Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your Wireless
HeadsetKYO100 featuring Bluetooth®wireless
technology! The Wireless HeadsetKYO100 is
comfortable and easy to use.
Bluetooth®wireless technology
Bluetooth®wireless technology is a short-distance
wireless communication technology. The range of
operation between Bluetooth®wireless technology
devices is about 33ft. (10M). Bluetooth®wireless
technology does not require line-of-sight and can
transmit through walls and other non-metal
obstacles. Thick or reinforced concrete may limit
the range.

Getting to know your Wireless HeadsetKYO100
Please refer to the following table for parts identification.

Charging the battery
The battery must first be charged for at least 2
hours prior to use. Once charged, it provides up to 7
hours talk time and up to 200 hours standby time.
1. Connect the AC Adapter to your Wireless
HeadsetKYO100.
2. Plug the AC Adapter into a wall outlet.
Note: The LED Indicator will illuminate red
while charging and turn off when charging is
complete.
3. Unplug the charger from your Wireless
HeadsetKYO100.
Pairing with a
compatible phone
Note: Ensure your phone is turned on and is within
33ft. (10M) of your Wireless HeadsetKYO100.
1. Turn on your Wireless HeadsetKYO100 by pressing
and holding the Multi Function button for
5 seconds.
2. Place your Wireless HeadsetKYO100 in pairing
mode by pressing and holding the
Volume + increase button and the
Volume - decrease button for 2 seconds.
Note: The LED Indicator will flash blue and red
during this process.
Activating the Bluetooth®
connection from your phone
1. Execute the search function on your mobile
phone to search for Bluetooth®devices. Consult
your phone user guide for specific instructions.
2. Select KYO100 from the search results list.
3. Enter the code (or passkey) 0000 to pair your
Wireless HeadsetKYO100 with your phone.
4. Your Wireless HeadsetKYO100 will beep once. The
LED Indicator will illuminate blue, indicating an
active Bluetooth®connection.
5. Your Wireless HeadsetKYO100 is now ready
for use.
Reconnecting to a
compatible phone
If your Wireless HeadsetKYO100 is out of the 33ft.
(10M) range for over 10 minutes, reactivate the
connection by pressing the Multi Function button
and the Volume + increase button for 2 seconds,
or pressing the Multi Function button and the
Volume - decrease button for 2 seconds.

Performing basic functions
Power ON
Power ON by pressing and holding the
Multi Function button for 2 seconds. Your
Wireless HeadsetKYO100 will beep and the LED
Indicator will blink blue.
Note: First time users must hold the
Multi Function button for 5 seconds.
Power OFF
Power OFF by pressing and holding the
Multi Function button for 2 seconds. Your
Wireless HeadsetKYO100 will beep and the LED
Indicator will briefly flash red.
Answer a call
Answer a call by quickly pressing the
Multi Function button.
Adjust earphone volume
Adjust earphone volume by pressing the
Volume + increase button or the
Volume - decrease button.
Hardware reset
Press and hold the Volume + increase button.
Keep pressing the button. After 2 seconds, insert
the AC Adapter. Your Wireless HeadsetKYO100 will
power OFF and will reset.
Re-dial
Re-dial the last number dialed by pressing the
Volume + increase button for 2 seconds.
Mute/unmute a call
Mute/unmute a call by pressing the Multi Function
button and the Volume + increase button
together for 2 seconds.
Reject a call
Reject a call by pressing the
Multi Function button twice.
End a call
End a call by quickly pressing the
Multi Function button.
Switch a call
Switch call from a phone to your Wireless
HeadsetKYO100 by pressing both the
Multi Function button, and the
Volume - decrease button together
for 2 seconds.
Voice Dialing
(phone dependent feature)
Activate the voice dialing feature by pressing the
Volume - decrease button for 2 seconds. A tone
will sound indicating to begin saying the voice tag.
The phone will play the voice tag and dial the
related phone number.

Important information
Maintenance
•Disconnect the charger and power OFF the
device when you clean it. Do NOT directly spray
liquid or cleansers on the surface of your
Wireless HeadsetKYO100. Spray the cleanser on
the soft cloth and then clean the device with it.
•Do not store in a dusty place or in very high
temperatures nor low temperatures.
•Do not disassemble this product, as this may
damage it.
•Avoid rough treatment such as dropping,
knocking, or shaking this product.
Battery
•When using your Wireless HeadsetKYO100 for the
first time, ensure the battery has been fully
charged for at least 2 hours.
•To avoid damaging the battery only plug the
AC Adapter into an appropriate electrical outlet.
•To avoid danger of explosion, do NOT dispose
of batteries in fire.
Power Supply
•Hold the AC adapter, not the cable, when you
remove the AC adapter from the power socket.
Cars with air bags
Do NOT place your Wireless HeadsetKYO100 on top
of an air bag or within the area an air bag can reach
when it is deployed. Doing so may cause the device
to eject and result in serious harm to the driver or
passengers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can my Wireless HeadsetKYO100 be used for all
brands of mobile phones?
A: Yes, as long as the mobile phone has built-in
Bluetooth®Voice Gateway functionality.
Q: How far is the distance between my Wireless
HeadsetKYO100 and a Bluetooth®wireless technology
enabled mobile phone?
A: The distance (without barriers) is 33ft. (10M).
Q: Can another wireless mobile phone user hear my
conversation?
A: No. Through pairing, you have created a secure
link between your mobile phone and your Wireless
HeadsetKYO100.
Q: Why is my mobile phone unable to find the
Wireless HeadsetKYO100?
A: Your mobile phone should be able to find the
Wireless HeadsetKYO100 when it is in pairing mode.
(Refer to “Pairing with a compatible phone” on
page 3 for details).
Q: Is pairing needed each time I use my
Wireless HeadsetKYO100?
A: No. The pairing information is stored in both
devices, even if one or both of them have been
turned OFF.

Q: Is it necessary to reconnect the two devices when
there is an interruption on the link between my
mobile phone and my Wireless HeadsetKYO100?
A: It varies depending on the type of mobile phone.
Some mobile phones will reconnect automatically if
both devices are within the effective distance. Some
mobile phones must be physically reconnected.
Q: Why is there noise in my Wireless HeadsetKYO100?
A: When the distance between your mobile phone
and your Wireless HeadsetKYO100 exceed the effective
distance, background noise may occur. If the signal
for your mobile phone is poor in your area, your
Wireless HeadsetKYO100 may likewise receive poor
quality reception.
Q: What can I do if my Wireless HeadsetKYO100 sound
quality is poor?
A: Try adjusting the volume of your mobile phone,
or your Wireless HeadsetKYO100. Also, check the
quality of the signal on your mobile phone in
your area.
Other instructions
Different Bluetooth®wireless technology enabled
mobile phones may have been designed in different
ways, and therefore, may function differently.
The instructions provided in this user guide may not

Kyocera Wireless Corp. (“KYOCERA”) offers you a
limited warranty that the enclosed product or products
(the “Product”) will be free from defects in material and
workmanship for a period that expires one year from
the date of sale of the Product to you, provided that you
are the original end-user purchaser of the Product and
provided that your purchase was made from an
authorized supplier. Transfer or resale of a Product will
automatically terminate warranty coverage with respect
to that Product. This limited warranty is not transferable
to any third party, including but not limited to any
subsequent purchaser or owner of the Product. This
limited warranty is applicable only to end users in the
United States and Canada.
KYOCERA shall, at its sole and absolute discretion,
either repair or replace a Product (which unit may use
refurbished parts of similar quality and functionality) if
found by KYOCERA to be defective in material or
workmanship, or if KYOCERA determines that it is
unable to repair or replace such Product, KYOCERA shall
refund the purchase price for such Product, provided
that the subject Product (i) is returned, with
transportation prepaid, to a KYOCERA authorized
service center within the one year warranty period, and
(ii) is accompanied by a proof of purchase in the form of
a bill of sale or receipted invoice which evidences that
the subject Product is within the one year warranty
period (“Proof of Purchase”). After the one year
warranty period, you must pay all shipping, parts and
labor charges.
This limited warranty does not cover and is void with
respect to the following: (i) any Product which has been
improperly installed, repaired, maintained or modified;
(ii) any Product which has been subjected to misuse
(including any Product used in conjunction with
hardware electrically or mechanically incompatible or
used with accessories not approved by KYOCERA),
abuse, accident, physical damage, abnormal operation,
improper handling, neglect, exposure to fire, water or
excessive moisture or dampness or extreme changes in
climate or temperature; (iii) any Product operated
outside published maximum ratings; (iv) cosmetic
damage; (v) any Product on which warranty stickers or
Product serial numbers have been removed, altered, or
rendered illegible; (vi) cost of installation, removal or
reinstallation; (vii) signal reception problems (unless
caused by defects in material and workmanship); (viii)
damage the result of fire, flood, acts of God or other
acts which are not the fault of KYOCERA and which the
Product is not specified to tolerate, including damage
caused by mishandling, shipping and blown fuses; (ix)
consumables (such as fuses); or (x) any Product which
has been opened, repaired, modified or altered by
anyone other than KYOCERA or a KYOCERA authorized
service center.
USE ONLY KYOCERA APPROVED ACCESSORIES WITH
KYOCERA PHONES. USE OF ANY UNAUTHORIZED
ACCESSORIES MAY BE DANGEROUS AND WILL
INVALIDATE THE PHONE WARRANTY IF SAID
ACCESSORIES CAUSE DAMAGE OR A DEFECT TO THE

Cómo cargar la batería
Primero, es necesario cargar la batería durante al
menos 2 horas. Una vez cargada, la batería

seleccione KYO100.
3. Ingrese el código (o contraseña) 0000
para conectar el Auricular InalámbricoKYO100
al teléfono.
4. El Auricular InalámbricoKYO100 emitirá un sonido.
El indicador luminoso LED se encenderá de color
azul, lo que significa que hay una conexión
Bluetooth®activa.
5. Ya puede usar el Auricular Inalámbrico KYO100.
Cómo volver a conectar el
auricular a un
teléfono compatible
Si el Auricular InalámbricoKYO100 está fuera de los
10 metros (33 pies) de alcance durante más de
10 minutos, vuelva a activar la conexión
presionando el botón de función múltiple y el
botón + subir volumen durante 2 segundos,
obienelbotón de función múltiple y el
botón - bajar volumen durante 2 segundos.

Cómo usar las funciones
básicas
Encender
Para encender, mantenga presionado el
botón de función múltiple durante 2 segundos.
El Auricular InalámbricoKYO100 emitirá un sonido y el
indicador luminoso LED emitirá una luz parpadeante
de color azul.
Nota: Se recomienda que aquellos que usen el
dispositivo por primera vez mantengan
presionado el botón de función múltiple
durante 5 segundos.
Apagar
Para apagar, mantenga presionado el
botón de función múltiple durante 2 segundos.
El Auricular InalámbricoKYO100 emitirá un sonido y el
indicador luminoso LED emitirá una luz parpadeante
de color rojo.
Contestar una llamada
Para contestar una llamada, presione rápidamente
el botón de función múltiple.
Ajustar el volumen del auricular
Para ajustar el volumen del auricular, presione
el botón + subir volumen o el - bajar volumen.
Restaurar hardware
Mantenga presionado el botón + subir volumen.
Siga presionando el botón. Después de 2 segundos,
introduzca el adaptador de CA. El Auricular
InalámbricoKYO100 se apagará y restaurará.
Volver a marcar
Para volver a marcar el último número, presione el
botón + subir volumen durante 2 segundos.
Silenciar/quitar el silencio durante
una llamada
Para silenciar o quitar el silencio durante una
llamada, presione al mismo tiempo el botón de
función múltiple y el botón + subir volumen
durante 2 segundos.
Rechazar una llamada
Para rechazar una llamada, presione el
botón de función múltiple dos veces.
Finalizar una llamada
Para finalizar una llamada, presione rápidamente el
botón de función múltiple.
Transferir una llamada
Para transferir una llamada del teléfono al Auricular
InalámbricoKYO100, presione el botón de función
múltiple y el botón - bajar volumen al mismo
tiempo durante 2 segundos.
Marcación por voz
(esta función depende del teléfono)
Para activar la función de marcación por voz,
presione el botón - bajar volumen durante
2 segundos. Un sonido le indicará cuándo puede
decir el nombre de la etiqueta de voz. El teléfono
reproducirá la etiqueta de voz y marcará el número
de teléfono asignado.

Información importante
Mantenimiento
•Desconecte el cargador y APAGUE el dispositivo
para limpiarlo. NO rocíe directamente con
líquidos o limpiadores la superficie del Auricular
InalámbricoKYO100. Coloque el limpiador en un
paño suave y luego limpie el dispositivo con él.
•No guarde el dispositivo en un lugar sucio o con
temperaturas extremas.
•No desarme el producto ya que puede dañarse.
•Trate el dispositivo con cuidado, evite los golpes
y las caídas.
Batería
•Cuando use el Auricular InalámbricoKYO100 por
primera vez, asegúrese de que la batería se haya
cargado por completo durante al menos 2 horas.
•Para evitar dañar la batería, sólo conecte el
adaptador de CA en una toma de
corriente adecuada.
•Para no ocasionar explosiones, NO arroje
las baterías al fuego.
Alimentación eléctrica
•Sostenga el adaptador de CA, no el cable,
cuando retire el adaptador de CA de la toma
de corriente.
Automóviles con bolsas de aire
NO coloque el Auricular InalámbricoKYO100 sobre
la bolsa de aire o en el área que ésta ocuparía en
caso de activarse. De hacerlo, el dispositivo podría
ser expulsado y causar lesiones graves al conductor
o a los pasajeros.

P: ¿Puedo usar el Auricular InalámbricoKYO100 con
todas las marcas de teléfonos móviles?
R: Sí, siempre que el teléfono móvil tenga
incorporada la función de puerta de enlace de
voz Bluetooth®.
P: ¿Cuál es la distancia máxima entre el Auricular
InalámbricoKYO100 y el teléfono móvil con tecnología
inalámbrica Bluetooth®?
R: La distancia (sin obstáculos) es de 10 metros
(33 pies).
P: ¿Es posible que otra persona con un teléfono
móvil escuche mi conversación?
R: No es posible. Mediante la sincronización, ha
creado un enlace seguro entre el teléfono móvil y el
Auricular InalámbricoKYO100.
P: ¿Por qué el teléfono móvil no puede detectar el
Auricular InalámbricoKYO100?
R: Si el teléfono se encuentra en modo de
sincronización, debería poder detectar el Auricular
InalámbricoKYO100. Para obtener más información,

P: ¿Es necesario realizar la sincronización cada vez
que uso el Auricular InalámbricoKYO100?
R: No. La información de sincronización se
almacena en los dos dispositivos, aun cuando haya
apagado uno de ellos o los dos.

P: ¿Debo volver a conectar los dos dispositivos
cuando se interrumpe el enlace entre el teléfono
móvil y el Auricular InalámbricoKYO100?
R: Depende del modelo de teléfono móvil. Algunos
teléfonos móviles se volverán a conectar de manera
automática si ambos dispositivos se encuentran
dentro de la distancia recomendada. Algunos
teléfonos móviles deben volver a conectarse
manualmente.
P: ¿Por qué escucho ruidos en el Auricular
InalámbricoKYO100?
R: Es posible que escuche ruidos cuando la distancia
entre el teléfono móvil y el Auricular
InalámbricoKYO100exceda la distancia recomendada.
Si la intensidad de la señal del teléfono móvil en su
área es baja, es probable que la calidad de recepción
del Auricular InalámbricoKYO100 también sea mala.
P: ¿Qué puedo hacer si la calidad de sonido del
Auricular InalámbricoKYO100 es mala?
R: Intente ajustar el volumen del teléfono móvil o
del Auricular InalámbricoKYO100. Verifique, además, la
calidad de la señal del teléfono móvil en su área.

Kyocera Wireless Corp. (“KYOCERA”) ofrece al usuario
una garantía limitada en la que se estipula que el
producto o los productos incluidos (el “Producto”) no
presentarán defectos de materiales ni de mano de obra
durante un periodo de un año a partir de la fecha de
compra del Producto, siempre que el usuario final sea el
comprador original del Producto y que haya efectuado
la compra en un distribuidor autorizado. La
transferencia o reventa de un Producto anulará
automáticamente la cobertura de la garantía con
respeto al Producto en cuestión. Esta garantía limitada
no es transferible a terceros, lo cual incluye, a título
enunciativo, a cualquier comprador o propietario
posterior del Producto. Esta garantía limitada sólo tiene
validez para los usuarios finales en Estados Unidos
y Canadá.
KYOCERA, según su criterio exclusivo y absoluto,
reparará o sustituirá un Producto (en la unidad se
podrán usar componentes reacondicionados de calidad
y funcionalidad similares) si KYOCERA estima que
presenta defectos de materiales o de mano de obra, o
en el caso de que KYOCERA determine que es incapaz
de reparar o sustituir el Producto en cuestión,
reembolsará el precio de compra de dicho Producto,
siempre que tal Producto (i) se devuelva, con el envío
pagado por adelantado, a un centro de servicio
autorizado de KYOCERA dentro del periodo de garantía
de un año y que (ii) se incluya junto a éste el
comprobante de compra, ya sea recibo o factura, que
compruebe que el Producto en cuestión se encuentra
dentro del periodo de garantía de un año
(“Comprobante de compra”). Una vez concluido el
periodo de garantía de un año, el usuario deberá pagar
todos los cargos de envío, piezas y mano de obra.
Esta garantía limitada no se aplicará en los siguientes
casos: (i) cualquier Producto que se haya instalado,
reparado, manipulado o modificado incorrectamente;
(ii) cualquier Producto expuesto a uso indebido (incluso
cualquier Producto utilizado con hardware eléctrica o
mecánicamente incompatible o con accesorios no
suministrados por KYOCERA), mal uso, accidente, daño
físico, operación anormal, manipulación incorrecta,
negligencia, fuego, agua o humedad excesiva o cambios
extremos en la temperatura o el clima; (iii) cualquier
Producto operado fuera de los valores nominales
máximos indicados; (iv) daños estéticos; (v) cualquier
Producto cuyo número de serie o rótulo adhesivo de la
garantía se haya eliminado, alterado o borrado; (vi)
costo de instalación, desinstalación o reinstalación; (vii)
problemas en la recepción de señal (a menos que se
hayan originado por defectos en los materiales o en la
mano de obra); (viii) daños derivados de incendios,
inundaciones, caso fortuito u otras condiciones que no
resulten de fallas de KYOCERA y para las cuales no se
haya diseñado el Producto, tales como daños causados
por manipulación incorrecta, traslado y fusibles
quemados; (ix) artículos fungibles (como fusibles); o (x)
cualquier Producto que haya sido abierto, reparado,
modificado o alterado por una persona que no
pertenezca a KYOCERA ni forme parte de un centro de
servicio autorizado de KYOCERA.
