●冷却効率、出力特性に優れた3ポート・シュニューレ
掃気を採用。

ドメッキ処理、軽量なアルミピストンを採用。
●リコイルスターターを標準装備、特別なスターター
を必要とせず、スターターノブを引くだけでエンジ
ン始動。
●クランクシャフトに2個のボールベアリングを使用。
始動性、高速特性の向上と共に、ならし運転が短時
間で完了。

●Lightweight, hard anodized aluminum piston and
brass cylinder excel in longer engine life.
●R ecoil-starter-equipped for fast and reliable engine

模型専門店で販売されているグロー燃料を使用して
ください。

高性能なグロープラグを使用してください。
KY OS HOプラグ 等。（エンジン付キットには付属）
3. ブースターコード／プラグヒート用電池
グロープラグを赤熱させるために使うものです。

4. プラグレンチ
グロープラグの点検、取り替え用に使うものです。

● エンジンのならし運転のニードルバルブ位置

全閉から3回転ゆるめた状態。

The position for mounting the engine depends on the
model itself. Follow the modelÕs instruction ma-nual
to mount the engine.
Adjust the needle valve as shown below. T he throttle
valve adjustment screw is pre-set to standard position.

によって多少調整が必要になる場合があります。）
●エンジン始動とならし運転（ブレークイン）
下記の手順を参考にエンジン始動とならし運転を進め
てください。
1. ニードルバルブとスロットルバルブ調整が標準位置で
あることを確認してください。
2. 燃料タンクに燃料を8分目位入れます。スロットルを全
開（ハイ）にし、チョーク（エンジン内にごく少量の燃
料を入れること：京商製燃料タンクのチョークボタン
を1〜2回押す程度）を行ない、スロットルを閉じます。
（タンク内にゴミなどがないか、よく確認してから燃
料を入れてください。）
3. グロープラグにブースターコード又は、ワンタッチプ
ラグヒートを使って通電（赤熱）させます。
Throttle Valve Adjustment:
The low-end throttle is pre-
set. If unscrewing 2 , the
opening in the throttle be-
comes more narrow and low-
end R P M decreas e. If tight-
ening 2 , rpm will rise again.
Adjust so neither the engine will stall nor the car start off.
Adjustments 1 and 2 may slighty vary according to the
glow plug and glow fuel used.

●E NG INE S T A R TING & B R E AK -IN
P roceed as follows:
1. Make sure the needle valve and throttle valve adjust--
ment screw are set to standard positions (see ~
in the previous chapter!).
2. F ill the fuel tank to about 80%. Apply full throttle,
prime the engine (send only a little amount of fuel into
the carburetor by pushing the choke button 1 ~ 2 times),
then close the throttle.
(On this occasion, ensure no dirt enters the tank and
clogs the fuel line!)
3. Attach the glow plug heater or one-touch plug heater
to the glow plug and electrify it.
エンジンの搭載方法は、各キットによって位置が異なる
ため、必ずキットの説明書に従ってエンジン搭載を行っ
てください。
ニードルバルブを下図のように調整します。スロッ
トルバルブ調整ネジは、出荷時に標準位置で調整し
てあります。

スロットルのスローの位置は、
出荷時に調整してあります。
このビスをゆるめるとすきま
が狭くなり、スロー時の回転
が下がります。ビスを締める
と回転が上がります。エンジンが止まらず、かつ、車が走り
ださない位置にしてください。

4. リコイルスターターノブを続けて数回（20〜30cm
位）できるだけ素早く引きます。
注意：ロープを50cm以上引くと途中で切れる場合があ
りますので、絶対におやめください。
5. エンジンが始動したら、タイヤを空転させスロット
ルを少し上げる。回転が安定したらブースターコード
又は、ワンタッチプラグヒートをはずしてください。
6. この状態で2〜3タンク（京商製：75cc）位走行させて
ください。スロットルを上げても回転が低くてエンジ
ンが止まってしまう場合は、少しニードルを締めてく
ださい。
注意：1タンク毎に、必ず自然冷却してください。
（約50°C以下程度まで冷却。）
エンジンの回転が不安定なときは、スロットル
をハイにして走行してください。（全開で走行
しても車速は遅い。）
7. 3〜4タンク目から、1タンクごと
にニードルバルブを約30°ずつ
締め、徐々にエンジンの回転を上
げていきます。
8. 7の作業をくり返し行い、スロットルをハイにしたと
き、車の直進スピードが最も速くなった所がニードル
バルブの最良位置です。 ニードルバルブ最良位置が
得られれば、ブレークインは終了です。
そこからさらに締めると、エンジンの排気が見えなく
なったり、スピードが途中から落ちてきます。そのま
ま走行を続けると、エンジンがこわれてしまいます。
すぐにニードルバルブをゆるめてください。ニードル
バルブ最良位置から10°〜20°ゆるめた位置が、通常
走行位置です。
※ニードルバルブの最良位置は、使用するグロープラ
グ及び、グロー燃料の種類によって多少異なる場合
があります。
※ニードルバルブの最良位置は、天候によっても多少
左右されます。
注意：エンジンの調整はすべて走行させながら行って
ください、タイヤを空転させての空ぶかしは、
エンジン破損につながります。
＊終了する場合、燃料タンク内に残った燃料は全て抜い
てください。
＊エンジン内部も同じように燃料を抜いてください。内
部に燃料が残ったまま、長期間放置しておくと次回使
用する時にエンジンが始動しにくくなりますので注意
してください。
＊エンジン外部の汚れは、メタノールを使ってブラシ等
で落してください。尚、作業中は火気に十分注意して
ください。
＊プラグが劣化してくると、回転が不安定になったり、
始動しにくくなります。時々点検し、早めに交換して
ください。

4. Quickly pull the starter knob sev-er-al times. Only pull
20 - 30cm of cord!
C aution: B e careful not to pull the cord
beyond 50cm for it may tear!
5. Once the engine has started, make the tires spin aloof
and slightly open the throttle. As soon as engine R P M
have become stable, de-tach the glow plug heater or
one-touch plug heater.
6. R un the engine with this setting for 2 ~ 3 tanks (75cc
with KY OS HO fuel tank). If engine R P M are low and
the engine stalls though you opened the throttle,
slightly tighten the needle valve.
C aution: With each tank, let the en-gine cool
off naturally (the head s hould not
feel warm-er than 50¡ C !).
If engine R P M are not stable, open the
throttle and run the car. (E ven when
applying full throttle, high-rpm cannot
be reached!)
7. After the 3rd or 4th tank, tighten the needle valve 30¡
with every tank and apply more throttle.
8. R epeat step 7. When your car reaches top speed
when running down a straight at full throttle, you have
found the optimum setting for the needle valve and the
break-in is completed. If you tighten the needle valve
furthermore, exhausts will get invi-s ible and R P M sag.
R un-ning the engine with such setting will definitely
damage it. If the needle valve is too tight, unscrew it
immediately. For normal running performance, un--
screw the needle val-ve 10¡ to 20¡ from the optimum
setting.
Note: The optimum s etting may s lightly vary
according to the glow plug and glow
fuel us ed as well as to changing
weather con-ditions !
C aution: Do s tep 8 only when running your
car! The engine will be damaged if
the wheels are s till s pinning aloof.
＊When not running the engine for a longer period of
time, draw out any fuel left in the fuel tank.
＊Draw out fuel from inside the engine and fuel line as
well. Otherwise it may dry up and clog the engine and
fuel line.
＊Brush or wipe off any dirt from outside the engine
using methanol. Methanol is highly inflammable and
should be kept away from any fire or any other heat
source while cleaning!
＊If the glow plug deteriorates, engine R P M become un--
steady and engine starting more difficult. Therefore,
check the glow plug on a regular basis and replace it if
necessary.
