Introduction
1.1 Product description
The SERV & TWIST “1000” ®©™ (from this point on called S&T) is a machine that is
designed and constructed to make bowstrings. Herby it is possible to choose the speed of the
motor, quantity of windings and length for the bowstring.
The S&T can have a speed of 1000 rpm. The hooks to tight the bowstrings can be turn in the
same way or in the opposite way. The adjustment of speed and quantity of rotations are done
by a display, who works by touch screen
For other special wishes, we can make customized parts
Please contact your dealer for info and or availability.
The S&T has a red color body finish, engraved on both sides with the text
“SERV & TWIST”to improve visibility. The control panel has a unique serial number.
The maximum tension force applied to the hooks of the S&T is limited to 3000N. The torque
of the engines is limited to 2NM
The S&T is suitable for serving and twisting of bowstrings.

1.3 Conditions of use
Only use the S&T under following conditions:
-Make sure the user of S&T has read and understood this User’s Manual
-All Safety precautions fulfilled.
-There is no damage to the S&T
-No other condition disturbs normal working of the S&T.
-The S&T is mounted on a stable underground
-There are no children or pets in the surrounding.
1.4 Instructions for the user
The S&T shall only be used by operators that are fully instructed and confident
with the operation. Furthermore, it is obligatory to wear in all conditions of use
the necessary safety garments and clothing, such as: safety clothing, shoes, and
goggles. Avoid wearing loose clothing.

2Safety precautions
2.1 Introduction
In this chapter, the safety precautions are treated. Every user of the S&T shall follow these
instructions.
If there is any safety aspect not clear, please check the User’s manual or ask for
more information from the safety advisor or from your dealer.
In certain cases, specific additional safety precautions might apply. Please inform yourself
and apply these instructions.
2.2 Applicable Safety precautions
For a safe use of S&T, it is required to respect the following precautions.
Personal protection:
-We advise to wear safety goggles and applicable work clothing during the use of the
S&T.
Safety measures before the use of the SERV & TWIST “1000” ®™©
-Ensure that all setting components or loose elements of the S&T are properly
tightened or fixed.
-Check that there are no external damages on the S&T
-Mount the S&T on a stable underground.
-Always work in the most ergonomic way. Thus to avoid injuries from the back or
other inconvenient problems of health.
-Also ensure people in the direct surrounding wear the necessary personal protection
-Ensure that children or pets are not in the surrounding
-Check before starting to operate that there is no obstacle that can cause injury or
damage to the S&T
-Also ensure that the operator is physical and mental okay to do this kind of work in the
conditions that apply during the work;

-Wear the prescribed personal protection means during the use.
-E.g. Safety goggles , working clothing , etc.
Do not wear loose garment, jewelry (such as rings etc.) or loose hair during the work.
These can cause jamming of fingers or other injuries and might lead to other
dangerous situations.

2.3 Other aspects to consider in terms of safety
- DO NOT OPEN housing of the control panel when under voltage
- When the house of the control panel is open, do not put any voltage on the device
- Cooling openings in the control panel must remain free, not sealed, etc.
- DO NOT INSERT objects through the openings of the cooling ribs
- Test the emergency stop sporadically for its function
- UNPLUG power unit before replace fuses on the control panel.
- When replacing fuses, only fuses of the exact same type may be used. There are
always reasons why a fuse blows.
Always look for the reason why a fuse blows before replacing it
- Replacing a blown fuse repeatedly may cause damage to the S&T in the long term

3.1 Intro
Operating the S&T is very simple. However, it is of great importance to respect and apply all
safety precautions.
3.2 Mounting of the S&T
Mount both main blocks on the aluminium rails (can be ordered separately). Please consider
that the profiles are resting on a flat underground. This to avoid vibrations while working with
the S&T.
Use the included bolts M8 x 30
Mount the main blocks on a distance dependent of the bowstring you want to make.
Leave the four bolts of the under plate S&T on the side where the spindle is mounted loose.
By leaving the four bolts loose, it is still possible to shift this section over the rail.
The remaining four bolts of the other bottom plate main block as well as the two bolts of the
under plate main block can be fixed.
By turning the knurled knob of the pull block, it is possible to shift the main block and tighten
a bowstring.
Fix bolts after tightening.
3.3 Connecting of the electrical part
