Congratulations on buying your LA Sports Super Lightweight Aluminium Running / Balance Bike.
Balance bikes do not have pedals. Children use their feet to maintain balance and to push themselves
off. The bikes are easy to ride, bags of fun and are perfect for those who aren't ready for pedals just
yet. Balance bikes develop motor skills, spatial awareness, balance, agility, core strength and co-
ordination. They also help to increase and maintain children's confidence as they are in control of the
bike. All this and not a stabilizer in sight! Our Balance Bike is also so Super Lightweight, your child will
be able to lift and carry it to where they want.
Start by asking your child to stand over the bike, with the saddle under their seat. Both feet should be
on the ground, and both hands on the handlebar grips. Start by walking along and keeping their
balance with their feet. When they want to stop, just stop walking. As they progress, encourage larger
steps, and start saying “Push, Push Glide” and they will start to glide along. They will naturally want to
push a little more and let the bike glide along under them.
