HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
4. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by manufacturer may result in
re, electric shock or injury to persons.
5. Always operate the appliance on a smooth, even and stable surface.
6. Do not use appliance for anything other than intended use.
7. Use caution when handling appliance containing hot liquids.
8. Do not leave appliance unattended while boiling.
9. Never disassemble, repair, or modify the unit by yourself. Contact customer service for
repairs.
10. When pouring water into the unit do not ll past the “full line”.
11. Do not cover the steam vent.
12. Always use a single outlet with a power rating that matches the rated power. Be sure
the plug is inserted correctly to prevent damage to the power cord. Unplug the unit
when not in use. Do not unplug the power cord with wet hands.
13. Do not li, shake, or tilt the unit while in use. Do not li the unit by the lid.
14. Close the lid securely. Do not force the lid closed.
15. Do not tilt or knock over the unit.
16. CAUTION: Do not touch the steam vent, steam is very hot.
17. Do not empty le over hot water while the lid is attached. Allow water to cool before
emptying.
18. Keep unit and power cord away from children. Do not allow power cord to hang o of
counter.
19. Do not boil anything other than water. Do not put ice in the unit.
20. Do not open the lid or dispense water while the unit is boiling.
21. Allow unit to cool before performing maintenance or storing the unit.
22. Do not rotate unit while dispensing water.
23. Do not touch the lid opening button while hot water is in the unit as steam will escape
and can burn.
24. Do not allow the water level to get below the “low” water mark.
25. Ensure there are no objects near the unit while in operation.

LID INSTRUCTIONS
• To open the lid: Press the depression in the Lid Opening Lever and li
the lid. (You can open the lid directly if there is a depression in the Lid
Opening Lever.)
• To detach the lid: Push on the Detachable Knob, hold the Lid Opening
Lever, and pull the lid out and up in a slanting direction.
• To attach the lid: Insert the metal adapter into the groove of the De-
tachable Knob.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Open the lid and add water to the unit. Do not overfill the unit. Water
may be added up to the “Full” line marked on the inner pot of the
unit. Note: do not drench the outside of the unit when adding water.
2. Close the lid after adding water.
3. Place the unit on a clean, stable surface and plug the unit into an
outlet. Once the unit is plugged in the power indicator light will
illuminate and heating will commence. The red “Heating” light
indicates that the unit is heating the water. The water will be heated
to a boil. The unit will then automatically switch to “keep warm”
and the heating light will go off, the “keep warm” light will then be
illuminated. If the water in the unit drops below the set temperature,
the unit will automatically switch back to “heating” until the water
reaches the set temperature. CAUTION: Steam from the steam vent is
hot, use caution around the unit when in use.
4. Press the “unlock” button.
5. Place cup under dispense spout and press the “dispense button” or
manually dispense water by pressing the “manual pressure” on the
top of the unit to dispense water. Once water has been dispensed
(about 10 seconds later) the unlock indicator light will go off and the
unit will lock again.
6. Note: If an empty inner pot is heated, the overheat safety function (which
prevents an empty inner pot from being heated) will be activated, the
power will be shut off automatically to prevent the problems that can
occur due to overheating, the power will be on automatically when the
temperature declines. When the inner pot is heated with no water in it
or with the water level below the low water level mark, a bad smell may
be caused or the inner pot may become discolored. Please observe the
following:
• Do not connect the power without pouring water into the inner pot.
• Do not boll water when the level is below the Low water mark.
• Aer water is added, do not leave the lid open.
7. CAUTION: Please oen check the water level in the inner pot. Under normal
status, if an inner pot is being heated with no water in it very oen or for a long
time, the inner pot will become discolored, a smell may be caused due to the rising
temperature of the main unit, the temperature fuse may be broken, and even
worse, a re may be caused.
8. Aer Use Pull out the power plug from the outlet. Pull out the power plug
from the main unit. Detach the lid. Drain the water from the drain mark until
you can see the drain mark. No water should be le in the inner pot.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Do not wash in a dishwasher and never put it in a heated dish dryer. (The
unit may become deformed.) Store the unit in a cool, dry place. To remove
any discoloration from the area above the full pot mark, rub the inside
lightly with a wet sponge. If the discoloration can not be removed by
rubbing, clean the pot several times by using citric acid, (see the following
page).
1. To clean the main unit and lid, wipe any water off by using a
dry dish cloth.
2. Do not wash the main unit and the lid with water. (If water
enters the main unit from the bottom or from the dispensing
spout, it also gets into the electrical components in the main
unit and it may cause a malfunction.)
3. Do not use detergents. (They may leave an odor.)
4. Do not use benzine or thinner to clean the pot. (They may
damage the surface.)
5. Wipe any water off the inside of the inner pot by using a damp
sponge.
6. Do not use polishing powder, a scrub brush or a nylon brush to clean
the inner pot.
7. Clean the lter by using a brush. Aer washing the lter, be sure to
reattach it to the inner pot.
8. While you are using this unit, minerals dissolved in the water (like
calcium) can get stuck on the inner pot or on the lter. This is called
scale, and it is not harmful. It may appear in the following ways:
Milky-white gritty surface, white or glittering oating material,
discoloration in the nish like dark brown, gray, or green areas. These
are not discoloration or corrosion of the inner pot Itself, nor are they
akes from the coating.
9. When using tap water it is important to clean the bottom heating
element and the sides of the unit once every two weeks.
10. To remove calcium deposits, boil water with vinegar or lemon juice.
NOTE: any damage to the unit caused by calcium deposits is not
covered under the warranty.

CLEANING POT WITH CITRIC ACID
TROUBLESHOOTING
To maintain the pot’s performance, clean the inner pot once every two or three months by
using citric acid. Follow the directions for cleaning printed on the citric acid container. Since
the citric acid used for cleaning is a food additive, it is harmless to humans.
1. Make sure that the lter is attached to the container.
2. Put citric acid in the container. Amount of citrus to be used at one time: 20g for 1 liter
of water.
3. Add water to the full pot mark and mix the citric acid and water well.
4. Connect the plug immediately aer stirring them up, and heat the water to boiling,
then switch to the auto keep warm status.
5. Remove the power cord and the lid, and drain the hot water until you can see the drain
mark.
6. Boil a fresh pot of water as usual to remove any residual smell of citric acid. Then
discard the water.
