READ THE FOLLOWING WARNINGS CAREFULLY AS THEY PROVIDE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION ON APPLIANCE USE AND MAINTENANCE
his appliance must be used solely for its intended purpose and installed in a suitable place for such use. Any other use is to be considered
improper and therefore irrational. he manufacturer will not be held responsible for any damage caused due to improper, incorrect or irrational
machine use.
he appliance must be installed in compliance with current legislation and according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Incorrect installation may cause damage to people, animals or property and the manufacturer will not be held responsible.
The electrical safety of this appliance is ensured when it is correctly connected
to an efficient earthing system, as provided for in legislation in force.
The electrical system to which the appliance is connected (by the client) must be compliant with legislation in force.
This fundamental requirement must be verified by professionally qualified staff.
The manufacturer will not be held responsible for any damage caused due to the absence or inefficiency of a good earthing system, or for its
non conformity with legislation in force.
When using any electrical appliance, the following fundamental regulations must also be observed:
• Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands or feet.
• Do not use the appliance barefooted.
• Do not pull on the power cord to disconnect the appliance from the electrical mains.
• Do not allow the appliance to be used by children or unauthorised persons.
• Access to the appliance area should be strictly reserved to people familiar with and who have practical experience of operating the appliance,
especially in regards to hygiene and safety.
• Before carrying out any scheduled cleaning or maintenance work, disconnect the appliance from the electrical mains.
• If the appliance becomes faulty and/or malfunctioning, or if the power cord becomes damaged, fully switch off the appliance and do not
attempt any direct repairs. Contact the manufacturer-authorised Help Centre only.
• o ensure efficient and correct appliance operation, follow the manufacturer's instructions when carrying out any scheduled maintenance.
• he appliance’s protection against electrocution gives it a class I protection rating.
• he appliance must operate in an environment where the temperature is between +5°C and 40°C.
• he appliance is not intended for use in an outdoor environment where it is directly subject to atmospheric agents.
• When operating normally, the acoustic noise emitted by the appliance is less than 0 dB.

• he maximum machine installation altitude is 8000 metres.
• Children must not play with the appliance.
• Maintenance and cleaning of the machine must not be performed by children unless supervised.
• hese instructions are also available in an alternative format, for example on a website.
The appliance is supplied without water in the boiler, to avoid damage from exposure to low temperatures; for this very reason, if the
appliance is unused for a long time, water should be removed from the boiler before disconnecting it.
Failure to comply with the above may impair the safety of the appliance and its
service life.
If the appliance remains unused for a long period of time in a place where the temperature is below 0°C, before starting it up, call the
Authorised Help Centre to verify appliance condition.

PREPARATION FOR USER INSTALLATION
Place the appliance on a flat surface to ensure secure support. Verify this important requirement as
the manufacturer shall not be held responsible e for damages caused by appliance instability. When fitting
for installation, make sure there is an opening on the supporting surface to enable connection to the water and electrical mains in the
compartment below,
where the softener must be positioned, if deemed necessary by the installer.
A 10 x 10 cm opening is sufficient in the area (a) indicated in fig. 1.
Minimum compartment measurements are:
- height cm. 60
- width cm. 40
- depth cm. 40
Key:

* Distance between rear part of the appliance and the wall.
• he plug must be positioned so that it is
easily accessible.
• A water shut-off valve must be installed between the water mains and the water supply tube of the appliance
so that water can be
shut off if required (fig. 1).
• Water mains connection must be between 1 and 5 bars.
Contact the manufacturer if this last requirement is lacking.
Please Note!
he appliance is supplied without water in the boiler, to avoid irreparable damage from exposure to low temperatures
. Only cold water intended for human consumption must be used in the appliance.

INSTALLATION
he electrical system, water system and drainage system (if present) MUS already be fitted by the Client in
a suitable position to enable correct installation. he installer can modify the existing system prepared
by the Client see the "Preparation for user installation" paragraph.
he appliance must be installed somewhere so that use and maintenance is limited to trained staff only.
• he appliance is not designed to be built-in.
• After removing the packaging, check the condition of the appliance. If any doubts arise, do not use it and contact the manufacturer directly.
Packaging materials must not be left in the reach of children as they are a potential hazard. Lift the appliance up by its sides and set it down on a
secure support surface.
• he appliance must be installed so that the plug which disconnects the appliance from the electrical mains is still accessible.
• Installation must be carried out in areas where use and maintenance is restricted to trained staff only.
Before plugging the appliance into the mains socket, check that data plate details are the same as those for the installation site.
REMOVAL OF PACKAGING
•After removing the packaging, check the condition of the appliance. If any doubts arise, do not use it and contact the manufacturer.
Packaging materials must not be left in the reach of children as they are a potential hazard.
Please Note!
he appliance weighs more than 30 Kg and as such must be moved by more than one person.

Dispose of packaging elements in accordance with relative laws and regulations in force in the country of machine use.

SWITCHING THE APPLIANCE ON:
With appliance connected to electrical mains and in S BY mode (only LED 13 PAGE 5 flashing), press and hold down button 7 for 3 seconds (PAGE
5):
he following will appear on the Display:
he delivery group and/or steam Boiler can now be switched on.

SWITCHING ON THE COFFEE DELIVERY GROUP:
Press button 5 (PAGE 5) to switch on the coffee delivery group.
he following will be displayed on the main display:
he front LED bar 5 (PAGE 2) and leds of delivery pushbutton panel selections 4 (PAGE 2) will light up.
As the delivery group heats up, the temperature value (expressed in °C and in °F when "American" language is selected) is displayed in red. It will
turn green when set temperature is reached (this can be changed in the specific menu, see the section here below). Whenever the temperature
drops below the set one, the number turns red (heating-up phase) until the set temperature is reached again (green).
o disable the delivery groups, press the relative button 5 (PAGE 5) for longer than half a second. he front LED bar 3 (PAGE 3) will switch

TURNING ON THE STEAM BOILER:
With the appliance switched ON, press the button on the ouchscreen display to enable steam boiler heating (hot water for
infusions/ steam). LEDs 12 and 14 (PAGE 5) will light up and steam boiler pressure (in Bars) will be displayed:
he steam boiler automatic water filling cycle will start (if necessary) and when it ends, the heating phase will begin.
o turn off the steam boiler, hold down the button for longer than half a second .

PREPARING COFFEE:
When the correct operating temperature of the delivery group is reached (value in °C in green), proceed as follows:
1. Unhook the filter holder of the delivery group (4) PAGE 3.
2. Load ground coffee (use coffee doser supplied), take care not to leave any coffee powder on the upper edge of the filter holder, and press using the coffee
press supplied.
3. Hook the filter holder back onto the delivery group (4) PAGE 3, firmly but not too tightly.
4. Place one or two coffee cups under the filter holder.
Select the 1 short coffee button (2 PAGE 5), 1 long coffee button (3 PAGE 5) or continuous delivery (4 PAGE 5) to start delivery. If using selections
with automatic doses, the appliance will stop delivery when the set amount has been delivered, based on programmed product values entered
upon installation. If continuous delivery is selected, when the desired amount of coffee is delivered into the cup, press the button once more to
stop delivery.
he amount of coffee delivered can be modified through programmable selections: please refer to the relevant chapter here below.
PLEASE NOTE: When using the appliance, frequently check the fullness of trays 5 and 8 (PAGE 3) and empty them if necessary.
PLEASE NOTE: If the machine has been idle for more than an hour, draw off approx. 100 cc empty before delivering.
Please refer to the specific section in the user manual for cleaning methods and instructions.
STEAM DELIVERY:
With the steam boiler ON and pressurised (approximately 1 - 1.2 bar as shown on the main Display), insert the steam wand 9 (PAGE 3) into a
frothing jug with the beverage that requires heating and press the button 6 (PAGE 5).
Once the beverage has been heated up, press button 6 (PAGE 5) again to stop steam delivery.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not press button 6 (PAGE 5) before inserting the steam wand 9 (PAGE 3) into the frothing jug, to avoid the risk of burning
yourself.
PLEASE NOTE: Before heating up the beverage (water, milk, etc.) let steam escape from the wand for at least 3 seconds to ensure condensate
drainage.

HOT WATER DELIVERY FOR INFUSIONS:
With the steam boiler ON and pressurised (approximately 1 - 1.2 bars, as shown on the main Display), position a frothing jug underneath the hot
water delivery spout 7 (PAGE 3).
Press the hot water delivery button 8 (PAGE 5). Hot water delivery will begin.
When the desired amount has been delivered, press button 8 again (PAGE 5) to stop delivery.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not press button 8 (PAGE 5) before placing a frothing jug below the hot water delivery spout (PAGE 3), to avoid being burnt.
PLEASE NOTE: If the machine has been idle for more than an hour, draw off approx. 200 cc empty before delivering.
ACCESSING THE APPLIANCE PROGRAMMING/SETTINGS MENUS:
o access the appliance settings/parameters menu, proceed as follows:
With the appliance ON, press the button on the ouch Display for more than a second and the following will appear on the Display:
Enter the 4-digit PIN to access the menus (DEFAUL PIN: 0000) and confirm by pressing the button .

N.B.: If no PIN is entered after 5 seconds, the display will return to the main screen.
he default PIN can be changed in the specific menu by following the procedure described in the relevant chapter.
When the correct PIN is confirmed, the following will appear on the Display:
Use the and buttons to scroll through the menus, and select the desired Area to access them.
Press the button to exit the settings Menu.

DELIVERY GROUP TEMPERATURE MENU:
Select the Menu to access the Menu for adjusting Coffee Delivery emperature. he following will appear on the Display:
Use the and buttons to modify coffee delivery temperature relative to the Coffee Delivery Group.
Press to confirm the set value and return to the Parameters Menu.
Delivery group operating temperature is modified solely for the purpose of improving the in-cup result, depending on the coffee blend used.

BOILER PRESSURE MENU:
Select the Menu to access the menu where Steam Boiler pressure can be adjusted. he following will appear on the Display:
Use the and buttons to change (SE ) steam boiler operating pressure.
Press to confirm the set value and return to the Parameters Menu.
Steam boiler operating pressure is solely modified to change steam delivery power, so that the milk emulsion is optimised.
