TIPS ONBATTERYUSE
Reversing polaritieswill damage the batteriesand possiblyyourset. Besureto
followpolarity(+and -)asindicated.
Donotmixdifferenttypestogether(Alkaline,Carbon-Zinc,Nickel-Cadmium
etc.),orold batterieswithnewones.
When notin useforan extended period of time, orwhile internal batterieswill not
be used,removethem topreventpossibleacid leakage orcorrosion resulting in
damage toyourplayer.
Whenthebatterieshavebecomedischarged,theymustbedisposedofina
safemannerthatcomplieswithall applicable laws.
Installation ofbatteriesshould onlybe done byan adult(forsafety).
When ShowsinTheDisplay
Ifthealkalinebatteriesareweakanddischarged,thissymbol “”showsor
flashesin the display,then the powerautomaticallyturnsoff. If thisoccurs,replace
the alkaline batteries(alsoifthe displaydoesnotshowanything,the batteriesare
dead).

If the setissubjecttorepeated shocks and all the data
stored in memoryisused up,the “ ” markisdisplayed
and the sound will skip orstopforabriefperiod until the
memorybaskethastime tofill up again.
Thissetisdesignedwiththelatest60 second ESP PLUSTM (ElectronicSkip
Protection)forCD playand 120 second forMP3 play-whichallowsvirtuallyunlimited
gentle skip protection abovethe normalskipprotection.
The ESP PLUSTM function will turnon automaticallywhen
the PLAY/PAUSE button ispressed.
WhenthePLAY/PAUSEbutton ispressed,the “”
(memorybasket)indicatorwillappearinthedisplay,the
digital data(music)isstoredin the “read-ahead”memory
bufferbeforeitisdecoded and played.It maytakeawhile
forthe baskettofill.
The ESP PLUSTM function preventsthe sound fromskipping byusing abuffermemory
thatstoresmusicdata.
ESP PLUSTM ANTI-SKIPSYSTEM
Thisanti-skip system allowsgentle swayingofthe set(asin walking)withoutmusic
skipping.Thisfunction maynotworkduringheavy jogging.

the memorybuffer(basket)isfull.
If the setissubjecttoashock orabump during play,the
datastored in memorycontinuestobe decodedand
played.Thisgivesthe pickup time tostabilizeand continue
readingnewmusic.Asthe dataisusedfrommemory,
theindicatorchangesfrom “”to “”.Oncethepickup
returnstoitsoriginalposition,newdataisstoredin
memoryand the displaychangesback tothe “”mark.
NOTE:
-Themusicmay stopiftheplayerreceivescontinuous
shocking orshaking.
-YoumayhearnoiseorskippingiftheDISCisdirtyor
scratched.

Fingerprintsshould be carefullywiped
