Safety Rules
As with all machinery there are certain hazards involved with the operation and
use. Using it with caution will considerably lessen the possibility of personal
injury. However, if normal safety precautions are overlooked or ignored, personal
injury to the operator may result. If you have any questions relative to the
installation and operation, do not use the equipment until you have contacted
your supplying distributor.
Read carefully before operating the machine.
1. Keep the working area clean and be sure adequate lighting is available.
2. Do not wear loose clothing, gloves, bracelets, necklaces or ornaments.
Wear face, eye, respiratory and body protection devices as indicated for
the operation or environment.
3. Be sure that the power is disconnected from the machine before tools are
serviced or an attachment is to be fitted or removed.
4. Never leave the machine with the power on.
5. Do not use dull, gummy or cracked cutting tools.
6. Be sure that the keys and adjusting wrenches have been removed and all
the nuts and bolts are secured.

Limited Warranty
New woodworking machines sold by Laguna Tools carry a one year warranty
from the date of shipping. Laguna Tools guarantees all new machines sold to be
free of manufacturers defective workmanship, parts and materials. We will repair
or replace without charge, any parts determined by Laguna Tools, Inc. to be a
manufacturer’s defect. We require the defective item/part returned to Laguna
Tools. In the event the item/part is determined to be damaged due to lack of
maintenance, cleaning or misuse/abuse the customer will be responsible for the
cost to replace the item/part, plus all related shipping charges. This limited
warranty does not apply to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, normal wear and
tear, product failure due to lack of maintenance or cleaning, damage caused by
accident, neglect, lack of or inadequate dust collection, misuse/abuse or damage
caused where repair or alterations have been made or attempted by others.
Laguna Tools, Inc. is not responsible for additional tools or modifications sold or
performed (other than from/by Laguna Tools, Inc.) on any Laguna Tools, Inc.
woodworking machine. Warranty may be voided upon the addition of such noted
tools and/or modifications, determined on a case-by-case basis.
Normal user alignment, adjustment, tuning and machine settings are not covered
by this warranty. It is the responsibility of the user to understand basic
woodworking machinery settings and procedures and to properly maintain the
equipment in accordance with the standards provided by the manufacturer.
Parts, under warranty, are shipped at Laguna Tools, Inc’s cost either by common
carrier, UPS Ground service or similar method. Technical support to install
replacement parts is primarily provided by phone, fax or email. The labor
required to install replacement parts is the responsibility of the user.
Laguna Tools is not responsible for damage or loss caused by freight company
or other circumstances not in our control.
Only new machines sold to the original owner are covered by this warranty. For

Noise emission
Notes concerning noise emission
Given that there exists a relationship between noise level and exposure times, it
is not precise enough to determine the need for supplementary precautions. The
factors affecting the true level of exposure to operators are clearly the amount of
time exposed, the characteristics of working environment other sources of dust
and noise etc. For example, adjacent machines, in other words the level of
ambient noise. It is possible that exposure level limits will vary from country to
country.
Receiving your machine.
Note. It is probable that a third party will deliver your machine.
Before you unpack your machine you will need to first inspect the packing,
invoice and shipping documents supplied by the driver. Insure that there is no
visible damage to the packing or the machine. You need to do this prior to the
driver leaving. All damage must be noted on the delivery documents and signed
by you and the delivery driver. You must then contact the seller [Laguna Tools]
as soon as practical. If damage if found after delivery, contact the seller as soon
as practical.
Parts of the machine.
The Air filter consists of a fan the sucks air
through two filter systems [Outer and inner
filters].
There is a control panel that has three LED’S to
indicate if the filters are becoming blocked. Once
all three LED’S are lit the filters must be cleaned.
There is a 3 amp protection fuse.
There is a on / off / remote control switch.
There is a power cable.
Note there may not be a plug fitted to the power
lead, as the type of plug you need to suite your
electrical system may vary.

Unpacking your machine.
1. Dismantle the box and lift the box off the pallet [If fitted].
2. Using the knife, cut the plastic wrap [if fitted].
3. Remove all the parts that have been packed with the machine.
Note. If you have any doubt about the described procedure, seek professional
assistance. Do not attempt any procedure, that you feel is unsafe, or that you do
not have the physical capability of achieving.
Where to locating your Air filter.
There are no hard and fast rules for its location, but below are a few guidelines:
It must have un-obstructed air flow both the front and back of the air filters.
It should be located in a conveionent position to conduct regular maintenance.
You will have to clean the filters regularly.
It should be suspended above head height. You don’t want to hit your head.
It should be located in a central position to allow optimum air movement around
your shop.
Filtration system preparation
Unpack your air filter and assemble
the lock nuts to the eyebolts, and
insert the 4 eye bolts into the
threaded holes at the corners of the
air filter.
Using a 10mm wrench tighten the lock
nut against the cabinet.

Suspend the air filter from a suitably strong overhead support. [Roof joist or
something similar]. Ensure that the suspension method is strong enough to
support the unit.

Operating the Air filter.
The air filter can be operated either by remote control or manually. If the selection
switch is in the Off or On position, the remote control will not function.
Manual Operation of the Filtration System
Switch the On / Off / Remote control switch to the On position.
Remote Operation of the Filtration System
Switch the On / Off / Remote control switch on the air
filter to the remote control position.
Pressing the On / Hr switch on the remote control, turns
the air filter switches on and it will not switch off until the
remote control off switch is pressed.
To select a specific run time, press the On / Hr switch
multiple times until the required run time is indicated [2,
4, 6, or 8 hours] The system will automatically shut off
after the selected hour setting has elapsed.
Choosing a Fan Speed
Select the speed of the blower by pressing the
right or left arrows on the remote control, directly above
the On/Hr and Off buttons LED’s which indicate the currently
selected run time as well as fan speed.
Note. Fan Speeds
It is not possible to be specific on selecting the correct fan speed, but sanding
operations usually require the fastest fan speed. This will vary depending on
individual shops and machines in operation. Experience is the best guide and
you will soon learn which setting to select. It is preferable to use the lowest speed
possible while getting the best possible results.
Air Filter Maintenance
DANGER: Before attempting to clean either of the two air filters, isolate the air
filter from the power.
1. Carefully remove the outer “Pleated” Filter by
gently lifting and applying a light pulling force. Pull
the filter out at an angle.
Note. When reassembling pleated filter ensure
that the airflow direction arrows [on the side of the
pleated filter] are pointing in the correct direction
[in towards the three pouch filter]
2. If necessary remove the Inner “Three pouch
filter by gently lifting and applying a light pulling
force. Pull the filter out at an angle.
3. Both filters can be cleaned by shaking over the
waste bin or into a plastic bag. If there is still dust
clinging to the filters they can be cleaned with a

long soft brush. If the filters are cleaned with a brush, extreme caution must be
used as you could damage the filters, and have to replace them.
Note. Never use any other method to clean the filters. If compressed air, water or
a vacuum cleaner are used, there is a high probability that the specialized filter
pores will be damaged and the filters will have to be replaced.
4. To reinstall the filters reverse procedures 1 & 2 taking care that the air
direction arrow on the outer pleated filter is pointing in the correct direction [in
towards the inner filter].
5. After changing the filter, push the OFF button on the remote
for 10 seconds until you hear a BEEP sound.
Scheduled maintenance.
Both the inner and outer filters should be cleaned and checked for damage and
ware every month.
If damage or holes are detected in the filters, they must be replaced.
The outer filter should be replaced every 4 months but this will be dependant on
use. The inner filter should be replaced every year but this will be dependant on
use.
Note. If the inner filter fills with dust quickly this is an indication of the outer filter
is either not fitted correctly or is damaged.
Note. After changing or cleaning the filters. Connect the circulator to the power
and then push the off button on the remote control for 10 seconds until you hear
a "beep". This will reset the circulator.
