Congratulations! You have just purchased a Lexibook®Universal 5 in 1 Remote
Control. Compatible with over 3000 brands of audio-visual product, this universal
remote control combines the functions of several remotes: TV, Video Recorder (VCR),
Satellite (SAT), DVD and Auxiliary (AV).
Caution: Before its first use, you must set up the remote control so that it functions
with your chosen audio-visual products. To do so, please read these
instructions carefully.
There are two programming modes: manual and automatic programming.
To programme manually, use the code specific to the manufacturer or brand of the
appliance (4-digit code). Automatic programming is used when the specific codes are
unknown.
1. Manual Setting
1. Look up the four-digit code for your brand and type of equipment in the
code tables on the following pages.
2. Press the key and Device key which you want to control at the same
time, then the indicator light will turn on.
3. Press the four-digit code for your equipment. Each time LED blink one
time.
4. If the LED turn off, it indicates that the code is accepted.
Note:
1. If no key on your remote is pressed for 10 seconds, the programming
process will stop automatically, and you will have to start over.
2. Exit the setting mode: Press any device key in the setting process.

Note:
•The programming mode cancels out if you press buttons other than the digits.
•Try the remote control. If it does not work properly, try to programme it with other
codes.
•If your television has a video function (combined television/video) you must
programme it by pressing the VCR button on the remote control.

2. Quick Power Scan (Auto Find) Setting
1. Turn on the equipment you want the remote to control (TV, VCR, SAT
, etc.), and point the remote toward it.
2. Press the key and Device key (TV, VCR, SAT etc.) which you
want to control at the same time, then the indicator light will turn on.
3. Press the key again, the indicator light will flash.
4. Press the once at a time (setup counter up) until the equipment turns
OFF.
5. The LED keeps flashing.
Note:
1. If no key on your remote is pressed for 30 seconds, the programming
process will stop automatically, and you will have to start over.
2. If the LED indicator is off on the setting mode, it stands for stop the
setting mode.
3. If the code is not match with your equipment, then repeat step 1 to 6.
3. Power Scan Concepts
1. During the power scan mode, if you press and hold key, the power
code data is transmitted continuously.
2. During the power scan mode, if you press and release , the power
code data is transmitted on time in reverse direction.
3. During the power scan mode, if you press and release Device key, the
current code data is selected.
4. How to test the selected code?
2. Press and Digital 1. LED will be flashing. The flashing time is stand
for 1st digit of the selected code. E.g.: Code=5476, Led will be flashing
5 times.
3. Press and Digit 2, LED will be flashing. The flashing time is stand
for the 2nd digit of the selected code. E.g.: Code=5476, Led will be flashing
4 times.
4. Press and Digit 3, LED will be flashing. The flashing time is stand
for the 3rd digit of the selected code. E.g.: Code=5476, Led will be flashing
7 times.
6. If LED will not be flashing, it stands for number 0.
5. Press and Digit 4, LED will be flashing. The flashing time is stand for
the 4th digit of the selected code. E.g.: Code 5476, Led will be flashing 6 times.
1. Select the device key in TV-added (TV, VCR, SAT, etc...).
If you have problems programming or using the remote control:
•Check whether the remote control is pointing directly at the appliance and that
there are no obstacles between the remote control and the appliance.
•Check whether you are pressing the correct button for the Television, VCR,
Satellite or DVD player for your choice of appliance.
•Check whether your appliance is designed to receive a remote infrared signal.

5. If the LED blink 2 times and then on, it indicates that the code is wrong.
If the first code in the list for your appliance do not work, try every code
one after the other for your appliance.
You need exit the set ting modes
and restart the process.
If these codes does not work, try setting Auto
Scan procedure (automatic programming).
6. Try different keys on your remote control for the equipment you wish to
control. If you manage to control it, press the appropriate key for that
equipment (TV, VCR, SAT, etc.), indicator should flash and turn off to
indicate that the code is accepted.
7. If you do not manage to control your equipment, restart the procedure from
step 4.
