TYPE 9112 07/2014 5
Fuel
The appliance is esigne for combustion of soli fuel:
- recommen e fuel is ecological woo en briquette (max. iameter 90 mm, weight 2 kg).
- the appliance also enables burning of other kin s of soli fuel (woo – logs with max. iameter
190 mm an length 450 mm, woo en briquettes, brown coal briquettes, brown coal blocks 40
mm). However the operating con itions an parameters of the appliance may iffer from those
with the recommen e fuel. Please note that the technical characteristics given above were
base on a test woo fuel sample an using other fuel types will alter these characteristics,
energy output, fuel consumption, flue raught etc.
Make sure that the fuel is ry. It is not recommen e to burn high-calorific fuels, which re uce the
service life of the appliance.
Grate, Grating
The purpose of the grate is allowing the burne fuel to fall to the ashtray, which increases the
supply of combustion (primary) air to the combustion chamber. It is one by means of the poker
with the combustion chamber oor open.
After the en of each operation (an cooling own) it is possible to grip the grate lever to move the
grate back an forth. To remove the pieces which are too big to fall through, rotate the grate a few
times by means of this lever.
Air Supply C ntr l
Controlling the supply of primary combustion air is enable by means of the air rose, which is a
part of the ashtray oor. Turning the rose by means of the rose han le enables precise control of
air to the combustion chamber an thus alters the spee of fuel combustion (energy output of the
appliance).
The secon ary combustion air supply can be controlle by means of a lever on the front part of
the appliance (Drawing 1, point 13). Air supply is opene (flap is opene ) by movement of the
lever towar s to the front si e of appliance an it is close (the flap is close ) by movement from
the front si e. Movements lock on the lever by neck.
During the operation of the appliance the supply of the combustion air must be maintaine , the air
supply inlet must not become blocke . Mechanical ventilation/ air extraction must not be use in
the room where the appliance is place , unless there is provi e sufficient air supply for
ventilation. Ventilation levels are provi e in your local buil ing regulations. It is a vise to check
ventilation issues with your local buil ing control office to ensure trouble free operation.
The Ash Extracting D r (Drawing 1, p int 6 – Sweeping d r)
When the cooker has been in operation for some time, soot will collect in the cooker parts of the
raught system (especially where coal has been use ). This will eventually affect the raught an
may create problems while lighting the fire. It will also make operation of the cooker less
economical, especially when cooking in the oven.
In the course of cleaning take off the hob top plates, then remove the soot first from the si es
of the oven walls. Clean all the remove eposits through the ash extracting slot situate un er
the oven oor. This can be one simply by using amp newspaper, for example.
