Section 1. INTRODUCTION
The “User’s Manual” supplied with the cultivator is an element of basic
cultivator equipment and it is intended to familiarize the user with machine handling,
adjustment, maintenance, safety regulations and to make identification and purchase
of damaged parts easier. Following instructions contained in the user’s manual will
ensure trouble-free and safe operation of the cultivator.
Before using the cultivator, read the user’s manual. Terms “left” or “right” used in the
manual mean the sides to the left and to the right of the observer facing the cultivator
moving forward
Particular attention should be paid to hazard warning symbols and safety signs on the
cultivator. They provide important information about the hazard provided in the user’s
manual.
If you see this SIGN, beware of danger and carefully read the appropriate information
and inform other operators.
REMEMBER - LANDSTAL assumes no liability for damage resulting from failing to
follow the user’s manual.

INDICATIONS
Orders defined by the following words: WARNING, CAUTION, REMEMBER are used to
emphasize importance of the information.
WARNING –Indicates the possibly hazardous condition which, if
not avoided, can lead to harm or an injury.
CAUTION –This word is used in case of a risk of damage to the
machine.
REMEMBER –This word is used when providing additional information.
Section 2. PURPOSE
The grasser cutivator is intended for meadow care, more specifically for rolling, dragging
and re-sowing grass with the mounted seeder. Without plowing care is the easiest and
cheapest way to improve the condition of meadows and pastures.
Soil aeration reduces water evaporation, loosens the soil and improves grass
propagation.
Molehills are also leveled thanks to the adjustable bumper at the front of the machine.

2.1. INTENDED USE
The cultivator can be started, used and repaired only by persons familiarized
with the cultivator operation and the cooperating tractor as well as the procedure of
safe handling and use of the cultivator.
REMEMBER –The cultivator is designed exclusively for agricultural work. Using it for
purposes other than those specified in point 2 will be understood as a misuse.
Another form of intended use is adhering to the conditions of use, service and
proper maintenance of the cultivator recommended by the manufacturer. The
manufacturer does not assume liability for damage resulting from misuse of the
cultivator.
Section 3. OPERATIONAL SAFETY
REMEMBER –Before handling and using the cultivator, read
this user's manual, learn about construction of its unit
assemblies, their operation, ranges and adjustment
method, paying particular attention to information about
work safety.
When you have already started work, it is too late for that.
3.1. GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS
The provided safety regulations apply to the cultivator. Regardless of this,
adhere to the general safety and accident prevention principles and traffic regulations.
WARNING –Thanks to adhering to the safe use principles contained in

The cultivator (grasser + tractor) should be handled with all precautions and in
particular:
before each start-up, inspect the cultivator and the tractor: if they are in
appropriate conditions which guarantee safety during transport and operation
the cooperating tractor must be equipped with front axle weights. Balance of
the tractor with the mounted cultivator, its steerability and braking function must
be maintained;
observe permissible axle loads and transport dimensions
when aggregating the cultivator with the tractor, lifting and lowering the
cultivator on the tractor hydraulic lifting jack, see if there are no bystanders,
especially children, near the cultivator;
do not approach the cultivator while lifting or lowering;
do not stand between the tractor and the cultivator during engine operation;
lift, lower and start the cultivator slowly, without sudden jerks;
do not reverse the tractor or make turns when the machine is lowered in the
working position;
when reversing, remember about projecting elements, do not use independent
brakes of the tractor;
check air pressure in the tractor tires;
when using public roads, follow the traffic rules.
install transport equipment, i.e. lighting, reflecting and warning devices;
during transport and work, you must not stand on the cultivator or load it with
additional weights;
the cultivator must not be operated on inclinations greater than 8°
all repairs, lubrication or cleaning of working elements, if necessary during
work, should only be done with the engine stopped and the cultivator lowered;
if you want to detach the cultivator from the tractor, place it with discs on an
even, hardened surface and after turning off the engine.
during breaks in operation, store the cultivator in places inaccessible to
bystanders and animals;
The cultivator may cause injury as a result of:
➢Improper handling of the device,
➢Approaching the cultivator in motion,
➢Threats from stones and any objects that may be thrown from under the
cultivator.
➢All injuries should be immediately disinfected and shown to the doctor.
3.2 MAINTENANCE
1. Maintenance can be carried out when the cultivator is lowered to the ground.
If the tractor is attached to the machine, it must be turned off and braked.

7 | P a g e
2. For handling, use operational tools and instruments as well as original materials
and parts.
3. To protect all bolts included in the cultivator, use typical protections and safety
pins. You must not use substitute protections, such as: bolts, rods, wires, etc.,
which during operation or transport may cause damage to the tractor or
cultivator, thus posing a threat to safety of other road users.
4. Load of the tractor front axle should not be lower than 20% of its own weight.
5. All repair and maintenance work should be carried out in appropriate clothes
protecting against shallow injuries, compulsorily in protective gloves.
6. The cultivator does not emit harmful radiation, noise or vibrations, which would
expose the operator to additional danger.
3.3TRANSPORT ON PUBLIC ROADS
1. For transport, side sections of the cultivator should be folded into the transport
position.
2. In the case of transporting Grasser machines, it is obligatory to use a lock on hydraulic
cylinders against unexpected unfolding of the machine.
3. When transporting the cultivator on public roads, you must use lighting devices, a
distinguishing plate and side reflectors.
4. Do not exceed driving speed during transport, which is:
- on roads with a smooth (asphalt) surface up to 20 km/h,
- on the country lanes and paving roads 6 ÷ 10 km/h,
- on bumpy roads no more than 5 km/h.
The speed must be adapted to the condition of the road, so that the cultivator
does not bounce on the tractor suspension system and there are no excessive
loads on the cultivator frame or the tractor suspension system.
5. Be especially careful when overtaking, passing and turning .Permissable width of the
machine travelling on public roads is 3,0 m.
6. During transport, no people and objects are people and allowed to stay on the

Section 5. HANDLING AND USE
5.1 CULTIVATOR PREPARATION
When preparing the cultivator for work, check its technical conditions and, above
all, conditions of the working elements.
Moreover:
•Check the screw connections - in the case of looseness, tighten the nuts,
•In case of any abnormalities, dismantle a faulty part, lubricate it and, if
necessary, replace.
•Check the condition of the hydraulic hoses - they can not be damaged,

11 | P a g e
•Check that the quick connectors of the cultivator hydraulic hoses match the
sockets in the tractor. If they do not fit, put them properly,
•Lubricate the cultivator in accordance with the instructions provided in point
5.6.
The suspended cultivator is adapted to cooperate with the tractor using the three-
point suspension system. The tractor should have two external hydraulic outputs.
In the case of using the machine in semi-mounted version, i.e. with a trolley and
drawbar, the unit is suspended on a two-point suspension of the tractor. It is lifted by
lifting the tractor arms and lifting the truck using a hydraulic cylinder. In this case, the
tractor should have at least four external hydraulic outputs.
5.2ATTACHING CULTIVATOR TO TRACTOR
To properly and safely attach the cultivator to the tractor, place it on a hard and
even ground.
When attaching the cultivator to the tractor, do the following steps:
•Switch the tractor hydraulic system to positional adjustment;
•Drive the tractor carefully towards the machine to attach it to the cultivator (so
that the beam axle can be attached to the cultivator holder and the upper joiner
axle to the upper cultivator holder);
•Check cultivator lifting and lowering;
•Check tightness of the cultivator hydraulic system. Hydraulic hoses must not be
bent or damaged.
5.3TRANSPORT OF CULTIVATOR ON PUBLIC ROADS
In accordance with the road safety regulations (Regulation of the Minister for
Infrastructure of 31 December 2002 –Journal of Laws No. 32 of 2002 item 262) –a
cultivator consisting of a tractor and an aggregated agricultural machine must meet
the requirements identical to those referring to a tractor itself.
WARNING
- Cultivator (grasser + machine), as a part of the vehicle protruding
beyond the rear side contour of the tractor, obstructing tractor rear lights
poses a threat to other vehicles on the road.
- Observe transport recommendations provided in Section 3
“Operational safety”.
REMEMBER –You must not transport the cultivator (grasser + machine) on public
roads without proper marking.
