cannot occur.
Appliance c nnecti n t the chimney
A flue (exhaust) branch is installe to an outlet on the appliance (rear, si es, an top – through
the hob-top). The installation is carrie out in such a way that a ring is applie to the internal si e
of the appliance, which connects with the external flue branch, an they are mutually screwe
together moving in the opposite irection.
In case you use a si e outlet, it is first necessary to unscrew the si e part, from which we
ismantle the top cover of the hole, apply the blanking cap to close the rear outlet, replace the
si e part an screw it close .
With the use of the top outlet (through the hob-top) it is necessary to remove the blanking cap an
to attach the flue branch – without the ring, an use the elivere blank cover to close the rear
outlet.
A chimney with a sufficient raught is absolutely essential for correct appliance operation. We
rec mmend the chimney with height f 5 meters and diameter f 160 mm. Try to connect the
appliance using the shortest route. Flue gas ucting ma e of sheet-metal tubes consists of
several sections an longer than 2,000 mm shall be firmly anchore . The entire set shall be
mutually, firmly an tightly connecte in the raught irection (in ivi ual overlaps must be a
minimum of 80 mm). An existing chimney flue shall be provi e with an approve liner flue that
correspon s to the exhaust flue iameter.
Connection of the appliance to the chimney shoul comply with the in ivi ual national regulations
at place of installation an use (for example ČSN 73 4201:2008 Stan ar of the Czech Republic).
The chimney shall be issue with a certificate (revision report) given by a respective authority
(chimney sweeping agency). The appliance shoul be installe in such a way that a equate
access can be provi e for cleaning of the flue ucting an the chimney. In assembly, it is
necessary to observe the principles of fire safety (for example accor ing to the ČSN 06 1008:1998
Stan ar of the Czech Republic).
The c ker can’t be c nnected t a shared chimney (Drawing 4).
Chimneys an flue ucting to which soli fuel are connecte shall be swept 2 times or 3 times a
year – seasonal or yearlong operation (for example accor ing to the Czech governments Decree
No. 91/2010 Coll.). Routine operation, especially ue to amp fuel, soot an tar creates eposits
in the chimney. If regular inspection an chimney cleaning are omitte , the probability of a fire in
the chimney increases.
