To reduce the risk of fire, burns, electric shock
or other injuries, careful study of the following
important safety precautions is strongly
recommended: For additional protection, the
installation of a residual current device (RCD)
having a rated residual operating current not
exceeding 30mA is advisable. Please consult
your local electrician for advice.
This appliance can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack experience or knowledge if they
have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way
and understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.

ALWAYS
3ALWAYS use the straightener only for its
intended use as described in this manual.

ALWAYS take care to avoid contact between the
heating plates and bare skin, particularly around
the face & neck.
3ALWAYS place on a flat heat resistant surface
such as a heat protection mat during corded use.
3ALWAYS ensure the straightener and heating
base are switched off, unplugged from the mains
and has cooled down completely before storing.
3ALWAYS regularly check the mains cord and
power connection sockets for damage. If the
supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by a special cord or assembly available from
the manufacturer or its service agent to avoid
a hazard.
3ALWAYS clean before storing away.
3ALWAYS keep mains cord away from hot or
heated surfaces.
3ALWAYS store in the original box in a cool, dry place.
NEVER
7NEVER use this product if it is not working correctly,
if the heating base and/or straightener has been

dropped or damaged or dropped into water or any
other liquid or if it has a damaged plug or mains
cord. If it has the straightener must not be used.
7NEVER use with wet hands.
7NEVER use the straightener on or near
bathrooms, showers, basins or other
vessels containing water and do not
immerse in water or any other liquids.
7NEVER place the straightener on or near heat
sensitive materials.
7NEVER leave unattended when plugged in and
operating.
7NEVER wind the mains cord around the handle
when hot or while storing.
7NEVER store while still connected to the mains.
7NEVER attempt repairs yourself. Repairs to
electrical appliances should only be performed
by a qualified electrician. Improper repairs may
place the user at serious risk and will invalidate
the guarantee.
7NEVER carry or suspend the appliance by the
power cord.

A 13 amp BS1362 ASTA approved fuse must be fitted.
Before switching on, make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is the
same as that indicated on the rating plate. Connecting it to any other power
source may cause damage.
This product may be fitted with a non-rewirable plug. If it is necessary to change
the fuse in the plug, the fuse cover must be refitted. If the fuse cover becomes lost
or damaged, the plug must not be used until a suitable replacement is obtained.
If the plug has to be changed because it is not suitable for your socket, or due
to damage, it should be cut off and a replacement fitted, following the wiring
instructions shown. The old plug must be disposed of safely because inserting it
into a socket could cause an electrical hazard.
The wires in the mains cable of this product are coloured in accordance with the
following code:
Blue = Neutral Brown = Live
If the markings on the terminals of your plug do not correspond to the colours
shown of the wires in the mains cable, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured Blue must be connected to the terminal which is
marked Nor coloured Black.
The wire which is coloured Brown must be connected to the terminal which is
marked Lor coloured Red.
DO NOT connect any wires to the earth terminal.
This symbol indicates that this is a 2-core appliance is Class II and does not
require an earth connection.

be placed back into the heating base to heat back up between styling different sections of hair.

Using your NO Strings Attached CORDLess STRAiGHTENER
PREPARING FOR USE
• Please read and retain these instructions before operating for future reference.
• Remove all packaging and keep safe.
• For domestic use only.
• Do not allow young children to play with this product. Adult supervision is
required at all times if the product is used near young children.
OPERATION
This unit operates on main 220-240V~ 50Hz, 50W.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
CORDLESS USE
• Place the heating base on a flat, stable surface.
• Ensure the voltage being used is the correct voltage for this product.
• Press the two release buttons on either side of the power cord adaptor to
insert the power cord into the back of the heating base. Ensure that the
power cord locks into place.
• Insert the plug into a suitable mains socket.
• Place the straightener into the heating base.
• Switch the heating base on using the on/off switch and switch the
straightener on using the on/off slide switch. The red power indicator on
both the heating base and straightener will illuminate. This indicator means
the straightener is being heated up.
• The red power indicator on the straightener will disappear when it leaves the
heating base. This is normal and the straightener is still switched on.
• The tourmaline/ceramic plates will heat up quickly to 230°C.

• Use the straightener to style a small section of hair at a time. Place the
straighter back into the heating base to allow the plates to heat back up.
Repeat this process for each section of hair until the desire look is achieved.
• Always switch off both the straightener and heating base immediately after use.
CORDED USE
• Press the two release buttons on either side of the power cord adaptor to
insert the power cord into the back of the straightener. Ensure that the
power cord locks into place.
• Switch the straightener on using the on/off slide switch. The red power
indicator will illuminate.
• The tourmaline/ceramic plates will heat up quickly to 230°C.
• Use the straightener to style as desired.
• Always switch off the straightener immediately after use.

section of dry hair before you use your straightener to protect your hair from
the intense heat.
To create ultra-SLeeK, SHiNY, STRAiGHT HAiR!
• Take a tail comb in one hand and my NO Strings Attached CORDLess
STRAiGHTENER in the other.
• Run the comb down your hair and follow with the straightener just above the comb.
• Pull slowly down the hair all the way to the ends making sure to smooth each and
every cuticle as you go.
To CurL your HAiR
• Section the hair starting at the nape of the neck. For a natural curl, take small
sections of hair and start curling from mid-lengths to ends, leaving some drag
on the root. Then wrap the hair around the bottom plate once and gently close
the plates.
• Keeping the plates gently closed, glide the straightener down the hair and
rotate the irons outwards, pulling the hair through the plates as you go.
• For more natural curls, use larger sections and leave more drag at the roots
near the front and sides of your hair. Use the same technique of wrapping the
hair and rotating the straighteners.
• If the hair does not curl straight away, let it cool down and repeat.

In the unlikely event of a fault or mechanical
defect in material and workmanship within
the 12 months of purchase the product
should be returned to the retailer for
replacement.
If the fault develops after 12 months and
within 24 months from the date of original
purchase and you have registered your
product online within 28 days of purchase,
you should contact Customer Services
quoting the product’s model number and
batch code.
This information can be located on the
underside or back of the product. The batch
code will be stated in an YYWW format
(e.g. 1133).

At the end of the useful life of the appliance,
it should not be disposed of with general
household waste.
Check with your Local Authority or retailer
for recycling advice in your local area.
To create natural movement and flicks
• To start, section the hair at the nape of the neck.
• Take small sections of hair and run the straighteners horizontally down the hair
until you get to roughly 2 inches from the ends. Then curve the straighteners
upwards slightly so the ends of your hair flick out. You can also curve the
straighteners under to make your hair tuck under. It’s all in the wrist action.
• Continue around the whole head of hair.
• Finish the style with my HoLD TiGHT HAiRSPRaY.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• The straighteners must be unplugged before cleaning.
• Let the straighteners down completely before cleaning.
• Wipe the straightener with a soft cloth or sponge moistened with a mild soap
and water.
• Dry thoroughly before use.
• Do not use any harsh detergents, abrasives, solvents or cleaners.
• Never immerse in water to clean.
STORAGE
• Ensure the straightener is completely cool, dry and, switched off the
straightener AND heating base and unplugged from the mains before storage.
• Store in the original box in a cool, dry place.
• Store in a safe place, away from children.
SERVICING
There are no user serviceable parts inside the straightener and/or heating base.
Always refer servicing to qualified service personnel. If you drop or damage your
straightener or heating base, do not use until they have been inspected and
approved by a qualified electrician.
