Thisturntableissuppliedwithafactoryfittedandadjustedcartridge.
**Thefollowinginstructionsforadjustingthecartridgeareprovidedincase
thecartridgeisreplacedbyadifferentmodelatalaterdate.
InstallingtheLid
InstalltheLidcarefullyoverthehingeprongs.
TurntablePlatterandBeltSetup
1.Installthedrivebeltovertheinnerringundertheplatterandmakesure
itwon’tfalloffduringthesetup.
2.Placetheplatterthroughtheturntablespindle,
thenrotatetheplatteruntilyouseethedrive
motorpulleythroughthewindowatthetop
leftcorner.
3.Carefullygrabthedrivebeltandputitaround
theslotofmotorpulley.
4.Connectthepoweradaptertotheturntableandpowerontheturntable.

5.SettheMotorStart/StopswitchtotheStartpositiontoseeiftheplatter
motorspins.Iftheplatterdoesnotspin,trythestepslistedaboveagain.
CartridgeDownforceAdjustment
TheCounterweightsuppliedissuitableforcartridgesweighingbetween6.0‐
8.0g.
-GentlypushandturntheCounterweightontotherearofthetonearm
(withthescalefacingtowardthefrontoftheturntable).
-Removethecartridgeprotectioncap.
-Lowerthetonearmliftandpositionthecartridgeinthespacebetween
tonearmrestandplatter.
CarefullyrotatetheCounterweightuntilthetonearmbalancesout.The
tonearmshouldreturntothebalancedpositionifitismovedupordown.
Thisadjustmentmustbedonecarefully.
-Oncethetonearmiscorrectlybalancedreturnittoits’rest.Holdthe
Counterweightwithoutmovingit,andgentlyrotatetheDownforceScale
ringuntilthezeroisinlinewithblacklineontherearofthetonearm.
Checkwhetherthearmstillbalancesout.

-Rotatethecounterweightcounterclockwise(seenfromthefront)toadjust
thedownforceaccordingtothecartridgemanufacturer’s
recommendations.Onemarkonthescalerepresents0.05gofdownforce.
NOTE:Therecommendeddownforceforthefactoryfittedcartridgeis1.8±0.2g.
Locatetheanti-skatingweight
Youwillfindaanti‐skatingweightwithsmallfishinglinefromthepackage,
pleasefollowbelowstepstolocatetheanti‐skatingweight:

∙TheRCAJacksofthisunitaresharedasboththePhoneoutput
jacksandtheLineoutputjacks.Theyaredeterminedbythe
Phono/LineSwitch.
∙Whenusedasalineoutput,thejacksoutputanalogline‐level
signalsandcouldbeconnecteddirectlywithapairofactive
speakersortheappropriateinputofyourstereosystem.When
usedasaPhonooutput,theyshouldbeconnectedtothephono
pre‐amplifierorthephonoinputofthestereosystem.
∙TheRedplugconnectswiththeRightchannelandtheWhite
plugconnectswiththeLeftchannel.
Note:
∙IfthePhono/LineswitchissetatLINEpositionbutRCAjacks

RCAJackisnotdesignedtobeconnecteddirectlytothepassive/unpowered
speakersandifitdoes,thevolumewillbeverylow.
MainPowerConnection
Thepoweradaptorisinthefoampackingmaterial.Unpackthepoweradaptor
andplugthesmallendintotheDCpowerjacklocatedatthebacksideofthe
turntable.Plugthepoweradaptorintoyourpoweroutlet.
Operation
TurntableOperation
1.ConnecttheincludedpoweradaptertounitandPressthepowerbutton
(2)topowerONtheturntable.
2.Removetheneedlecoverfromthecartridge.
3.Placetheslipmatontheplatterandplacearecordontheslipmat.If
using45RPMrecords,putthe45RPMadapteronthecenterspindle
beforeplacingtherecordontheplatter.
4.Setthe33/45RPMSelectoraccordingtothetypeofrecord.
5.TurntheStart/StopdialtotheStartpositiontobeginspinningtheplatter.
6.UnlockthearmclipandsettheLiftLevertotheupposition.
7.Positionthetonearmoverthedesiredlocation(groove)ontherecord.
8.Movethetonearmliftlevertothedownpositiontomovethetonearm
towardtherecord.Alternatively,placetheneedleoverthedesired
locationontherecord.
9.Carefullylowerthetonearmontherecord.
10.Whenyouarefinishedplayingtherecord,raisethetonearm,returnitto
restonthearmclip,andturntheStart/StopdialtotheStop.
11.Pressthepowerbuttontoturnoffthepower.
12.Theplatterwillstopturningifthereisnosignaloutputfromtheunitin3
minutes.

BluetoothOperation
ThisunithasaBluetoothtransmittertosendthesoundtoaBluetoothspeakerof
headphonewirelessly.
1.PoweronyourBluetoothspeakerandensureitisinpairingmode.
2.PowerONtheturntablewiththepowerbutton(2).TheLEDindicator(1)will
firstlighttoREDandthenwillflashinblueduringBluetoothsearchingofthe
externalspeakerorheadphone.
Note:ifyouwanttodisabletheBluetoothsearchingfunctionyoucanpress
thePowerbuttonfor3seconds,thentheLedlightindicatorwilllighttoRED.
3.Whenpairing,theBlueLEDlightwillflashtwicepersecond,thenchange
tobelongLightingBluewhenpaired;
Note:ThisunitwillconnecttotheclosestBluetooth.Ifafter2minutes
noBluetoothspeakercanbefoundtopairwith,theBluetooth
transmitterwillbecomeinactiveandtheLEDcolorwillturntored.
4.Todisconnectpairing,longpresspowerbuttonfor3secondsorturnoff

Audacitywritesallthechangedandrecordedaudiotoadirectorycalled
Projectname_data,whichislocatedrightwhereyousavedtheproject
fileitself.
Thus,selectSaveProjectasfromyourAudacityFiletabandchoosea
locationandfilenameforyourproject.
PleasenotethatwhenyoustartupAudacityfresh,onlythe“SaveAs...”
menuoptionisavailable.

MaintenanceandCleaning
Yourturntablerequireslittleofnoregularmaintenance.Removedustwitha
slightlydampantistaticcloth.Neveruseadrycloth,thiswillcreatestatic
electricityandattractmoredust!Antistaticcleaningagentsareavailableat
specialiststores,butmustbeappliedsparinglytoavoiddamagetorubberparts.
Itisrecommendedtoinstalltheneedlecoverbeforecleaningormaintenance
iscarriedouttoavoiddamage.
Iftheturntableisnotusedoveralongperiodoftime,thedrivebeltshouldbe
removedtopreventunequalstretching.
NOTE:Alwaysdisconnecttherecordplayerfromthepowersupplyasa
precautionbeforemaintenance!
UsefulTips
Theturntableshouldbepositionedonalow‐resonancesurfacesuchaswood
ormultiplelayerplyboardtoavoidstructuralvibrationsdisturbingplayback.
CartridgeReplacement
1.Beforereplacement,putthestylusprotectorbackonthestylustoprevent
damagetothestylusduringthereplacementprocess.
2.Carefullyremovethewireleadsfromtheoriginalcartridge.

3.Loosenthetwoscrewsontheheadshellthataresecuringthecartridge
andthenremovetheoriginalcartridge.
4.Mountthenewcartridgetotheheadshellandtightenitlightly.Donot
completelytightenthescrewsatthismoment.
5.Connectthewireleadstothenewcartridge’sterminals.Thewirelead
colorcodesareasbelow:
WhiteLeftchannelpositive(L+)
BlueLeftchannelnegative(L–)
RedRightchannelpositive(R+)
GreenRightchannelnegative(R‐)
6.Adjustthecartridge’spositiontomakesureitispreciselyalignedonthe
headshellsothatthestyluswillbetrackingthegroovesinparallel
perfectly.
Toachievethis,placetheincludedpapercartridgealignmentprotractor
overtheturntablespindle,carefullyliftthetonearmandplacethetipof
thestylusonthepointsmarked130mmand250mmrespectively.Fine
tunethecartridge’spositionontheheadshelluntilthecartridgeis
perfectlyinparallelwiththereferencelinesatbothpoints.
7.Tightenthescrewscompletelyoncetheperfectalignmentisachieved.
NOTE:Ifyouareunfamiliaroruncomfortablewithcompletingthisprocedure,
werecommendconsultingwithaprofessionaltoperformtheinstallation.
