Limited Warranty
Latitude Technologies Corporation warrants products it manufactures against defects in
materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of factory sale. During
the warranty period, Latitude Technologies Corporation will, at its option, either repair or
replace products that prove to be defective.
Buyer shall prepay shipping charges for products returned to Latitude Technologies
Corporation for warranty service and Latitude Technologies Corporation shall pay for
return of products to Buyer. However, Buyer shall pay all shipping charges, duties, and
taxes for products returned to Latitude Technologies Corporation from outside of Canada.
This warranty shall not apply to damage resulting from:
•Improper or inadequate maintenance from Buyer
•Buyer-supplied software or interfacing
•Unauthorized modification or misuse
•Operation outside of the product environmental specifications
•Improper installation, where applicable
No other warranty is expressed or implied. Latitude Technologies Corporation specifically
disclaims the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Remedies provided herein are Buyer’s sole and exclusive remedies. Latitude Technologies
Corporation shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special incidental, or consequential
damages, whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory.

1. General Information
1.1. Introduction
The LT-DPLS401 (DPL handset) together with the Latitude Technologies S200-011 or S200-022
satcom system (S200) provides a fully featured, permanently installed satellite phone dialpad and
control interface. The DP handset is intended for installation on aircraft and vehicles of all types. With a
suitable Iridium exterior antenna, it provides for global communications from enclosed surroundings in
the harshest of environments.
1.2. Equipment Description
The LT-DPLS401 provides satellite phone control and dialpad functions in a small and light package.

1.3. Equipment Limitations
The installer should refer to the installation instructions for the S200 system.

There is no specific safety precaution as such, associated with this equipment.

5. Startup Procedures
5.1. Power on
When DC power is applied to the S200 satcom, both the S200 and the DPL Handset are
powered up automatically. There is no need to press the power on/off key to do this.
Powering off of the DPL handset occurs automatically with the shutdown of the S200.
When the DPL handset is powered up a wakeup tone should be heard with a sequence of
screens appearing in the order shown below. When the last screen appears with the
indicator, the handset is ready to make a voice call.

6. Placing a Call
To place a call, the DPL handset and the S200 satcom must be powered on, have a
network activated SIM card and be in contact with the Iridium satellite network.
A phone number up to a maximum of 20 digits can be entered. The digits are displayed in
a single row with the character size automatically adjusted to fit the LCD screen.

To place calls to a landline dial 00+Country Code + Area Code + Tel#.

For example, to call Latitude Technologies (Canada) from the Satphone dial: 001 250 475
0203.
To place a call from your Iridium phone to another Iridium phone dial (00 + Iridium
Number).
6.3. Dial a Toll Free Test call
To test voice operation call customer support 24-hours a day, 7-days a week from your
satphone (toll free) at 6868. From a landline dial +1 709 748 4226 or toll free at +1 800
563 2255.

The DPL handset can store up to 100 names and telephone numbers on the SIM card
phone book (physically located in the S200), which can be retrieved later to place a call.

7. Receiving a Call
To receive a call, the DPL handset and the S200 satcom must be powered on, have a
network activated SIM card and be in contact with the Iridium satellite network.

8. Unanswered Calls
If a call is not answered, the DPL handset will display the message .
9. Personal Mailbox
When a call is not answered, the caller can leave numeric, text and voice messages. The
next time the DPL handset is registered with the Iridium network, these messages can be
retrieved or saved for later viewing.
10. Calling to the DPL handset from a landline
To call to the DPL handset, the DPL handset and the S200 satcom must be powered on,
have a network activated SIM card and be in contact with the Iridium satellite network.
To place the calls dial the international access code (011) and the Iridium Number MSIDN
assigned to your S200/DPL handset system. For example: 011 8816 XXXX XXXX.
Please note that some long distance providers and/or cellular service providers may not
be able to connect you to an Iridium telephone number. Please contact your long

distance/cellular service provider to ensure that you can connect to country code "8816"
(Country code for the Iridium Satellite Network).

To adjust ringer volume, press and then . the DPL handset sounds the new
volume level as it is being adjusted.
