Chapter 1. Meet your computer
The new ThinkEdge SE70 provides enterprise-changing AI and computer vision applications that are
constrained only by your imagination.
With industry-leading engineering, reliability, and scalability, the ThinkEdge SE70 transforms existing camera
infrastructure into intelligent automated en ironments ideal for every industry.
ThinkEdge SE70 values on following points:
Bring machine learning to on-premises cameras to get fast and accurate insights.
Automate industrial, manufacturing, and retail tasks that previously required costly manpower.
Connect multiple camera streams and run several machine learning models per stream.
Collect the right data and keep it securely on hand for greater efficiency and insights.
Enable optimized security, analytics, manufacturing, and safety with edge computing powered by AWS
Panorama SDK and NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX.

Headset connector
Use the headset connector with:
Headphones or earphones with a 3.5 mm (0.14 inch), TRS (3-pole) plug
Headsets with a 3.5 mm (0.14 inch), CTIA-compliant TRRS (4-pole) plug
Note: This headset connector does not support standalone external microphones with a TRS (3-pole) plug
or headsets with an OMTP-compliant TRRS (4-pole) plug.
System LED status
The LEDs change color and blink to indicate status. A slow blink is once every three seconds. A fast blink is
once per second.

LED status Indication
Slow blinking orange The appliance is restoring to the previous software image and keeping all user
data.
Fast blinking orange The appliance is restoring to factory image and keeping all user data.
The appliance is restarting to factory image and deleting all user data.
Fast blinking red The appliance is under Fault Condition that supports automatically identify and
protect the computer from issues like Power On Self-Test and Overheat.

LED status Indication
Fast blinking orange The appliance is restoring to the factory image and deleting all user data.
Fast blinking red The appliance is under Fault Condition that supports automatically identifying
and warning issues like Overheat or boot crash during Power On Self-Test.
Network LED status
The network LEDs have the following status:
LED status Indication
Solid red Neither an Ethernet cable is not connected, nor Wi-Fi® is not enabled.
Solid green An Ethernet cable is connected.
Blinking green The appliance is communicating over the network.
Solid blue An Ethernet cable is not connected, but Wi-Fi is enabled.
Power button with indicator
Press to turn on the computer. The indicator in the power button shows the system status of your computer.
LED status Indication
Solid white The computer is operating normally.
Off The computer is off or in hibernation mode.
To turn off the computer, you can do either of following:
Open the system menu from the top-right corner and click Shut Down.
Short press power button until the indicator turns off.
CANbus connector
Used to connect to a CANbus enabled device or dongle. For more information about commands, see “Use
the I/O tool guide (for ThinkEdge SE70)” on page 18.
Note: Connections made to this connector must use the cable (26 AWG-18 AWG / 105°C).

Digital Input and Digital Output connector
Used to connect an external modem, a serial printer, or other devices that use a serial connector. For more
information about commands, see “Use the I/O tool guide (for ThinkEdge SE70)” on page 18.
Digital Input voltage:
– Dry Contact:
– Logic 1: Close to ground
– Logic 0: Open
– Wet Contact:
– Logic 1: 10 to 50 V DC
– Logic 0: 0 to 3 V DC
Output Voltage Range: 3.5 V to 30 V
Normal Output Current: 500 mA / Channel
Note: Connections made to this connector must use the cable (26 AWG-18 AWG / 105°C).

Reset hole
Used to reset your computer if the computer stops responding and you cannot turn it off by pressing the
power button.
Reset hole and power button operations
Use the following button combinations to reset the device. A short press is less than 5 seconds. A long press
is more than 5 seconds. For operations that require multiple buttons, press and hold both buttons
simultaneously.
